We had a car crises mid way throug ha caravan holiday, and needed a replacement car fast. Jason Hobbs and the team at Glasgow hire couldn't have been more helpful. The car was excellent and very good value. We went on to have a very successful holiday. Many thanks

No major complaints about Turner!

I booked for two hires, one from Saturday-Sunday and another for Friday-Saturday.

Because the branch was closed on Sundays, I was advised that an extended hire was possible with just an extra day CDW to cover any insurance.

Pick up for hire 1 went OK - thankfully we were there early as there were a lot of hires that day but we were at the front of the queue. The van was grand, if a little heavy on fuel. Handing the van back was nice and easy.

Pick up for hire 2 again was OK, different van this time which was easier on fuel and a bit better to drive. Absolutely out of the control of Turner's, understandably, but worth commenting nonetheless. Again the return of the van was straightforward.

I got a surprise when I checked my credit card statement though to find that I'd been charged £45 I wasn't aware of for hire 1. I called Turner's to check this out and was told that it was £15 per day for insurance on the extended hire. Very confused and quite unimpressed as the van wasn't hired for 3 full days, CDW had already been paid for and If have expected the standard hire to cover insurance for the Saturday in any case (which was all I'd actually wanted to hire for in the first place). When I mentioned that it wasn't on the invoice I was just told that's because it's a separate company that deal with insurance for the extended hire. I rechecked the booking email and there was no mention of the £45 on that either. Seems very underhanded to me, but you live and learn.

It definitely put a dampener on the hire and will make me look elsewhere before committing to Turner's again.

The company were very professional and the costs were competitively priced, friendly staff, I have used this company many times and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Rental of the van very smooth and terms of rental was easy and straightforward.
Only downside of all was that because we went direct to the branch instead of booking online, we've been told that we have to pay about 30% more than what we found online which is strange and quite dishonest as there is nothing about that on their website...
Either we were misguided by website or scammed by an employee of the branch, cannot say really.
