I have a very pretty bathroom
I thought long and hard about how many stars to give, but given that Tap Co didn't supply me with the basics of a bathroom, I had to give one star as I couldn't award zero. I will say that I have increasingly messaged and emailed George about these problems since before Christmas but he isn't interested.
I have a very pretty bathroom. It cost well in excess of £10,000. Unfortunately I am not able to take a shower as the water comes through cold. This has been a problem since the word go, and it was initially incorrectly installed and was adjusted. So I'm told by George that it must be a problem with a part? So this company don't actually test after installing? Weird. I call it passing the buck.
Oh, my loo works now. Months of asking for someone to please sort it out. I didn't work from installation. Shocking,
As for the decoration, which this plumbing firm those to take up, it is absolutely shocking. Also - cracking all around the tops of the skirtings. So allegedly, this could be due to water. There has been very little water on the floor, just the normal amount in getting in and out of the bath, The skirtings are sealed to the floor all the way around. This is probably due to the fact that George's decorator decided to heavily paint all the skirtings in the wrong colour, and then chucked (tech word) a poor coat of white over the top. Several layers of paint.

As this project was completed as part of an insurance claim, we worked carefully to restore your bathroom in line with the agreed scope of works. At the point of completion, you confirmed that you were happy with the finished result, and we were pleased to hand the bathroom back to you in good working order.
Regarding the shower temperature, we thoroughly tested the installation during and after fitting and were unable to identify any installation fault. As previously discussed, the shower unit itself was customer-supplied, and based on our assessments, an issue appears to relate to a potential manufacturer component fault rather than the installation. In such cases, the appropriate course of action would be to contact the manufacturer directly under their product warranty.
We also returned to the property on several occasions to address snagging items, including the toilet, to ensure everything was functioning correctly. These revisits were carried out in good faith and with the aim of ensuring your satisfaction.
With respect to the decoration, the paintwork was signed off as satisfactory at completion. While minor chips or scuffs can unfortunately occur over time through general use, particularly months after handover, these would not typically be considered installation defects. That said, we have always tried to be helpful where possible.
We are sorry that you feel let down and regret that this experience has led to a negative review. We do, however, stand by the quality of our workmanship and the steps taken to address concerns during and immediately following the project.
