Unethical doesn't even cover it with TotalEnergy. Complicit in atrocities maybe. Actively sponsoring the worst of humanity, definitely. Let's also not forget Total's heavy investment in the Arctic, instead of doing the right thing and investing in renewables. Essentially, this company is all about destruction. This will not be forgotten.

I am immensely disappointed that Total has not yet announced its exit from the Russian gas market. Total owns almost 20% of Novatek, Russia's second-largest fossil gas producer. It calls itself a "responsible energy major", but is heavily invested in Russian Arctic gas, with no plan to exit even now. All other western energy majors have announced their exit, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Putin is a murdering, manipulative gangster who has to be stopped. Anyone putting dollars into Russia is tacitly supporting him and his gang of plundering oligarchs. TOTAL's reputation will be destroyed if it doesn't immediately follow other western energy majors and announce its exit from the Russian oil and gas market in the next week or two. The world is watching ...

Response to previous review
As I had written a not very complimentary review on my experience with Totalenergies I was contacted by their Senior Complaint Handler. I found she was very sympathetic to the issues I told her about although some were not necessarily to do with Totalenergies. She has sorted things for me including access to their portal for entering meter readings and accessing invoices. I am very satisfied with the conversation I had with her and hopefully I will have no more problems.
