The Online Greek Tutor Omdömen

Such an amazing lady thank you

My tutor is great. She's so understanding and patient with me, especially as I don't always do the homework - life just gets in the way. I enjoy our sessions and get a lot from each lesson. It's been a much better way to learn to language. As my teacher is Greek, I also get history and local lessons too :)

Nikolas is very patient and communicable person. He maintains the framework smoothly, while allowing me to explore points or approaches in my learning

As a Korean living in Hungary, finding good opportunities to learn Greek hasn’t been easy. However, I was fortunate to discover this institute. I have been taking Greek A1 level lessons with instructor Despina for about 3 weeks now, attending classes about three times a week on average.

In every aspect, she is absolutely perfect. She patiently gives me enough time to recall the words I’ve learned, gently corrects my mistakes and constantly encourages and praises me. She introduces a wealth of new vocabulary, grammar and practical expressions perfectly suited to my level. Even though my English is not perfect, she immediately catches my drift whenever I express myself awkwardly or incorrectly, keeping our conversations flowing seamlessly.

While I thoroughly enjoy the live sessions, I also love spending time reviewing and studying on my own and the homework she assigns is incredibly useful. In particular, whenever she teaches a new word, she explains its etymology and how it connects to other words, a approach I find fascinating and immensely helpful for my Greek studies.

While I am sure all the instructors are wonderful, I am especially grateful to this institute for matching me with instructor Despina. I am also extremely impressed with the institute's system itself. Features like automatically recorded lessons which allow me to review the material whenever I want and the ability to upload homework directly make it an exceptionally well designed platform.

Although my current goal is to earn the B1 certification, if given the opportunity, I hope to continue studying with instructor Despina until the day I can communicate fluently and effortlessly with native Greek speakers.

Θέλω να μιλήσω γρήγορα και καλά ελληνικά. Γι' αυτό θα διαβάσω σκληρά ελληνικά με τη Δέσποινα! Σας ευχαριστώ για όλα!

Great teacher, flexible and easy going, affordable with good quality teaching!

Together with my wife we are having semi private Greek classes every week (10 so far)
Vasia has been amazing so far.
Very dedicated and passionated. Going beyond the weekly class as she is available if we have questions.
Negatives….I have been thinking but I really can’t think of any.
I highly recommend The Online Greek Tutor and Vasia in particular!

We are going at a good pace. For me recommendation of greek songs/music helps me with pronunciation and phrasing. My teacher is good at providing recommendations .

I had a very good experience! My teacher Lena is amazing and caring to my needs.
We built an amazing relationship! The system works very good!

I have been taking weekly online lessons for a few months. My teacher (Evangelia) is knowledgeable, prepared, patient and kind. The administration of the school is responsive to questions and efficient. The cost seems very reasonable.
I am happy to give the school my highest recommendation.

Iliana is fantastic! She is knowledgeable, patient and warm.

Im very happy with my teacher and progress in learning Greek language

I have been with The Online Greek Tutor and my wonderful tutor, Ioanna, for 3 and a half years now and am still thoroughly enjoying my lessons. I'm very happy with the flexibility of private lessons, that allow me to go at my pace, and the seemingly endless variety of material that my tutor is able to provide, which keeps the lessons varied and interesting. We have recently studied some Greek literature, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and we have now moved on to focusing on listening skills, which is one of my weaker areas. My tutor is very patient and kind and explains clearly when I am having difficulty understanding something or have made a mistake. Most importantly I can see how much progress I have made as my Cypriot friends have started to talk to me in Greek more than they do in English. I am far from fluent but I can much more often now understand and use the language without having to translate to and from English

I'm very grateful to have had such high quality lessons from a very professional company and such a fabulous tutor and would (and often do) highly recommend The Online Greek Tutor to others.

So far I am really enjoying my lessons. It's early days, but everything during the intake process and the initial lessons has been really great.

Lessons are tailored to me. Relevant and good fun although always challenging

Very positive experience with the 3 different teachers i had over two years.

I absolutely love my lessons with Ioanna and would recommend her and The Online Greek Tutor to anyone looking to improve their Greek.
Ioanna is excellent at adapting lessons to areas of my interest and is able to explain difficult concepts in easily understandable ways.
My Greek lessons have become a favourite part of my week.

Wonderful teachers. Flexibility and a good user platform

I am very happy with Iliana my teacher and I will be continuing my lessons with her!

I have been taking lessons from The Online Greek Tutor for a number of years. Valentinos is an extremely engaging teacher. But the most important factor for me, is that The Online Greek Tutor instructors are professional language teachers who themselves actively engage in improving their own teaching skills with continuing education and seminars. It is critical when learning a language to have a well-rounded approach that includes syntax, grammar, vocabulary and conversation. This, in my experience as a bilingual person with a background in linguistics, makes for the most efficient approach.
