I informed Tom Hartley i wanted £70k for my Ferrari 430 Spyder 60th anniversay model to which he agreed, Out of courtesy i picked up his employee Dave at the airport, took him to my home where he inspected/drove my car. He then told me the process is Tom will call me following his feedback to Tom. He warned me i wont like the call as he is a hard man to work for with a very high turn around of staff! With that in mind Tom called me to state categorically my car requires " a new, roof, full front end repray, a complete new underpan plus a few other things which will cost at least £15K" He followed this up by stating these repairs require doing whether he buys it to sell or i sell it to someone else! ie The repairs MUST be done prior to selling! THOSE WERE HIS WORDS! For this reason he offered £55K taking into account £15K for repairs? Trusting Tom Hartley at his word i negotiated a bit but he convinced me "by the time I F around trying to get these repairs completed there is no-one can do it cheaper than him at £15K! After a bit of duress i agreed to accept £58K on the basis of his point as stated. Dave drove my car away then 2 days later to my shock my car was advertised at £99950 with NO mention of repairs required! 2 days after that it was sold having no repairs performed as he claimed! Tom Hartley cannot be trusted and is not a man of his word despite his claim. I watched his son Carl on tiktok stating when a buyer is looking at a 10 or 20 year supercar and points out flaws he tells them "you dont want to be buying a 20 year old car at £50K you want to be buying a car at £150K which has no flaws. They use the same technique when hustling the sellers they buy from! I put my trust in Tom Hartley given his brand but i have been left completely gutted, conned and dis-respected! Tom Harley cannot be trusted! BUYER or SELLER BEWARE!!! I will see him in court!

My experience with Tom Hartley has been nothing short of appalling.

I contacted the dealership three times by telephone, sent two emails, and even reached out via Instagram regarding a car I had for sale. Despite all of those attempts, I received absolutely no meaningful response whatsoever.

On one occasion, the receptionist assured me that someone would call me back. That call never came. What’s even more frustrating is that nobody even knew who I was or what car I was trying to offer them. Since then, I’ve continued to receive marketing emails from the dealership saying they want to buy my car. Ironically, when I reply to those emails, I’m met with complete silence.

For a business that promotes itself as one of the leading prestige car dealers in the world, the lack of communication, professionalism and basic courtesy is astonishing. If this is the level of customer service offered to someone trying to sell them a desirable vehicle, it certainly doesn’t inspire confidence.

I’ve genuinely received better communication and customer service buying everyday items from a discount retailer than I have trying to deal with Tom Hartley.

It’s incredibly disappointing and, frankly, not what I’d expect from a company with such a high-profile reputation. Based on my experience, the customer service simply doesn’t live up to the image.

Similar response to a previous review regarding a Robert James at Tom Hartley having spent time on the phone exchanges by email then complete silence, if you value your time best avoided. “The Deal Maker” ironic indeed.

I enquired about a 911 and had a trade in, i totally accept dealers offer what they think is fair but the service from Robert was absolutely terrible, no customer service skills at all. Very dismissive and real disappointment for a garage id expected good things from... service and experience chronic..I've bought 30+ cars over last 25 years and can honestly say Tom Hartley garage up with worst I've dealt with... Robert could not give a monkeys
