Worst Quality and NO CSR Buy Welly Instead

Reached out to CSR re Failed lid, Failed Coating of the $60 thermos CUP. Got a lot of run around and ridiculous advice which I wasted more money and time following - they said to soak the Lid that turned white from clear in VINEGAR! (compared to Welly brand where I also bought a 3 of thermoses - Welly csr is great and they fixed the issue immediately by replacing the item; so I bought more from them). Tervis I will never buy again! So based on tervis advice I paid for vinegar and spent my time soaking the lid for days - NO change! Their products are SUBPAR quality and no vinegar or run around will change that. I also pointed to failed outer. and Lack of thermal integrity.. WHat I got back was more customer axxuse and page of verbiage that says they do not warranty nothing! and their sxxxxy products are NOT their problem. Its like word vomit- what they sent me is NOT even applicable to the problem of NO thermos integrity, failed side and failed lid! its just BS: thank you for your email. Lids and other accessories are not covered under our Guarantees. If you would like to purchase a new lid, please follow this link:


There are two versions of stainless drinkware, our discontinued Legacy tumblers made by the previous company, and our current Tervis Traveler. The discontinued Legacy Stainless Tumbler has the Tervis logo in all lower case letters. The Tervis Traveler has the Tervis logo in all capital letters. If you have a Legacy stainless steel tumbler, these tumblers are not dishwasher safe, as indicated on our Use and Care page linked at the bottom of our website. Legacy stainless tumblers are no longer covered under the Guarantee, but when they were, they were covered for thermal performance only. Normal wear and tear including fading, dents, chips and scratches, including peeling, chipping or fading of printed designs was not covered.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

They have a horrible customer service it takes forever to geta a refund for a product you returned and on that was never received. I have been mailing them, and it generally take 5 days or so for them to get back to you.
You can wait forever. Its sad the only way you can contact them is the through email.

THE WORST ONLINE RETAIL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE

I placed an order on the 22nd of January. BE WARNED! Somewhere in the check out it says no cancellations or changes to orders...I did not see this. Once the order was placed they estimated it would be delivered on the 5th of February which was too late as I was buying them as gifts. I sent an email within 2 minutes of the order. It is now the 30th of January and I just received the rudest email from them, basically stating it says in checkout no changes or cancellations. I would NOT buy from this AMERICAN MADE company ever again unless you are 100% sure about what you are buying. I can't imagine trying to return something damaged? THE TIME AND STRESS IS NOT WORTH IT! I would give them a zero star if I could.

No customer service, website not completing orders

No customer service. Don't respond to emails about issues with orders or ordering. Website cannot process payments of any kind. Used to be a decent and reliable company but not any longer. Had one order go through only to receive notice I had to confirm customized imprint. Website to do so never loads. If not confirmed within 48 hrs they cancel the order. Can't get a response to any emails regarding the issue.

Order not fulfilled

I have not received an order from early December and can get no customer service from Tervis Tumblers. They are not taking phone calls and do not respond to emails.
Buyer beware!

Zero Stars Preferred

I sent back a classic plastic tumbler because it was fogged and needed replacement. Had done this in the past with same issue and had no problem. I also sent back a metal tumbler that had the design peeling off in less than a month of purchase. Did the return through their website and shipped off. 2 weeks later they are both returned to me with no note, nothing. I contacted Customer Service and they told me they weren't covered. When I pushed as to why they said "normal wear and tear". Last Tervis I purchase. Ever.

Staining tervis mugs

I've got about 6-8 tervis mugs and tumblers, and I've had them for about 15 years and they are great but the new ones are terrible. One of my old mugs separated so I sent it back and they sent a new one it's terrible, I think they have changed the plastic material that they are made of. After about 3 cups of coffee in this mug it started getting a cloudy look to it contacted tervis about it they said basically it was normal, I know better been drinking coffee out of the on I returned with no issues like that (the old one separated) after several emails to them they finally said I could return for a replacement (at this time I was in about $24 for shipping from my original mug I returned and now the new one). So I get the new one 2 times using for coffee it started getting cloudy so I stopped using it for coffee and started using it for tea but even the tea discolored it, my mug now has a yellow tint to it after the first time using for tea. I will never purchase another tervis product.

Love My Tervis

I will begin by saying we use our 16oz Tervis Tumbler every day for maybe the past 13 - 14 years...They began to get cloudy, so I returned them. In less than 2 weeks the replacements arrived, I could not be more pleased

Is there a gas leak at Tervis

Is there a gas leak at Tervis? I made an order 12/3 for a Christmas present, well within the delivery window Tervis provided, but even paid extra for expedited shipping just to be safe. Two weeks went by, and they hadn't even started processing the order. I had to chase them down over email for days just to get some sort of update, which of course I never got. If customer service did respond, it was either coldly dismissive or hilariously incompetent, frequently providing inaccurate information and saying the order would ship out any day now. The day before Christmas Eve, big surprise! They had a manufacturing issue and never made the order. I then spent the following month having to chase them down for any updates about my refund. In 2018, I made a similar order and had absolutely no issues, a great experience. This was a total 180. I wish I had googled them before ordering again; then I would have learned about Tervis's recent bankruptcy and apparent implosion. Whatever is going on over there is not worth dealing with - private equity claims another victim and Tervis is effectively a dead company, barely limping along. Skip them and shop somewhere that will actually process your order after taking your money. And if they ignore your refund request, talk to your bank and they will help. Bye bye Tervis, will miss you!

Stop yourself from buying from this company. There’s way better options.

I should have stopped myself from placing the order after spending over a full week on their website that kept freezing. All I was trying to order was simple monogrammed cups as a gift. One person finally did get back to me that knew how to avoid the “freezing” template by working kind of backwards.
My order was finally completed on 12/2 and was given a delivery date of 12/20 - 12/23.
I received an email from the company on 12/24 telling me that my order will not be made or delivered on time. They offered a discount on a future purchase to make things better. No thanks, and I really appreciate that you told me 1 day after the delivery was expected, and on Christmas Eve. There goes that gift.
Within the same hour of receiving this email notification, I wrote back and asked what the new delivery date was. I expressed my disappointment in their late notice on Christmas Eve, and requested that a discount be applied retroactively, or to at least not make me pay for shipping.
I immediately received an auto response telling me their office is closed on 12/24 - 1/6.
I don’t understand how a company would treat their customers like this.
When they finally wrote back to me, I was told there was nothing they could do and still didn’t give me a delivery date.
The order surprisingly showed up 15 days late.

If this had not been a gift specificity asked for, I would have called my credit card company to stop the transaction immediately and returned them if/when they showed up.

This is a warning to NOT buy from Tervis. Spend your money somewhere else, with people and companies that actually care.

Tervis Tumbler Poor Quality

I ordered a Tervis tumbler from Fanatics and it arrived damaged and looks terrible. It has a patch of rust on the side (the tumbler says 2022 so not sure if it's just old and that's why??), the plastic is bubbled to the point where it looks like you're meant to pull the plastic off the tumbler. When they printed the Lions logo the printer must have been low on ink as the blue in the Lion is streaky, and there is some scratches in the white part of the cup. I've had a terrible experience trying to get a new tumbler and after reading comments on the Tervis facebook page it looks like a lot of other people are having major issues in getting their orders and customer service is closed until 2 January.

Poor customer service

I wanted a customized tumbler, but first you must create an account, so I did. They even sent a welcome email. I tried to sign in but it told me something was wrong. I'm sure I got the password right, but I tried the Forgot Password link. That was three days ago and still no response. I tried again yesterday and still nothing. I wrote to Contact Us and no response.

Terrible company and customer service

I ordered 4 coffee tumblers on Dec. 14,2023 and was supposed to get free shipping and deliver by Christmas. I actually paid $10 for faster shipping so that I would get my items by Dec. 19/Dec. 20. By the 22nd, I called their customer service and they said they forgot to ship it, but that they would put expedited shipping so that I would get it by that night or the next day (the 23rd). Well, I received my package on Dec. 26th. After I called them about this issue on Dec. 26, they offered to reimburse my $10 shipping to rectify it. How do you rectify something that can't be rectified, which is the actually on-time delivery? Of course, they should at least reimburse me for my $10 for shipping that never happened timely as a start and then offer some discount for my purchase. Besides just being incompetent, they just don't care AT ALL. By the way, I still haven't received my $10 reimbursement. They deserve a zero rating.

Horrible

Horrible, dishonest company and customer service! Do NOT buy Tervis products! I purchased a tumbler for my son, the lid wont stay in so it leaks. I contacted customer servia via chat and told them the issue and was asked the purchase date. The gentleman said this was covered under the warranty and told me to send the cup in. I paid $12 to send the cup in and then an a dishonest employee said no one would ever tell me to send the cup in and the lid issue isnt covered under warranty. I would not have done any of this otherwise. They now have my cup and lid, i paid $12 to send it, they refuse to honor their warranty and Cindy is saying untrue things.

Great product and timely shipping

Ordered a photo tumbler (with numerous photos) from Tervis on 11/30/20. They shipped it on 12/16/20 vis USPS First Class and I received it on 12/23 -- in time for Christmas. The tumbler turned out great! Love it!
