We recently adopted 6 retired hens from egg farms and we couldn't be more happy with selection, pick up and follow up process with TTCCH.

On the day of pick up there were lovely ladies there that helped us to get the girls all set up for transport and we also receive some information on care and a sample of chicken food.

The girls are very happy in their new home and we couldn't be more happy to have them.

The work that TTCCH do is incredible and we will definitely be on the lookout to add more animals to our farm.

From start to finish, the communication was fantastic, and the handover process was so well organised—everything was done efficiently with minimal stress on the girls. All the info on adoption and care was easy to access and really helpful too.

As expected, the hens were a little worse for wear at first, but they were calm and relaxed—and they’ve settled in beautifully! They now love following us around and happily take treats from our hands 🥰

We recently adopted 5 hens. Communication with Til The Cows Come Home was great from beginning to end. Handover was well organised, efficient, and minimised stress on the girls. All information on adoption and care was easy to access and helful. The girls, understandably (we were prewarned), looked a bit worse for wear, but were happy and relaxed. They have settled in beautifully, love following us about and being hand fed treats. Highly recommend!

I adopted 8 rescue hens at their recent event in Mt Eliza. Communication was great throughout the enquiry process and collection. I already had chickens, but for newbies, they sent a Hen Care Guide as part of the process. My girls have settled in and now learning how to "chicken".

The people who run these programs are angels and do such amazing things.The chickens we adopted are so sweet and enjoy getting fed by my children and give us eggs daily !

Wonderful experience adopting ex egg farm chickens last weekend. The process was seamless, and I'm so glad a screening process is put in place to ensure these hens go to good forever homes. A shout out to Sarah, the driver who brought the hens out to the pickup point! She was so accommodating and efficient when processing the hand over. I highly recommend adopting hens through this organization! The girls have really settled into their new home, enjoying scratching around and doing chicken things!

Adopted 4 ex-battery hens from "Til The Cows Come Home". Communication was perfect and they supplied lots of pdf documents for anyone new to adopting chickens. Adopting ex-battery chickens is so rewarding. They can arrive looking a little scrappy - but the gorgeous girls get all feathery and healthy in no time at all. It is so rewarding, seeing these chickens feel sunshine, dirt under their wings, grass under their feet and be able to perch at night - all for the first time. If you're considering chickens - please contact this organisation and wait for an opportunity to adopt - rather than purchasing from a breeder.

2 weeks ago I adopted 3 beautiful hens to come join our family they are doing super well and get along great with our other girls a little bonus we have been getting 4-5 eggs a day

I had the most wonderful experience with till the cows come home. I adopted some rescue chickens from these lovely people, they do amazing work and really love the animals they help. My little hens are fantastic, they still lay on a regular basis and are very friendly, sweet natured chickens. Would thoroughly recommend. You won’t regret it.

I adopted 2 hens. The whole process was an absolute delight. It was easy but I felt the organisation asked the right questions and supplied very good information to ensure the hens would be well cared for and going to the right forever home. And our hens! They are just beautiful. They settled in far better than I expected. I also really appreciated that Til The Cows Come Home contacted me to see how it was all going after we bought our gals home. We got 5 rescue hens off til the cows come home and they have been amazing. The adoption process was great, it is good to know they actually care about the homes the chickens are going to. Our girls have already laid so many eggs. They laid 2 on the day they came home, 7 on day 2, 8 on day 3, absolutely perfect layers, but we were just happy to give them a safe home to live out their days the eggs are just a bonus. The hens feathers are missing in spots but today is day 6 since we got them and they are starting to grow back. Great organisation and would happily adopt from them again.

We adopted 4 ex egg farm hens and are thrilled with our sweet girls . They have settled right in with our other hens and ducks and are already eating out of our hands (and gifting us eggs as a bonus !) .I'm so happy these girls will be able to have a happy retirement at our place as family pets .

So impressed with this rescue from first contact to follow up after the adoption of my rescue chickens. Communication is second to none. The entire process was very professional. I was also impressed that they check the suitability of all rescue homes. I highly recommend them.

The only "issue" I had was multiple emails about the same thing 😅

Besides that, everything went smoothly

Couldn't fault them! We saw their add for chickens needing adopting and all communication was fast and detailed. We arrived and the chickens were in perfect health (although we knew that chances were high that they would not be considering they were ex-cage chicken.) Our hens laid on the trip home and two days later have given us a dozen eggs already.

The team were great to deal with. Lots of advice given and make themselves available for after care advice if needed. Recommend rescue. Give an animal a second chance and a happy life 😀
