We stayed here for 4 nights and cannot…5-star Hospitality! Wonderful Stay with Fantastic Hosts
We stayed here for 4 nights and cannot recommend it highly enough. After a nightmare experience with a major hotel chain earlier in our trip, staying with Lorraine and Brian at the Beechcliffe was a breath of fresh air. They offer the kind of genuine, caring service you only get from brilliant independent accommodation.
From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was superb. Lorraine kindly helped us position our car perfectly so another guest would have plenty of room to open their doors without scratching ours. She took the time to have a proper chat with us and gave us a brilliant insider tip: instead of buying two return tram tickets to see the illuminations at the Central Pier for £3.50 each, we could get an all-day pass for two for just £10. This allowed us to hop on and off as much as we wanted over 24 hours for just an extra £3! Brian was also incredibly helpful and carried our suitcases up to our first-floor room for us.
We were given a brilliantly organized, color-coded set of keys for our room, the inner door, and the main front door for night-time access. The room itself was cozy, clean, warm from the radiator, and had absolutely everything we needed for what we paid. The double bed was very comfortable, and the electric shower and washbasin always had plenty of hot water.
Breakfast was a highlight every single morning at 08:45 AM. We started with cereal, orange juice, and a choice of tea or coffee with more than enough milk provided. The Full English breakfast was freshly cooked, piping hot, and followed by a great mix of hot white and brown toast. What we loved most was that Lorraine genuinely cared—she asked every single table, including us, if we had a good day yesterday.
We had absolutely no complaints whatsoever. We will definitely be back and have no hesitation in giving the Beechcliffe a well-deserved 5 stars!
