The RoomPlace has really poor customer service!
My husband & I found a sofa/love seat at the RoomPlace in Algonquin, IL at the beginning of Sept. We purchased them, but were on backorder. No problem. My husband found info online to get free delivery (it was going to cost approx $150.). He emailed the sales associate the info, & also left a msg to have him call us. The sales assoc never called us, never responded to the email we sent. We called again, no response. My husband ended up going in to the store to talk to our salesman to see if we would get free delivery. He was told this situation would be forwarded to the GM. Never heard from the GM either!! He emailed their customer service with all the info. He was called back, but said the woman could not have been any more rude! She said she'd follow up, but never did.
I have worked in retail mgmt for years, & cannot even fathom not getting back to a customer!!! What poor customer service! After several weeks, we decided to see if this sofa/loveseat could be found elsewhere. We did find it online, for a better price than the RoomPlace. So we cancelled the RoomPlace order. My husband then got a call from customer service. He explained that if we had any issues after the delivery, we didn't know if anyone would respond or even care.
I will not step inside a RoomPlace again. We were left hanging, no one, including the GM, ever felt it necessary to contact us. The epitome of poor customer service!!!

Update.:
I drove to the store and sorted it all out with a sales person face to face. Much easier that way. They made my day good 🤗.
I purchased a $4000 sectional sofa and was offered 30% off my purchase, the sales person 'forgot' to take 30% off all the items so I had to contact them to amend the invoice. they do not answer their phones nor their Chat on their website. I will have to drive 30 miles to see them in person. Just infuriating !

Nice product, bad sales tactics
Sales managers will tell you what you want to hear and then not support the sale even 5 minutes after it’s complete. Forget about any after sales help.

Painless Furniture Experience
We had been looking at different couch options for a while, and we found one online that we were really interested in. We went into the store where it was supposed to be on display, but unfortunately it was no longer there. The Sales representative we worked with ,Elvira ,was amazing. She gave us some options, let us browse around, was not pushy at all. We ended up going with a modular sectional and it was difficult to find the right configuration as sizing was an issue. She worked with us for over an hour to make sure we got something that would work. She helped us move pieces around on the showroom floor to make sure we were able to see what we were purchasing.
Overall a great experience.
Average experience…
Did all the research myself. Emails were never returned. Finally decided this was the best couch for us and The Room Place just happened to have it. Just average customer service and I should have placed my order online and not wasted my time going back to the store in person just for a sales person to type in my info.
