I had built a tutoring business since leaving education but there are only so many hours children are available and so tried going online creating a group programme. I got nowhere. I love teaching but I knew nothing about digital marketing, sales or anything else needed to acquire new students and my personality is such that self-promotion does not come naturally. I've now got 9 students but more importantly ways of growing a business. Without the Teacher Project, I would still be stuck.

I joined The Teacher Project because I knew I wanted change. I’ve always loved teaching but after 14 years, the classroom just wasn’t the right fit for me anymore. I wanted more freedom, more flexibility, and to be able to enjoy teaching again while, most importantly, being present for my family.

At the start, I put a lot of pressure on myself, but the biggest shift for me has honestly been my mindset. It’s a learning process - and once I started embracing that side of things, everything began to fall into place. I realised that every session with my amazing coach Jessie, as well as the other coaches in the clinics, had so much value. There’s always a small nugget of advice to take away, and if you follow the guidance that’s laid out, The Teacher Project can genuinely help turn your skills and ideas into a fully functioning tutoring business in a matter of weeks.

I’m the type of teacher who needs everything to be perfect but I’ve come to realise that being reflective is key. When you put in the time, make use of the all resources and ask the right questions, you start to see results and build something sustainable you can truly be proud of.

Joining The Teacher Project has truly been one of the best things I have done. Not only has it allowed me to be in charge of my own business (and earnings), but has also given me the freedom to finally get back more balance in my life away from the endless marking, planning and assessing.
TTP guide you through the process of setting up your own business -something I could not have done on my own and definitely not at this speed. I am so glad I found The Teacher Project. I have been wanting to take my teaching online for a while, but was unsure of where to start. The program itself is very thorough and breaks everything down into easy to follow steps. I have had solid support and intuitive responses from my coach, Matt. He has consistently been one step ahead of my questions, checks in regularly in my progress, and is a positive motivator and mentor. Since I've started, I have learned so much and just got my first sale! I am so thankful for the community as well - it's been helpful to get to know others on this journey and be able to grow together. They keep me motivated to reach my goals and grow my business.

So I'm fairly new joining the teacher project programme and I was quite apprehensive due to me seeing lots of tutors of a more academic topic like maths and English make 10k months so I wasn't sure if Fashion design was a favourable topic to teach. But with the vision I have for myself and with the encouragement of the community and especially guidance from your coach Matt, everyone is cheering you on because everyone wants to see you win. It also helps that everyone is going through their own journey so you have other like minded individuals to share or get advice from 24/7.

In the teacher project, I've enjoyed the weekly pods as it makes you subconsciously have a goal to work towards a personal goal each week. I also love the Skool community for the training sessions that I can catch up on in my own time.

I can definitely say my wins so far are the students I've been able to teach on my own platform just from my love for designing and portfolio building and my new own mindset shift in knowing I can believe and achieve in anything I set my mind to achieve despite all obstacles.

3 months after joining I made 45k in revenue. They gave me the opportunity to be in an amazing community full of support and love and wanting you to win. I love this community and I can't wait to be giving back.

The program is very comprehensive. Coaches and tech team available and knowledgeable to support and guide. Tons of resources and opportunities to connect with likeminded educators.
Self paced but motivated to be accountable which I needed. Practice labs ( making sales calls very helpful) as well as scripts to use.

I am pleased that I invested in myself and feel like I am learning useful tools and techniques everyday.

I feel like a little more guidance on Signature offer could have been helpful, not sure how they would do that but having invested time and energy into mine I am still not convinced it is the direction I should have gone in. I did reflect and listen to my coach when he felt my first offer wouldn’t work well and I have committed so only time will tell. He was very helpful with editing my video ad and always responded with a quick video to help me navigate the ads manager or other technical questions I had.

The Teacher Project has everything you need to begin and grow your own business. Each coach is warm and welcoming and there are plenty of resources, online sessions and advice out there to grab onto. No question is too trivial. Starting your own business is a scary thing, why not do it with experts around you, and others in the same boat?

At first, I was convinced The Teacher Project was too good to be true. I spent a long time speaking to people in their sales team and also reaching out to people who had already completed the programme before finally deciding to go for it. And now I'm 3 months in, I’m really glad I did.

The Skool community is a huge highlight and the weekly sessions with your coach are great – they’re motivating, practical, and a great way to meet people who actually want to help each other succeed. My coach, Hanford, is incredibly supportive and approachable and always around if you need guidance or reassurance. Whether it’s during the weekly call or 1-to-1 messages with your coach, any question I’ve had has always been answered quickly and clearly. It never feels like you’re on your own. Having someone there to sense-check ideas, answer questions, and keep you moving forward makes such a difference, especially when you’re starting something new.

I’ve also joined one of the clinics / coaches’ office hours and it was a great experience. It was reassuring to meet other people in the same situation and realise you’re not the only one figuring things out. The coaches were knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely happy to help – no question felt silly or brushed off.

Since starting, I’ve managed to get a group up and running, which I honestly wouldn’t have had the confidence to do beforehand. The programme is essentially a step-by-step guide to setting up your own tutoring business. The templates, systems, and support with ads make everything feel manageable rather than overwhelming. It’s practical, clear, and gives you the confidence to actually take action.

It’s exciting to see where this can go, and for the first time, building something alongside teaching feels genuinely achievable. I’d highly recommend it to anyone considering starting or growing their own tutoring business!

Our business has progressed so nicely that my husband was able to take early retirement from teaching and join me in the building of the business. My experience with this project has helped me launch a tutoring business.I know teaching but i do not know business.This course and support has taught me to use AI advertise on Facebook and Instagram its taught me how to frame my conversations with potential students .I have faced stumbling blocks along the way but have had great support from my coach Hanford .The one negative was the initial sales They didn't explain things clearly promised my tutoring idea was viable with them and that turned out to not be the case. i felt they just wanted a sale and felt a bit blindsided when I started.That notwithstanding i decided to plow on with a different idea suggested by Hanford my coach and I have NOT regretted it. I have had a few wobbles of confidence along the way; this is a lot of money for me but the support and encouragement and know how has led me to getting my first students I have great expectations for this year in terms of growth and success There is also support from the community you meet some great people within the project and the tutorials are mostly easily understandable..I would encourage anyone who wants to start their own tutoring business but isn't tech business or social media savvy to join this project

It’s a new year and I have just completed 7 months with The Teacher Project. It has been an amazing and exciting journey of self-discovery, adventure and great progress. I now have 9 students with a revenue of £18000 and I am sure this is only the beginning of even greater achievements. This wouldn’t have been possible without guidance and motivation from my amazing coach Hanford. He has mapped out a clear road map and has helped immensely with my Facebook video ads which have been a game changer. I have also gained invaluable experience and advice from attending specialist clinics on sales, adverts and mindset run by tried, tested and very enthusiastic coaches. Learning about the achievements of other aspiring entrepreneurs has been a great source of inspiration. I feel lucky and privileged to be part of this amazing community.

I wish I could give a better rating, but my overall experience with The Teacher Project was disappointing.

While the initial pitch sounded promising, the reality fell far short of expectations. From reading these reviews, as well as the reviews on Reddit and other websites, it's clear that I'm far from alone.

Firstly, the onboarding process felt rushed and overly sales-driven. The team seemed more focused on closing the deal than understanding my goals as an educator, and as the salesperson wasn't a teacher, nor did they have an educational background, they couldn't really understand me.

The program itself is essentially a generic business coaching course with very little tailored to teachers. Most of the content can be found for free online.
Also, after checking, the guarantee they advertise is full of conditions, making it nearly impossible to get a refund.

I invested thousands of dollars ($6000+), only to receive advice that led to my ad accounts being banned. When I reached out for help, there was zero accountability, and now I can never run ads again.

Also, worryingly, many of the glowing 5-star reviews appear to come from teachers who are only 1–2 weeks into the program, still in the “honeymoon phase.” I encourage anyone considering this to look at the dozens of poor reviews from people who completed the program first before making a decision.

As of now, more than 5% of reviews are 1-star, and some haven’t even been responded to. That should raise serious concerns. For a company charging between $5,000–$10,000+ for their sales course, these reviews, and course structure deserve scrutiny. Things don’t add up.

I’ve since spoken to other teachers who feel similarly. Ashamed, frustrated, and financially burned after spending thousands, with nothing to show for it. If a large amount of the course is related to ads, which I cannot run (after following your advice), how can I be expected to be successful?

If you’re doing your due diligence, please read the negative reviews carefully. They tell the real story.

Bottom line: The Teacher Project overpromises and underdelivers. If they want to rebuild trust, they need transparency, accountability, and a genuine focus on helping teachers succeed, not just making sales.
