I'm 74-years-old and have been putting off doing anythinng about my degenerating hearing for years. I visited Wardale Williams Opticians in Sudbury, Suffolk to have an eye test and noticed that they offered hearing assessments through the Hearing Care Partnership so I signed up for one. The audiologist, Ian Rushton, was fantastic - after wax removal he carried out a comprehensive hearing test and told me what I already knew - that my hearing was poor. He then explained the various options for a hearing aid and I agreed to go ahead and purchase one. I've now been back to him. a couple of times to have the hearing aids tweaked to ensure that my hearing continues to be at its best. Throughout this process Ian has been brilliant - professional, thorough and helpful but always with a smile and a willingness to help me adjust to the new hearing levels. I cannot recommend him highly enough - we've enjoyed some laughs and I can now hear so much better. Many thanks, Mort Smith

I recently had a hearing test with Ian at Wardale Williams, Sudbury. The tests were extensive and covered sound and speech. Throughout Ian was so clear and patient, explaining each step.
At the fitting Ian explained everything so clearly and gave me lots of time to try everything myself. This gave me tons of confidence to use the hearing aids.
And what a difference they have made! I'm not straining to hear when using my mobile, the voice is so clear. It's much easier to take part in book group when everyone is chatting. I feel years younger!

I certainly learnt a great deal about my hearing. The follow up appointment was also conducted in a friendly, caring and patient manner. First class service.

Visited for Ear wax removal. Ian was very helpful. I was shown exactly what the problem was, using a camera. Ian explained what he was doing at all times and gave good advice, he was very patient and my very stubborn earwax was removed effectively after several visits.

Ian gave me a detailed explanation about my hearing test and the treatment given, along with some excellent advice.
