I was recommended Tixel by a friend. Had a fairly good experience using it for the first time. One small issue was the auto purchase feature. The event I attended was a weekend event split over 2 days. Once the Saturday part of the event was one hour from starting I could no longer use the auto purchase. I only wanted a ticket for the Sunday event. Also it was not that intuitive to find the auto purchase or know what is was about. The only reason I knew about it was my friend telling me and showing me what to do

Auto-purchase unclear and final price significantly higher than advertised “10% cap”
I had a disappointing experience with Tixel, mainly around pricing transparency and how auto-purchase works.
I set auto-purchase to buy 3 tickets together from one seller. Instead, it completed a purchase for a single ticket without any clear final confirmation showing that my preference for grouped tickets had been overridden. That was not obvious from the setup process and is not what I intended to agree to.
The bigger issue is pricing. Tixel advertises a “no more than 10% above face value” resale cap. In this case, the ticket ($204) ended up costing about $251 all-in once Tixel’s mandatory buyer fees (~$24!!) were added. These fees are much higher than the fees charged by ticketek, which are ~$7 per transaction.
That puts the real final price at roughly 25% above face value, which is very different to the 10% cap that is promoted to users.
When I raised this, support focused on policy wording and internal calculations rather than the practical outcome: the advertised cap does not match the total price paid, and the auto-purchase flow did not clearly reflect what was being purchased at the point of execution.
I was told the sale stands and advised to relist the ticket - a single, seated ticket which - at the inflated price it was purchased at - will be difficult to re-sell and fully recoup my costs.
Sharing this so that others are aware that the “10% cap” does not reflect the true all-in cost, and auto-purchase may not behave in line with how it is set up.
