I trusted a renewable investment that turned out to be fabricated. The emotional impact was heavy when withdrawals were blocked. C͟y͟p͟h͟e͟r͟G͟u͟a͟r͟d͟I͟n͟t͟e͟l͟ helped turn things around by tracing the issue and recovering my funds.

We call it Think and Sink.
While it has good option analysis and ddl exchange with Excel, unless you love thousands of click to do simple things and a very unintuitive interface you will not like it. There are cult followers and then there are those that want to get something done. Horrible for portfolio management.

Had TOS for years. It NEVER worked right. The "On Demand " has not worked correctly for over four years. EVERY Friday at close, it says "System under maintenance" and it stays that way until market open on Monday. I have been locked out of my account 3 times with no warning. During open trades! It let me deposit money and then said "withdrawal unavailable". Take my money but won't give it back. Finally closed my Schwab account. Thank God! What a joke. Try TOS right now. It just won't work. I bet you $5 BILLION it's under maintenance right now (08:42 8/30/2025). Let's check. YEP! Under maintenance as always. If you call them to complain, you will see they really just don't care. It's obvious this platform is a left over from TD Ameritrade and Schwab doesn't want to maintain it.

Extremely confusing and non intuitive for a beginner...I've tried and tried and tried but I still don't get it-Luckily I'm only doing simulated trading or I would have lost money on non intuitive mistakes using TOS for a real trade...

This is a piece of shit. SSE was a really good program . I won't be trading with Schwab much longer.

Think or swim should be called SOS for anyone trying to use it. COMPLETELY non-intuitive/user friendly. The worse piece of software I have ever seen or used in my long life. While this -might- be useful for someone who wants to spend all their free time learning how to use it and using it, for anyone just wanting to do simple stock tracking and trades it is way too complicated, or as Schwab says 'full featured'. Having used Streetsmart since the 90's I will not waste any more of my time trying to figure out how to use this.

Schwab is garbage. Anytime there is a glitch in their system that causes you to lose money they find a way to twist it an blame it on you. I lost $3600 today because of their system and they refused to help. This isn't the first time and they should be sued.

TOS is garbage. I'm a former institutional trader and this is a ridiculous, overwrought toy. Cumbersome. Designed for video-game day traders that like bright flashing colors. What a joke. The project manager at TOS/StreetSmart conversion should be FIRED. I'm leaving Schwab after 25 years and a premium customer. Adios idiots.

The platform does not have the capability to show my open option orders in a cohesive window. My spread orders are in one window, but without quotes for the underlying and each leg of the quote. I have to find the underlying price in another window, individual quotes for each leg of a combination order in another window, and then when I place the order, the latest quotes are not shown in the order placement window. Schwab's Street Smart Edge has all of those features and is much better for option traders. And TOS exports are .csv formats without all the data included, and not .xls formats similar to SS Edge, thus limiting the ability to use my personal Excel programs for trading analysis

I used TOS when it was at TD Ameritrade and it worked flawlessly. Now it is junk. The P/L calculation is way off. for example when day trading it will indicate I am up 500 dollars, but in reality I am only up 250. The same is true in the down direction. Today, I was up in TOS 150, but the reality when I look at my balance on the website, which Schwab customer service instructed me to do instead of relying on TOS P/L, I'm down 99.00. This is such bs I can't believe it. When I called Schwab a month ago they gave me a poor experience payment of 200. But, the program is utter shit now for day trading. Therefore, it is pretty useless. You can use any other platform for swing or longs. I am supremely disappointed and feel this is a win for Schwab and a loss for the street.

Worst stock trading app. Not intuitive, to busy and crowded, lack tax lots information for all assets classes. Street smart edge was 10x better.
It crashed 5 times. Had to reinstall 5x

Frequently unavailable

Can’t even place a limit sell order manually. Yes SSEdge was great. TOS is 1980’s, horrible. I’ve spent years with it now and want to stay with Schwab, but, I’ll need a new broker because tos is truly the worst and most unpleasant to look at while trading, flashing lights and bad colors and design. Truly, it’s 1980’s. Every platform now is superior! Robinhood, webull, IB, etc
Shame on Schwab for buying something so bad and forcing people to use it. So pissed!

Unnecessary complicated!

'Normal' users only need a couple of technical indicators, but TOS shows dozens and dozens of indicators which make things a lot more complicated than usual.

Please bring back StreetSmartPro! which is a lot easier to use. Thank you.

This Platform worked well when it was owned by TD Ameritrade. It has been a mess since Schwab purchased it. Constant login issues, longer periods before funds availability, more complex trading restrictions, inefficient, to name a few. The studies are charts are still ok, but I will never use this platform for trading.

This program is confusing and awkward. It blows my mind the way they have it set up. Nothing seems to work right and I am extremely unhappy with Charles... figured he would of made a better platform.

Completely unintuitive.
Ugly.
Too long of a learning curve.
Tools are archiac if existent.
Charting is 1990's at best.

2 thumbs and 2 big toes down.

Prior options history charts were 100000000000 times better in every regard such as:
1. Charting
2. Navigating from one option to another.

What a waste of money.
