Mon expérience avec TinyURL a été l’une des pires que j’ai vues depuis longtemps.

Je me suis connecté avec mon compte Google, et une fois à l’intérieur, le site m’a bloqué l’accès à mes propres paramètres en exigeant soudainement la création d’un mot de passe TinyURL, alors que je n’en avais jamais créé. Impossible de modifier mes données ou de désactiver mon compte sans passer par cette étape forcée. C’est un procédé opaque, qui ressemble fortement à un dark pattern destiné à piéger l’utilisateur dans un compte qu’il n’a jamais configuré.

Pire encore : lorsque j’ai raccourci un lien affilié pour un logiciel totalement indépendant d'eux, TinyURL a affiché après coup, un message affirmant qu’ils “peuvent toucher des commissions” grâce à ce lien, ce qui finance leurs services gratuits.
C’est totalement inacceptable : cela signifie que le service se réserve la possibilité de monétiser les liens d’affiliation des utilisateurs sans leur consentement explicite. Autrement dit, si vous utilisez leur raccourcisseur, TinyURL peut potentiellement intercepter ou capter des commissions qui devraient vous revenir.

Même si on ne sait pas s’ils le font réellement dans chaque cas, le simple fait qu’ils annoncent pouvoir le faire est déjà extrêmement problématique. Aucune transparence technique, aucune explication, aucune option pour refuser.

Entre les pratiques de connexion douteuses, le verrouillage du compte, et ce flou très inquiétant autour des liens d’affiliation, TinyURL donne l’impression d’un service qui profite de la naïveté des utilisateurs au lieu de fournir un raccourcisseur propre et fiable.

Heureusement, j’ai supprimé mon compte (après de nombreuses manipulations), changé mes données et retiré l’accès Google.
Je déconseille totalement d’utiliser TinyURL, surtout si vous manipulez des liens affiliés ou des données sensibles.
Il existe des alternatives bien plus propres, transparentes et respectueuses des utilisateurs.

I am the first to give out 5 stars. I can’t remember the last time (if ever) that I’ve given out a 1 star. However, in this situation, it is HIGHLY justified.

I have been waiting for tiny url to provide dns settings / transfer the domains I own, which I bought through their platform. This has been an ongoing ask for 6 weeks! This should not be hard to do.

The support team has gone radio silent on me a few times. I have had to open up 3 separate support tickets. I am completely stalled on being able to use the domain I purchased through them for a website build and custom email address.

Prior to this, I had a great experience with tiny url. I am a paying customer who has been a monthly paying member for 3+ years. However, if there is any chance you may need support, do not use this company.

I still feel bad writing this 1 star review, but I do not want anyone to have to go through what I’ve been dealing with.

I am happy to provide an update as this moves along. 6 weeks, 3 separate support tickets, and m 10+ emails from my own accord asking for an update has been unacceptable thus far. I will give credit to the team once this is resolved.

Bill's Superheat is absolutely amazing. We called them this morning with two problems with our gas heaters. Within @ 30 minutes they called back and we were able to resolve one issue right over the phone. Since Rocky was in the area, he was able to stop by and solved the problem almost immediately. Turned out to be low batteries in the remote control sensor control. Thanks to such a quick and easy response, we are back to comforting heat. Thank you so VERY much Bill's Superheat.

The installation Operative was a credit to the company. The installation was carried out professionally and all rubbish removed on completion.

From start to finish they were a a company i would work with again.

I receive a lot of scam emails. Russian scammers frequently abuse legitimate websites by using their “Contact Us” forms to send phishing messages.

Around 90% of these scam emails contain a link created through the TinyURL service. Why? Because TinyURL allows users to generate short links instantly, without any registration.

Unfortunately, TinyURL does not have an automated takedown system that reacts to abuse reports filled via a web-form. Users must send complaints via email, and these are processed very slowly. As a result, phishing links remain active for several days.

All of this makes TinyURL a safe haven for scammers.

In my opinion, legitimate businesses today should avoid hiding their URLs behind short links. End-users need to see the full domain in order to assess the risk before clicking.

Frankly, most legitimate internet users no longer need short URLs.

I've added a filter to my email client that automatically moves any emails containing TinyURL links to the Trash. Better safe than sorry.

A number of individuals are using tinyurl.com/ before a retailers name in order to con people via Facebook. I've seen 2 adverts today for Mark's and Spencer and B&Q who are supposed to be providing food hampers and garden storage boxes respectively for just £10. The same names come up again and again using John Lewis and the Range in the UK and other companies called Target, Decathlon and Home Depot. The stories are all very similar - "John Lewis sacked me", "the Range just sacked my daughter ", "my daughter works for M&S and she told me about this secret offer".
Other scammers give great reviews and the same names keep cropping up. Gwen Anderson, Teresa Jones, Charlotte Taylor, Nicole Turner.... and several more. All women aged 40+ many of whom look very earnest and could well be American. A lot of these Facebook pages have only been created very recently. Be very careful who you give your personal information to !!!

I used TinyURL throughout my childhood; it was one of the best foundations on the internet.

Dunelm is a great place to work and all the products are of top quality.

I was at the Hillcrest Health and Rehab facility in Bellevue, Nebraska for two weeks after receiving a new shoulder replacement. I received Physical Therapy and Occupational therapy while I was there, in addition to nursing care. The therapies and care that I received were excellent and I was very happy with the outcome. I am now home and doing well. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs short-term skilled care with rehab therapies.

Well this has been about a month ago. My Aunt was there for rehab because she fell and broke leg. Many times I got a call from her and she was in tears. I had to run out there almost everyday. We were caught between a rock and a hard place. My Aunt was very afraid for anyone to speak up because she feared what would happen after we left. They would leave her for hours before changing her diaper, she couldn’t just get up and go to the bathroom because of her broke leg. Her food was always cold and as she put it untasteful, this went on for a month. So we as a family started to bring her food from different places and take her to the restroom but it was painful for my Aunt but we had no choice. Now we endured this and I’m not gonna be untruthful my Aunt is a handful to deal with at times but she is 87 years old and I thought they would be trained to handle difficult patients but anyway we got through it until the day before she was set to leave and you wouldn’t believe but the CFO came to her room and said he heard she wasn’t gonna pay her deductible so he asked my elderly aunt if she had the money he said they take check or credit my aunt said are you not supposed to bill me. He she that wasn’t a option and this man told her if she didn’t have a check or credit card that tomorrow he would follow her home. What kind of mess is this I was sitting there totally confused I never had this to happen to any one I know. I told him that he delivered his message and now he could go. He study trying to over talk us. I had to keep my cool because she had one more night to stay and their visiting hrs end at 8 pm so she would be alone in was very scary to leave her but I had no choice after saying him will be back tomorrow when she leaves and I made sure I was there because we didn’t need there services anymore but the coward didn’t show up anyway. This is the experience we went through so i wouldn’t let them take care of anyone you care for and love. This place need to be shut down and the that cfo as he called himself shouldn’t ever be allowed around anyone elderly. You have been Warned.

I would like to commend the legal work done by Ms. Kristi DiPaola of Cona Elder Law, Melville, NY. Over the past months, she has been very helpful in establishing a Revocable Trust, Power of Attorney and Last Will and Testament. Assuming these are standard End-of-Life documents - perhaps routine in some respects - nevertheless she demonstrated a knowledge that was commanding and facile. She took the time and was patient in walking me through the Revocable Trust and offered helpful suggestions in revising my Last Will. I was at ease in talking with her. And she explained legal terminology in layman's terms. What I most respected was the definite, clear advice she offered when I was not sure what to do. Always pleasant, available when her schedule allowed and never in a rush to "get it over with." I recommend her without reservation.
