I've been wanting a leather strap to replace the synthetic ones I've had for years but never found one I liked enough to spend the money on. I had no doubts about the strapateer. It's beautifully designed and made and has attracted comments and enquiries since I started using it. Even the packaging is well conceived.

The camera strap arrived quickly and its an elegant yet rugged strap for my Leica SL2.

Matthew at the Strapateer was kind, considerate and understanding. I had been concerned that my billing address in Japan seemed incomplete. Matthew kindly included my extra information with the delivery instructions. Also when Fedex updates stopped before delivery Matthew apologized and reassured me. The crank camera winder arrived safely the next morning in secure packaging and the product was easily attached to my Leica M3; using the simple instructions and allen key included with the winder.

So good to deal with a company run by a photographer making superb products for photographers! All my rangefinder cameras now have these straps and I’ll be buying more when I start using my SLRs again in the summer.

I have purchased several versions of these for various cameras. The leather is strong yet supple and can be worn around the neck all day. I typically walk about 10 miles when I’m out with this and the strap doesn’t chafe and doesn’t add loads of weight. I love the classic look and the nickel hardware is a pleasure to the touch. These are the only straps I will use from now one. The icing on the cake is that Matthew is a true gentleman and pleasure to deal with.

I had a great experience with Strapateer. I was very impressed with the Type A strap, packing was great, leather and hardware looks and feels great to use! Strapateer definitely hit the nail on the head with the vintage feel of these straps. Feels right at home on my M3 and Nikon F. Excited to order more in the future!
