Tried app

Tried app, not compatible even after trying suggested fixes. What a waste.

I’m really sorry to hear that your phone isn’t compatible with our app yet.

TestCard is a regulated medical device which relies on the phone camera to provide an accurate result. Because most phone models have different camera types, we need to test them all individually before they can become approved - this process can take some time, but we have a dedicated App team who are working hard to release as many new phone models as possible.

In the meantime, here is our full compatibility list: https://www.testcard.com/supported-devices - if you have access to any of these devices, you'll still be able to take the test. Otherwise, I'd recommend that you contact the retailer you purchased from, and they will be able to look into a full refund for you. As I don't have access to third party systems, we won't be able to process that.

I can keep you notified when our app updates with your device, if you would like this, please contact support@testcard.com and I will add your email to our database.

App isn't compatible with many devices

App isn't compatible with many devices. I didnt realise using the app was the only way to read the test- they won't even tell you how to do it manually which should be possible given it's simple colour comparison that the app is doing.
Total waste of money on a test I can't even use because they gatekeep the results

Absolutely does not work

Absolutely does not work. The phone camera does not work that up close so both tests didn’t work it wasn’t able to read it. Pretty much a scam.

waste of money. dont buy

not even worth 1 star waste of money would not accept my phone number or 2 others i tried attempted to do manually no way it will line up complete waste of money !!!

Terrible app

Terrible app. Only supported by pixel phones more than 3 years old. New phones not supported. Stay away if you have a new phone. Feels like a scam to be honest

If I could rate 0 I would. Spent £12.99 on 2 tests and neither of them worked. I drove a 24 mile round trip to get these on New Years Day - I deserve to be refunded

Needs a special mobile phone

I opened the packet to get instructions, only to find there are none. On the back of the packet it says download their app, but when I tried I got a message saying my phone is not supported. Tried with my boyfriend's phone which is a different model - same result. Both our phones are Samsung and fairly modern. Now cannot use this and cannot return it.

Testcard for uti purchased

Testcard for uti purchased. My phone is a Samsung galaxy s21. Tried to get the app but said my phone was incompatible, although their website said it was.

Thank you for submitting a Supported Devices Enquiry.
I can confirm that we are currently fully compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S21. You should be able to download the app and take your test as instructed.
You can find the app using the link for your device below:
Android - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.testcard.android.selftest.prod
If you are based in the UK, but have your Apple App Store or Google Play Store set to a non-UK country, you will have to revert to a UK App/Google Play Store before you will be able to download and use the TestCard App. If you need any assistance with this please let me know.

Rubbish

Rubbish. Impossible to scan test strip. Strip won't line up in test window so continually times out! Don't waste your money on this test kit.

Absolute joke

Absolute joke. Ordered a test kit online off superdrug only to find they provide an app you HAVE to use which only works on certain phones.

Yeah, read the terms and conditions yada yada yada... why would I think that was ever going to be a thing.

Product to be binned sadly

I have tried my phone, my son's phone, my daughter's phone and my tablet and sadly all this product is now fit for is my bin. The product should have a list of phone's compatible on the packaging surely?!

No job security

TestCard is a typical start up company who doesn't have a clue what direction they are going in. Very good at making people redundant, if you want job security this is not the company for you.
