This company is a scam

I purchased the Sunbeam Horizon F1 Cardinal phone and within days of use, the phone started shutting down and refusing to power on - often requiring me to remove the battery and re-seat it to be able to power it back on. I was not receiving calls or even missed call notifications. I kept receiving pop-ups saying "Setting up visual voicemail". I contacted sunbeam support within the 30 day refund window who said they could send a replacement battery. I refused and asked for a refund. They honored the return and sent a partial refund (I'm out 30 dollars). My brother purchased the same phone and experienced the same exact issues but opted for the RMA and the replacement phone is having the same issues. We have had multiple batteries and multiple carriers. These phones are defective. He is now attempting to get a refund and return the replacement device, but they will not honor the refund. This company is shady and their customer support is horrible. Don't get scammed by this company

expensive phone, miserable customer service

I bought two Sunbeam Wireless phones for $195, the most expensive flip phones on the market. One died after 2 years; the other died after 3 years. Sunbeam provides ZERO customer support. The greedy glassbowls just want to upsell you on their new, more expensive model. They don't even offer you an allowance to trade in your old phone. And their supervisors--if you can get one--are equally unhelpful.

They "offer" premium services

They "offer" premium services, specifically speech-to-text which is really handy in the car. Its an automated line that you call into that takes your money (setting up a monthly subscription) and then they never deliver the actual service. There is nobody in customer service that can help you, and the "support line" you call to turn these features on and off, simply doesn't work. The only recourse you have is to go to your bank and cancel your card to get them to stop billing you.

Wanted to love this company, but after seeing them continue to steal our money for several months and not offer any support, I absolutely have to give them 1 star. Steer clear of this company and choose to work with a company that doesn't steal your money and actually provides support on their devices.

Super phone And Super customer service.

I have this phone already for over A year. It works amazing. One Time I have a problem, and they send me a new phone for no charge. Super customer service. I appreciate the updates and new features every few mounts with new improvements and new Apps Etc. "it's super phone".

It's got good privacy, and it's sturdy, but it's disappointing

The phone sends and receives calls and text messages. It is of sturdy construction and will survive a reasonable drop on a hard surface.

My "5" key often doesn't work unless I press it several times. Same with the dedicated Text key. The phone only has a 1-year warranty, so I am stuck with this.

The charger went bad in less than a year. Customer service was unsympathetic.

The user interface is lacking and counterintuitive in several ways. For example, if you turn on navigation to a specific destination by mistake, you cannot turn it off, and it continues to consume power until you power down the phone. It is also difficult to save a destination as a favorite.

Another example: The Sound Recorder works OK, but there is no way to export the audio files successfully. The folder is invisible when the phone is connected to a laptop, and bluetooth transfer to a laptop fails.

There are occasional updates, but I have seen no improvement in usability.

Poor customer service, probably great product

This company really appealed to me because it seemed to have an excellent mission and to create an excellent product. While the product didn't end up being right for me, I do think it was of a high quality.

My gripe with Sunbeam is their customer service. When I wrote to get some help with a technical issues I was having, the responses were one sentence at best, were not interested in my problem or troubleshooting ways to fix it, and to be honest, didn't seem professional at all. The language used was very casual, there were no signature lines or even a greeting. It made such an impression on me and I felt that Sunbeam doesn't really care about their customers or outsources their customer service to a very unprofessional company. Either way, it prevented me from getting help with my technical issues and I returned the phone.
