I was scammed out of £175 by this group. I am shocked that it still has a Trustpilot rating . It clearly writes the positive reviews itself.

I am writing this to formally document my experience with The Travel Makers, as the conduct I have encountered raises significant concerns under UK consumer protection law.

I purchased a Berlin trip via a Wowcher voucher and was instructed to complete the booking through The Travel Makers. After redeeming my voucher, I was presented with flight times that were unsuitable unless I paid an additional fee for “upgraded” flights. I paid this fee in good faith.

Since that payment, The Travel Makers have ceased all communication. I have received no booking confirmation, no itinerary, no flight details, and no acknowledgement of my repeated attempts to contact the company.

Despite Wowcher claiming the holiday has been “confirmed,” The Travel Makers have provided no evidence whatsoever that a booking exists. A holiday cannot be considered confirmed without documentation, and the complete lack of communication is unacceptable and may constitute a breach of consumer law.

I am posting this review as part of a documented record of my attempts to obtain what I paid for. If this matter is not resolved promptly -through the provision of full booking documentation or a complete refund - I will pursue all appropriate avenues, including:

Formal complaints to relevant regulatory bodies,

Chargeback proceedings, and

Escalation under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, where failure to provide paid services is clearly addressed.

I strongly urge The Travel Makers to respond immediately and resolve this issue before further action becomes necessary.
Please note I will NOT answer any phone calls from this company as I wish every communication attempt to be documented moving forward.

Our initial booking (Travel date was 3rd august) was made on the February 2024 as instructed by a deposit of £600 was paid on 18th Feb, and as per Tripmakers instruction we paid the remaining £2349 in March. Not sure why they wanted us to pay in installments, anyhow full payment was made in Mar. My ticket was issued after several chasers only on 10th March with full eticket details and etc.
24hour before travel, we tried to do online checkin, it said you cannot do online checkin. We called Tripmakers no one picked or returned our call.
However, on the travel date at the airport checkin, the airlines staff said, the agents have not paid the ticket money so you wont be allowed to board. I literally felt like fainting because, I have booked so many holiday activities. I tried about 50 times to reach tripmakers by phone until the checkin desk closed for the flight, no answers.
It was really traumatic. Came home, calmed myself and cancelled my connecting local flights at 65% loss. Booked another flight leaving next day but the prices were almost twice as much as when I paid.
I’m in contact with the tripmakers since they just confuse us saying they’ll refund till date nothing and now they changed their name as the travel makers !!!! Do you want to go through having to pay Twice for cab to airport, and back for next day, sleepless nights, missed connecting flights, pay double for long haul flights with poorer connections. All of this at Tripmakers fault, and no compensation.
Stay away from Tripmakers.

Further proof of scam, the number provided to call back +18456525521 seems invalid. If they are genuinely trying to work on the case, they have all details to contact me and provide compensation for the pain I went through because of my booking through this fraud agency.

Fraud scammer Omeribrahim made a fake account posted a nyc pic and took all the money and then with no booking ran away why u guys provide access scammer scammer

I have been trying to contact Uzair for the past week and my emails are bouncing back. This is extremely frustrating.

Awful experience. Took us over 3 weeks to confirm the ticket after taken the deposit. Also the price bumped up between the kayak price and the link "the trip makers" sent us to pay the deposit... which sadly we didn't notice. Avoid at all cost, such a dodgy and awful experience.!!!

You just have to put their address on google maps! You are buying tickets from a line of commercial bins.

From the moment I made contact with Miss Sharon, she was very professional at all times very polite and very understanding to my requirements, she did her very best to find me the best deal and I really did appreciate the time given to me, every bit of contact was hassle free with Sharon, wasn’t pushy to make me buy a fight just very well presented to the business she works under , i solute Sharon very much and wish her all the very best in the coming future , well done Sharon 👏👏👏

My adviser was Ahmed he was very patiently and helpful.

We had a bit of issues with processing payments but got there at the end.

The customer service was top notch. Mr Oniel gave me a great deal beyond my expectation. I am really excited 😊.

David was tremendously helpful in getting us an affordable ticket to Zanzibar. He communicated and kept us informed while finding a package that suited our expectations.

A month ( 3 October 2023) after booking a flight with him, he came up with a lie that the airline has cancelled our ticket because of over booking, we contacted the Lufthansa, I gave them the booking reference and e-ticket numbers David provided to them and was told our ticket is still valid and confirmed AND THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY CHANGES OR ISSUE WITH THE BOOKING. Lufthansa updated our date of birth on their website.
However, later this afternoon, David sent an email to say our ticket is now unconfirmed, on calling Lufthansa they said our agent has just suspended our ticket, He has denied suspending our ticket, he said it is Lufthansa, Please DO NOT use this travelling agent for your own sanity.
This matter is still ongoing. WE ARE VERY FRUSTRATED AND STRESSED. They are good in their sales, but trust me you may never travel with that booking. Their parent company PCM TRAVELS UK LTD-09650513 has a very bad review. I wish I checked them very well before engaging them.

Avoid this company!!! I booked 2 tickets from London to Colombo through Jet cost and they gave me a low quote online where you would need to put in your card details. (Be careful they take your detail and card details as well.) They phone me after two days later to say fare has gone up in prices!! . Dodgy company, stay away from them!!!

David was very knowledgeable and friendly and made booking the flights so much easier.

Great service from Oniel. Very polite and friendly, even when we talked his ear off squabbling amongst ourselves!

Ahmed was amazing in assisting as with our booking.

Trip Makers, please take care of that gentleman because he is an asset to the company
