I highly recommend the NOCN EWPA Level 3 NVQ Diploma in External Wall Insulation Boarder and Finisher as a valuable qualification for experienced professionals working in the retrofit sector. Developed to address the longstanding gap in formal recognition for EWI installers, this course offers a robust and credible pathway to demonstrate competency aligned with PAS 2035 standards.
The qualification is well-structured, combining a comprehensive knowledge-based component with a practical, competency-based assessment. While the knowledge element can initially feel overwhelming, the support provided by the assessor was responsive and constructive throughout. The practical assessment was delivered and managed with clear guidance, appropriate resources, and a fair evaluation process using direct observation and digital evidence.
Although some administrative aspects could benefit from refinementâsuch as a clearer onboarding process, simpler documentation and more immediate feedback post-assessmentâthe overall experience was positive and professionally rewarding.
