Lin was definitely an expert in helping us choose our THE DAY scent
She was very knowledgeable and helpful and calm in giving us more options and guidance on smells

It’s a great shop staff always happy to help especially Lin who helped me pick up perfume and helped me secure a second one for a deal. This isn’t the first time that she’s been super helpful. She is an absolute asset.

Just been served by a lovely young lady in the Harlow perfume shop, she could not help us enough to find my daughter a perfume for her wedding.

I’ve been shopping at The Perfume Shop in Harlow for a while now, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. The customer service is always excellent, but Lin in particular really stands out. She consistently goes above and beyond, offering friendly, knowledgeable advice and making the whole experience feel personal and welcoming.

Nothing ever feels like too much trouble for her, and she always helps me find exactly what I’m looking for. It’s rare to come across service this good these days—Lin delivers a true 5-star experience every time. Honestly, she should be running customer service training groups—she sets the standard for how it should be done.

Highly recommend this store, especially if you get served by Lin!

My shopping experience at this store was fabulous due to it being well lit, bright and cheerful displays well positioned and clear, but more importantly the friendly attentive staff member 'Lin' who served me. I shopped over Christmas and returned again in January, because of her knowledge of fragrance and her honest advice. She has a lovely, friendly persona and very efficient too! I received a great deal from my rewards - Bonus! Thank you!!

I visited this branch yesterday to purchase a scent for a gift with just key features in mind based on what the recipient currently wears. What could have been a long, confusing visit turned out to be a lesson in strengths, variations on skin types etc, which enabled me to choose a scent that is perfect for the person I’m buying for. Lin was friendly, patient, knowledgeable about the products, prices & promotions and I walked away with one less thing to do on my list! I’ve actually seen Lin in the store on a number of occasions throughout the years and have always been happy to return based on my experience with her. Thank you for your time and help Lin!

Absolutely disgusted with the Perfume shop store and supposedly customer service.
I ordered a click and collect on the 23rd of December.
For perfume £76 and what I thought was a a Christmas bag for £3.
I noticed after I paid for it that it wouldn’t arrive until after Christmas. I went into the shop on Christmas Eve and explained what had happened and seeing they had the perfume on the shelf could I have that one and they can refund it when it arrived in the shop. I was told point blank they wouldn’t do it and didn’t care it was a Christmas present. I was told to buy another one which I was forced to do and refund the order when it turned up.
I called there customer service when I got home and the girl said I should call back on Saturday and they will call the shop to refund.
I called in total 3 times to ask them to call the shop and request a refund. Each time they said they would but never did. I could tell they outsource customer service so I shouldn’t be surprised that they had no common sense to help.
So I went into the shop today and finally got a refund. The disgusting thing also is they charged me £3 for a bag they give away free with every purchase. How can they charge for a bag that is free.
I will never ever buy perfume again from them as they don’t care about the customer unless it was just the staff in Harlow and customer service.

I visited The Perfume Shop in Harlow, Essex, which has always been my go-to store whenever I run out of perfume. I have consistently received lovely service in the past.

However, during my visit today, I had a very unpleasant experience with a lady who appeared to be a supervisor or manager. From the start, she assisted me in a very bossy manner. When I asked whether the store carried Estée Lauder, she responded with a strong stare and a harsh, authoritative tone of voice, which made me uncomfortable.

Another staff member then assisted me and helped me select two perfumes under the Buy One, Get the Second Half Price promotion. Unfortunately, I did not realise at the time that one of the perfumes had not been included in the offer, and I proceeded with payment and gift wrapping. When I later asked whether Estée Lauder Beautiful had been counted, I was told that it had not, which led to a disagreement.

I asked if it was possible to still apply the promotion by adding another perfume, but I was told this was not allowed. I then suggested returning the items so the transaction could be processed again correctly. The staff responded in an irritated manner, stating that she would have to unwrap the gift again. She shrugged her shoulders and rolled her eyes, clearly showing frustration and a lack of professionalism.

The bossy lady then approached the counter and asked what the problem was. The staff discussed the situation among themselves, but I was unable to hear what was being said. Eventually, the bossy staff processed the return, continuing to speak in a bossy and dismissive tone. She asked for my receipt, and as I was taking it out of the paper bag, she abruptly extended her hand and said, “Just give me the paper bag,” in a very commanding manner, which made me feel disrespected.

I was very close to returning everything I had purchased due to how rude the interaction was. To be clear, the other staff members were kind and professional. The lady who assisted me and wrapped my gift was apologetic in a manner of forced, and although she appeared irritated by the situation, she apologised and I apologised as well, as I acknowledge that I should have checked my purchase more carefully.

Unfortunately, the behaviour of the supervisor overshadowed the positive service I have received in the past. Her attitude lacked basic professionalism and left a very negative impression. As a result, I do not feel comfortable shopping at this store again.

Reduced price , quick delivery and always shop with you guys

Very easy to order what perfume or aftershave in any size, I always went to the shop but online it's just as easy probably without the helpful staff you encounter in the shop , keep up the good work

Went in today with an idea in mind but asked for a few suggestions from Lin - she presented me with some great ideas, talked me through them and was very patient in letting me make my mind up, something I’m not used to when browsing fragrances! Ended up leaving with a new scent I’d never seen before and very happy with it.
