I've recently joined as a network Client and the service I've received from Lara and the matchmaking team has been incredible! I'm looking forward to this journey 🥰

My mum joined this service last year, as she wanted to start dating after her divorce. She hadn’t dated in years and had hardly any confidence, but after talking to Lara and the team she started to shine! She went one dates and then only after a few months, she found someone who she is truly happy with! Thank you Lara for bringing my mums confidence back and finding a great match!

I decided to join the match maker Uk as I read online that the company was legitimate and had a high success rate. I had a conversation with Lara and she said there was lots of men which were suitable on the books for me and we spent a few conversations about what I was looking for and I was really excited for my journey as I thought I would finally meet someone but this was not the case.
I got sent 2 matches by mistake one an older man out of my age range and a women.
I got matched with one guy who wasn't on their books but I think they scouted on their network datebase who wasnt really interested and the only guy I did get matched with who I went on one date in over 6 months was someone from another agency and he told me he didnt pay that another agency had scouted him and he wasn't interested.

I spent over £2000 on this service and I did ask for a refund and was told I could remain on their networking database.

I was really not happy with the service I was given and I feel really upset that I was given such hope for me to meet someone and ended up feeling upset and really disheartened.

Its a shame as I feel I could of recommended the match maker uk to a few of my friends and family but wouldn't feel happy to do this now after my experience.

As a working professional I have found the dedication and time that Lara and team have provided to my relationship journey invaluable!! Having been on several dates in the last six months I am now currently in a relationship with a fantastic partner having lots of fun and adventure. I also appreciate the team for checking in with me for date coaching …. Highly recommend !!

Not a genuine company af all. Not registered at Companies House in their own name and if you do find them look at their turnover. Very poor service and no real database. All fart and feathers as we’d say in the north.

I was genuinely overwhelmed.

I've been single for 3 years and can write the book on dating APPS having suffered all the bear-traps: Catfishing, gold-diggers, "damaged" souls, stalkers, the list is endless.

I was introduced to this company and was really cynical.

But I gave it a go...

Professional, attentive, discreet and empathetic. I was quickly introduced to a number of potentials and had a few carefully selected dates.

All were wonderful experiences and my poor opinion of dating was reversed to the wonderful "problem" of deciding who would share my final chapter on my very own Happy Ever After.

I joined this agency on the strength of the reviews. Being a busy professional woman, I felt I was investing in my future by paying a very high fee for a ‘bespoke’ matchmaking service. I was genuinely excited to meet with what I was told would be 'at least' 6 matches over 6 months.

It didn’t take me long to realise that the customer service was extremely poor, with delays in communication. It was nowhere near what I would deem a 'personalised' service. I've had better service from Match.com or McDonalds. Many times I was left frustrated with little, no, or blase communication.

But my most serious grievance lies in the fact I was only given one ‘match’ in over 2 months - he was married (separated but hadn’t yet started court proceedings) and almost ten years above my specified age bracket. On joining, I had only specified two criteria - up to a certain age and unmarried. This ‘match’ contravened on both.

As the matchmaker didn’t seem to have any one else on her books, I felt this man was pushed onto me as a date. I felt strong-armed via a Zoom call into meeting this man who was over 20 years older than me and married. While the date was pleasant enough (I went on two as I didn’t have any other options given to me) it was very clear to me that this man was at a completely different life stage, still married, and looking after grandchildren in his home.

I repeatedly had to chase The Matchmaker for more matches and they weren’t forthcoming. I was never offered any live connections apart from this one man.

I ended up terminating my contract after less than 3 months. The Matchmaker refused to refund any of my money after delivering no matches, along with questionable, contemptuous service.

The experience for me was highly distressing and emotionally and financially damaging. As you will see from the other reviews, the Matchmaker’s first form of defence is attack by claiming customers breached their contracts. In my case I cancelled of my own accord due to a lack of matches and serious misconduct.

I have written this review to advise others to do their due diligence on this company. Ultimately, she took a large sum of my money without remorse and delivered scant service and no product.

I joined The Matchmaker last year and I have to say Lara and her team have worked extensively on finding me matches. There was also extensive dating coaching which was appreciated, as it was all so new to me, being a newly single mother and a long time married!
I enjoyed my dates and have met some lovely men along my journey. I look forward to continuing with Lara next year. Thank you for all you've done so far! Roll on 2024!

I had a disappointing experience with the owner and her team. I believed her when she told me in our initial chat that ‘she could think of at least six women on our books’ whom she would like to introduce me to. It turned out that all of her introductions were via other agencies, and those introductions were few and far between and not great. Also communications between the owner and her team were poor. I would not recommend this agency for seniors. They should stick to a younger demographic!
