My hearing assessment by Aphra took nearly 90 minutes . She was very professional and thorough and took the time to discuss and explain the process. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Hearing Care Partnership.

I really recommend coming here with any hearing issues. My mom has suffered with hearing and sinus issues for 3 months, we’ve been to the GP and A&E multiple times but never got anywhere. Ms Aphra at The Hearing Care Partnership was amazing at carefully explaining everything to us, making sure we understood and checking my mom’s hearing. She provided better solutions than anywhere else we went and even wrote a recommendation letter for the GP for further treatment.

Aphra has looked after my elderly mother with such care, kindness and professionalism. The hearing aids provided are excellent and we received clear information as to how to care for them. If we have any questions about their care Aphra is there to offer advice. Thank you Aphra.

I recently had a ear wax removal appointment with Aphra. The consultation was very friendly and extremely thorough.
As well as carrying out the ear wax removal very efficiently, Aphra noticed an issue in my right ear. She then took the time to write to my Doctor suggesting a referral to the ear, throat and nose clinic and provided supporting pictures also.
All in all, I couldn't recommend the Hearing Care Partnership more highly!

Alpha Baker was superb. Professional, confident, knowledgeable; put me at my ease, friendly, smart, easy to talk to, listened carefully to all I said. Diagnosed and sorted my problem and referred on to appropriate agencies for treatment. Would recommend her without any hesitation. And all for free!

Aphra Baker is an extremely competent, thorough and knowledgeable practitioner who went the extra mile to ensure my hearing aids have been set up to enhance my hearing experience to the full. She is delightful to work with and if she doesn't know the answer she will find it for you. I have been extremely pleased with the service I received which has been given with a genuine feel of care and support.

The world is audibly so clear and natural around me now and I hear things I had forgotten were there. I highly recommend the service here because I simply cannot think of a single thing to criticise.

I have struggled with my hearing for many years but never really wanted to admit it and I certainly didn’t want to have to wear hearing aids! However, realising that I really was missing out on conversations and exhausting myself through my efforts to try to keep up, I plucked up the courage to go and have my hearing tested. It certainly was the right decision!
Aphra, my audiologist was amazing. Her warm, calm and reassuring manner along with a gentle sense of humour made what I was expecting to be a real ordeal into a manageable and very positive experience.

I admit that it wasn’t good to learn that my hearing loss was moderate to severe in both ears! However, after having had the reasons why this was the case explained to me, and then being informed about the range of hearing aid options that were open to me, I felt totally reassured.

I only had to wait for one week for my ‘new ears’ as I call them and the difference they have made to me is unbelievable! All my fears of suddenly being bombarded and overwhelmed by sound/noise were totally unfounded because the hearing aids are set to a manageable and comfortable level right from the start and then increased slowly over time until the correct prescription level is reached.

I have taken time out to write this review for two reasons. Firstly because Aphra, the audiologist, deserves to be recognised for her professionalism, competence and totally client centred approach and aftercare but secondly because I want to encourage anyone living in Wolverhampton who is struggling with their hearing in the same way that I was, to go into the Hearing Care Partnership in Compton. To be able to hear again has improved my life so much, it could do the same for you.

I had my appointment today, March 9th, with Aphra at Taylor Biddle Opticians, Compton, Wolverhampton. Her calm and pleasant manner put me at my ease immediately. She had already rung me up prior to our meeting, had read my previous notes from last August, 2021, and answered most of the questions that I had. I felt reassured and much more positive about the prospect of wearing aids. She explained the tests we did, and discussed the results. Throughout the appointment she maintained her professional and caring approach, and was able to help me choose the appropriate aids for my type of hearing loss.
As a retired natural therapist myself over thirty years, I really appreciated her professionalism and sensitivity. As a result , I am pleased to report that not only am I no longer anxious and resistant to wearing hearing aids, I am actually looking forward with enthusiasm to my fitting. Thank-you, Aphra

Was welcomed by an extremely pleasant young lady, Haleema.Who discussed my problem with me and explained what would occur during the examination. She explained and demonstrated with charts and photographs exactly what should happen and what was happening to me. I felt extremely comfortable and happy throughout the entire time. Having tried some aids was amazed at how clear everything became. Collect mine in time for Christmas.

We found Helen Barton to be very friendly and helpful in resolving my wife's hearing aid problem and tuning the aids to suite her needs. Helen was very patient and understanding of an elderly lady and had a good technical knowledge of all audio problems. We are in good hands for our future care.

Booked a hearing assessment for my mum, as family had some concerns. Mum was understandingly anxious but I needn’t have worried. Helen was completely professional and very understanding. She put my mum at ease the moment we entered the room which was very much appreciated by both me and mum. One of the best things about Helens service was that she didn’t patronise my mum and treated her with respect which I know isn’t always the case in other hearing clinics. I couldn’t recommend Helen enough as she took the time to explain anything that my mum needed clarifying, was very thorough in explaining how the assessment would be conducted and if any further treatment would be required. If you need a hearing assessment I wouldn’t hesitate to book again with Helen.

This was my first visit ever to a Hearing Care Partnership in the Wolverhampton area.
Helen who took care of me explained in depth what was going to happen as far as the hearing test was concerned. Helen took care to listen and answered all of my probing questions. I would certainly recommend the Hearing Care Partnership in Compton Wolverhampton .
