The quality of the meat is simply exceptional—without doubt some of the best I have ever purchased. Every order has been beautifully prepared, expertly packaged and delivered to an incredibly high standard. You can really tell that they take immense pride in the quality of their products.

What truly sets Turner & George apart is their outstanding customer service. The customer service team is professional, friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely committed to providing the very best experience for their customers. A special mention has to go to Danny, who has been absolutely fantastic. He has been incredibly helpful, responsive and is a real credit to the company.

In a time when exceptional customer care can be hard to find, Turner & George consistently go above and beyond. If you’re looking for premium-quality meat backed by first-class customer service, I would wholeheartedly recommend Turner & George. They truly deserve every one of their five stars.

Following a significant order for £150, I complained that the Galician beef rib I received was different from what was shown on their web site. They sent me something better for a roast (small ribs and 2 of them to make up the weight), instead of a single Rib steak.

Their Customer service team didn't bother responding. Just seen other reviews that say the same.

Best to go into their shops, as online orders especially for beef can be very different to what is shown.

I would think twice before ordering from them again despite, being a loyal customer for the at least 8 years.

I've used this butcher numerous times and never had anything that was less than top-drawer!
Recent order highlights were their Butchers Dogs (my wife wants me to order some more!), and the bone in chicken breast (cooked with Tarragon, Lemon Zest and Chilli) was really tasty.

They used to be superb, not any more. They lack the common courtesy of replies to e-mails. Go elsewhere if you can.

I have been using T&G for a number of years now, always quite happy, four stars sort of happy. Some occasional blips e.g. you put a note not to vacuum pack but they still do, some steaks cut a bit to uneven… but nothing major. There is, however, poor coordination between the people who run their online business and actual shops. Here is the latest that pushed me over the edge. The online people marketed collection only THE HOMIE'S KITCHEN INDIAN BBQ KIT. We got excited, it’s really good stuff, ordered for collection on Wednesday at St John’s, invited friends over for the weekend, and got the Green Egg all ready to go. I show up at the shop on Wed, half hour before closing time. The guys look stunned, they got nothing for me. Promise to sort it out tomorrow, prepared to ship so that I don’t have to make another trip to Angel, and call to confirm. Nothing ships, no one calls. Email customer service. Nothing. Email again. In the meantime scramble for alternatives for the weekend. Eventually get a response on Saturday “so sorry but we do not ship”. I am sorry that I wasted time and ravelling to the shop and that we have to run around on Friday so that our Saturday plans don’t go flop. If “sorry” is all you get, it does not cut it in my book, not for a business positioning itself in premium segment and charging premium prices. Overall takeaway - take time to shop around, there are more options these days. Farmers coops… other people import Spanish beef and pork…

Incredible customer service. Sorted out a hiccup with minimal fuss and is an example to other shops on how to support customers.
Quality of the meat was amazing throughout and especially enjoyed the sausages!

Turner & George, located 4-5 minutes walk from Angel tube station is a butcher that focusses on classic British breeds like Angus, Hereford as well as rare native breeds of which some are UK ex-dairy, Galician Rubia Gallega, “Basque” beef, Spanish pork, British pork and lamb all reared with good standards of welfare. They also give a lot of importance to dry aging their meats longer than most other butchers. Sometimes up to more than 10 weeks!
In the last few years though, a good part of their range has taken a dip. They have ditched the amazing meat supplier from Norfolk (supplied by Tom), one of the country’s best rare breed pork suppliers from North Yorkshire, the pedigree rare breed pork from (Tom G.) who occasionally rears Oxford Sandy & Blacks, the White Park beef from Devon, the pedigree beef from Cambridgeshire and the amazing poultry from Bradford-On-Avon which lately, has only been available about once every two years. We are talking about 6 suppliers of the highest order that have not only been ditched, but not replaced with anything worthwhile. I think that there is a problem of mindset and attitude from the owners. Nobody seems to care as much anymore. There is no ambition, there isn’t quite the passion and knowledge of produce that there was before, the buying has become very price conscious, definitely not as adventurous, resting on their laurels, becoming too content, too conformist. Nobody seems to be on the lookout for what the next exciting new thing is on the market. Instead, they’re more worried about their profit margins, saving the pounds & pennies more than anything else.
Another big topic is the fact that with more shops than ever before, 3 in London, they’ve never shied away more from whole carcass butchery than in the last 12 months! Aside of the moral and ethical aspects behind whole carcass beef, often, butchers get the best picks from whole carcasses and that keeps the farmers & suppliers much happier and as a consequence, a win win deal for all.
It's about time the owners get their act together, step in to micromanage, get round a table and ask themselves where are they going with this project.

I’ve used this company for sometime now and their meat is the best. I regularly order a larder trimmed beef fillet and pack of chicken and it is always superb. Abi, in customer services, was efficient and very helpful with a delivery issue that I had. I would not buy my meat from anywhere else.

THE best place to buy brisket (not rolled) in the UK, ordered several times now and always been exceptional quality. Just put in another order for point end and diced pork for the Kamado, can't wait!

ordered meat on Wednesday arrived Saturday morning and I cannot fault the meat that was delivered exactly what I wanted, packed perfectly with the frozen reusable freeze bags.

I’ve been using this company for a number of years. The quality of the meat is always good and when I’ve asked for things to be packed in a different way they have done so.
I can particularly recommend the porterhouse, the iberico pluma, ribs and bacon. Delicious

I bought some meats from here and the delivery company messed up and did not deliver in time. Turner & George went above and beyond to make sure i received everything I ordered and also gave me a complete refund. The customer service of this company is top notch.

The meat is also very good quality. I have had Beef, Pork and Lamb, all were delicious

I have to say, I always LOVED the quality of products from this butchers.

But what really made me come on here was the customer service I received when a mistake was made by the delivery company on some products I had bought online.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful. They now have themselves a regular customer and promoter.

I’ve ordered from T&G on multiple occasions now, and it’s been a fantastic experience every time. Easy to order, delivered on time, well packaged and the meat is delicious. We’ve had burgers, sausages, ribs and steak, along with the marinade and rub - goes down a treat!

Edit: I sent an email of complaint into the company on Sunday May 12th. They replied today, the 13th and dealt with my issues in a professional and courteous manner and I therefore acknowledge their attempts to rectify the situation, so I withdraw my review.

Tuner and hooch claim to antibiotic free meat its a lie all free range meat are inject with antibiotics just cant leave the farm till the antibiotics are clear so people pay through the pocket for false meat pl check for urselfs to see im telling the truth

Absolutely shocking IT system. Cancelled my account after being a regular customer for a few years, then their system could not reopen it even though they said it had. Finally they do not even bother to reply to numerous emails. Rude beyond belief. But then I am only one customer who has spent a lot of money with them.

I Ordered a brisket point based on the picture they had on their website but was disappointed to receive the meat with a a big chunk of flat.the brisket itself was of poor quality. I should have taken better note of critical reviews here.

Consistently screwing up deliveries since they moved to the new system/website in late 2022. And it's not the DPD courier, that are excellent. It's T&G. Won't be using them again.

Cancelled Christmas orders outside London with about a week's notice, and offered a 10% voucher to ruin a future event as a make up.
Completely blasé about it as well, I appreciate there are strikes but better planning through couriers would certainly have helped deal with this better, as would a better approach to customer service.
Customers now left with no option but the supermarket.
Shop local, avoid these charlatans.
If you're in London may be worth a try, we've been pleased with the product on previous orders, but even if I lived next door I wouldn't order from these guys again after this.
If you're going to offer a country wide premium priced experience, try and get the basics right, and try and get someone half decent to run your comms and customer service dept.
These guys aren't capable of doing what they claim to do.
