I have used a few tax programs, Ufile is the worst I tried. I started by 2025 taxes only to find this program is labour intensive and is difficult to navigate. Ex. If you have a slip with box 20 amount, you have to treat as business income. Then you have to make sure you fill out another document to ensure the amount carries forward. I have never seen it treated this way. I gave up on the program and when out and purchased Turbotax which is far superior and easier to use. I waste my money purchasing the Ufile program.
They lost a customer of over 9 years
I'm done with Ufile. This is the first time I actually needed to call, since I do it all on my own. I got an error, so I called and waited 30 minutes. The agent barely spoke English, told me to email, then hung up. I emailed, waited days, called again (another 30-minute wait), was told they'd handle it. They sent the same unhelpful information by email I'd already found numerous places. I replied with details, got no response. Called again, waited 30 minutes, got hung up on again. Never using them again.

call and hold time expected to be 30 minutes...thank God it only took 12 minutes and hard to understand person says W10 ok now, they fixed [patched]??. Why not not that on front of box? In large letters. 80 billion or more W10 computers still running....why require W11 ???. Next year I suspect I will migrate to other company software after forever using UFile.

Last year I used them with great frustration! This year I waited on 800 tel. line for 50 min and was told in broken English to call back later "I have many persons waiting on line; ask for AYMAN" call back later in very broken English. They told they could see that I'd waited 50 Minutes! and to call back later! I'll definitely go to some other Income filer!!!
Worst customer service
Worst customer service, I got ripped by buying the software and no support. The software does not even produce printable copy of the return and when I called the customer support, they have no idea.
Perfect for my moderately complex taxes
I've been using it for at least 12 years for a relatively complex rental income situation and other passive and employment income. Quite simple to use. Autofill is nice once the documents are sent in by mid-March.

I had a simple question about my purchase; however, the UFile support representative who answered the call was unable to communicate effectively in English.
I requested to speak with someone knowledgeable about the product, but instead, my call was disconnected three separate times without any explanation. This conduct is unprofessional, discourteous, and completely unacceptable.
I've raised a serious concern regarding my recent support experience, requested a follow-up, no answer from Ufile yet!

It is a shit software
It is a shit software. It is not accurate and it makes a lot of errors. logging out so many times while I am working on. and very slow as well. not worth it.

I used Ufile this year. That was the worst experience ever. There was a “warning” I tried several times to correct said warning, after the app sent me back to the beginning several times I finally completed my taxes to be efiled. Now Ufile is charging me an extra 5 times for 1 filing. Never again, worst app I have ever used!!

I just checked out UfileT2 for business taxes, now that web filing for businesses became mandatory. Web site is useless and borderline fraudulent with the statement "Start for Free". This is a nonsense statement. Nowhere on the site is a cost provided, which turns out to be $209.95 for one T2 filing, which is only known it seems at the point of filing. Customer service took 10 minutes by phone to divulge the cost. Needless to say I passed on using this company, before wasting time entering any data.

I have used U-File for years and it has been great. This year they have been terrible. I called for information they give false information and do not a clue where to enter information. If I listened to them i would have missed out on a lot of deductions. Shame on you U-File for your poor support team. So dissapointed
I purchased product
I purchased product - attempted to use Auto Fill My Tax (AFR). Screen said not available until Feb 9/2025 - so I waited - in mean time entered all medical and charity data. On Feb 9th attempted to use AFR - ended in a constant loop, worked with online help and AI for 3 hours , trying everything suggested. Finally decided to cancel and ask for a refund. UFile said I had "activated product" which of course I had . I explained - their answer then was the functionality would be available Feb 23/2026 . In meantime I had purchased Turbo tax and was successful in using AFR so was not all CRA. They still have not given me a refund.
Beware- this service is not “free” as promoted on their website…
Beware- substantial cost for product use that is not revealed until users have wasted considerable time uploading data. Website claims of “free filing” for T2 with no stated product fee are highly misleading. Do not recommend using this product and encouraging their disingenuous business practices. Helpdesk employees double down to defend the company’s duplicitous practices. Shame on you Efile! Be upfront with customers and let them decide if they want to pay the user fee before wasting their valuable time .
Tried filing a return for the first…
Tried filing a return for the first time and it turned into the worst online experience I can ever recall. Absolutely NOT user friendly with confusing
and incomplete instructions for completing a simple return that would take me 1 hour tops to fill out a paper return. I gave up after 3 hours and deleted my account. The only reason I tried UFile was file it before year end with only 3 days remaining.
Terrible user support excperience
I used Ufile last year to file my 2024 tax return. This year when I try to look at last year's return, there is no data. When I call Ufile, they said I must have deleted it and they could not help me. When I asked to speak to their boss, they hung up on me.
Does not recognize Public Service…
Does not recognize Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP), Federal Employee working in Ontario but living in Quebec. No QPP contributions reads as an error for filing, keeping me from submitting electronically.
The whole reason is to file electronically.
