I have been using this premium, expensive and paid service for a little over two weeks now and my dissatisfaction, disappointment and frustration is continuing to increase. I did try to patiently adapt and manage my expectations in the first week or so and carefully navigate the system and accept some ‘teething problems’, however at this stage I have come to accept that the system / software / platform is just not firmly established for purpose, and far removed from the sleek, glossy polished advertised interactions that lured you in. The language learning experience needs to be encouraging, intuitive, patient and responsive to each individual learner. However this in its current form only exasperates, frustrates and disappoints. The current voice-text-speak system can be sometimes forgiven for having glitches, but this system takes the learning experience to a whole new frustrating depth. A choice between only five live one-to-one hour sessions with a live qualified tutor, or a whole year of unlimited time on this program, at this stage it is very easy to conclude the best value for knowledge, learning experience and peace of mind lies with the live tutor. Money not well spent.

I am so glad I found this. I struggled trying to find an app for intermediate conversation practice. This is fantastic and gives great feedback, corrections and suggestions to improve what you are trying to say. It feels very natural and is straightforward to use. You can create vocab lists and generate flashcards too! It is probably not for beginners with no prior learning but once you have some basic vocabulary head on over and try this and your conversational skills will improve in leaps and bounds! Love it!

This is not a system designed to teach a language from scratch, but you would be forgiven for thinking so due to the advertising. If you are just starting to learn a language, I would not recommend Talkio.ai. However, if you have a basic understanding of the language, including reading, writing, and speaking it, then this seems a good choice to practice and learn more.

Llevo varias semanas usando Talkio y la verdad es que me ha sorprendido muy positivamente. Trabajo desde casa y muchas veces me faltan oportunidades para practicar inglés hablado, pero con Talkio puedo tener conversaciones reales, recibir correcciones y mejorar mi pronunciación de forma natural. Me encanta que la app también te dé feedback sobre tu fluidez y estructura de frases. Además, la voz de la asistente suena muy natural y agradable. Es una herramienta muy útil para quienes ya tenemos cierto nivel, pero necesitamos ganar soltura al hablar. ¡Muy recomendable!

I'm using Talkio to practice Spanish. My vocabulary is pretty good, but I find it very hard to speak and understand, so it is great to have a patient conversational partner to practice with.

I'm really happy to have found this product. I just started using it to improve my Russian speaking skills. This is so far the only gptchat that supports this language.

I enjoy the interface for its simplicity - no room to get lost. It is missing, however, methodology and gamification to keep you motivated and working towards a goal. But overall, it's helping me pinpoint my mistakes in syntax, vocabulary, and pronunciation.

PS: A native mobile app would also improve the user experience. For example, the voice-to-text functionality is still buggy on mobile.
