I rented the Strideon, after ankle surgery, and it was a complete game changer. I had previously (in 2012), been loaned something similar by a hospital, so knew it existed. The staff were fantastic, over the phone and email, and could not have been more helpful, especially when it came to extending my rental.
Being able to maintain my independence during a difficult period, also helped my mental health. Going outside, shopping locally, or even further afield if someone drove me there. Light and easy to assemble. Wow and a huge thank you to the whole team

This company and their StrideOn product are both first-rate. I rented one after ankle fusion surgery and found it superior to both crutches and an iWalk (as the latter requires you to have excellent balance). It's easy to assemble and advice about doing so can be obtained by phone/email if any problems are encountered. A big advantage is that it can leave you with at least one hand free. So I was, for example, able to cook in the kitchen and shop locally unassisted because of this. Almost needless to say, the staff I have spoken to have all been friendly and solicitous. And so when the time comes to return the scooter, I'm actually going to miss it. Many thanks to whoever designed this product. You are making a real difference to people's lives.

Excellent to be dealing with a firm who have knowledgeable people available to deal with any questions. Arrangement of delivery and pick up of equipment was seamless. Strideon scooter was great and made the frustrations of ankle surgery that bit more bearable.

I would have been lost without my scooter following surgery for an ankle fracture. I was able to be more independent at home and to get out and about with confidence. I had so many positive comments when I was out and looks of envy at fracture clinic! The service provided by Strideon was flawless including delivery and collection. Excellent service from start to finish, delivered promptly, worked as advertised, and collected with no fuss. I hired the knee scooter for a month originally but had to extend twice, first by another month and then by a week, just sent an email and they did the rest. The scooter itself is a great bit of kit, got me out and about when otherwise I would have been confined to the house.

Cannot recommend this company enough. From first point of contact and throughout the whole process I received excellent service from the whole team and they were so helpful. I was nwb for 6 weeks and hired 2 knee scooters, one for upstairs and one for downstairs for the whole period. They were an absolute godsend and gave me so much independence and confidence to move around. Loved them!

With out the stride on My wife would have been hopping around the apartment.

I rented the Knee Walker from StrideOn. The scooter itself was of very high quality (very sturdy and safe), and the Stride On team were very responsive at every step - easily arranging rental extensions or the pick-up once we finish the rental.

I fractured my fibula on the second day of our holiday. This was very distressing as I could not weight bear at the beginning. I phoned Stride-On as I have used this company for past joint problems. I was delighted and relieved to hear that this wonderful family run business was still operating. Louise the company representative was so helpful in organising for the walker to be delivered to Stackpole, Pembrokeshire the next day. I could not believe that this was possible and thought I would have to wait until I got home from holiday.
What excellent customer service this incredible company offers. My walker duly arrived the following day and was a great help in the early days in helping me move about with minimal pain.

Thank you and I would recommend using this company for others experiencing lower limb problems. It is rare these days to come across such a caring, helpful and professional company. In situations like mine, you want to be able to speak with a human as often you are in pain and distress. Stride-On was wonderfully understanding whilst instilling confidence that they would deliver the walker when they said they would. I am so lucky to have found this company after I broke my ankle. I hired the Stride-On for 4 weeks and the service was excellent: delivery right on time, well-packaged with good instructions. I couldn't put any weight at all on my injured foot and found hopping on crutches too painful on my other good leg (due to mild arthritis). This meant I couldn't get out and couldn't even get about in my own house. The Stride-on allowed me to get to the toilet on my own, go to the kitchen and make myself a drink or meal (I carried items in the basket that came with the Stride-on plus I bought the cup holder to hold my lidded drinks). It allowed me to get around the supermarkets and get out and about which helped me stay mobile on my good leg without any stress on it. At the end of the hire time, it was easy to pack up the Stride-on with the instructions given and it was collected on time. Highly recommend hiring one of these for anyone with a fracture or sprain that can't weight-bare.

I never even new these scooters existed until the day of my ankle reconstruction surgery. Upon admission, a physio came to my room to explain how to use my crutches I'd need as I would be non-weight bearing for 6 weeks. He then showed the leaflet about the stride on and also brought one for me to try. I hired one for 6weeks and it arrived the next day . It was brilliant for around the house, helped me make food for myself and give me a little more confidence. I never used it outside, but I'm sure it would have been just as good. I would definitely recommend hiring one. The customer service was excellent, very friendly and helpful.

I was so happy with the service from StrideOn. I rang after 3pm yet the kind person managed to get the order placed, and shipped that day for next day delivery. The unit was packed well, was easy to assemble, disassemble and repackage, with the UPS label already printed ready. The unit itself was a godsent, enabling me to get around the downstairs while not confident on crutches. The basket was so helpful that I could carry bits and pieces from the fridge to the table. It gave me the mobility and freedom to regain my independence, taking the strain off my wife, that she could go to work not worrying about me.

I hired my stride on scooter for 4 weeks whilst recovering from a foot operation. It gave me back my independence making everyday tasks possible. It allowed me to get out and about.
Crutches felt unstable and were extremely hard work and restricted me from so much.
The company was so helpful, answering all my concerns before committing to hiring.
Delivery and return was straightforward.
I would highly recommend the use of a stride on scooter to anyone who has a non weight bearing injury. It also meant that I was using the upper part of my leg, which kept it strong, which made walking again easier.

The Stride On and the Orthomate are great devices for anyone who is non-weight bearing or in early recovery stages. My wife struggles with crutch and would have had very limited mobility but the Strideon changed everything. Not only could she scoot around the house (the turning circle is truly incredible), you can stop and be supported and use your hand (impossible on crutcher). The Orthomate meant we could go out and do things despite her being non-weight bearing for 6 weeks and extremely limited for several weeks after that. It without doubt help her stay active and a lot fitter than she would otherwise have been as well as the mental well being of getting around and about. And while the basket may seem a bit of an add-on, it was indispensable to give a degree of independence.
The staff were great when we wanted to extend the loan at short notice and always helpful. We kept the devices for 10 weeks. In short, it made the whole post-operation experience many times more bearable. If we ever have a similar issue (and I hope not), the Strideon would be on our priority list.

One suggestion - order it before you need it to ensure you have it ready and waiting - delivery is quick, but we definitely wished it was at home waiting ready for arrival from hospital after the operation.

Why do you use crutches when a Stride On Trolley makes things so much easier , especially around the house?
Can't believe that I watch people struggling to non weight bear with crutches when they could use one of these scooters.

We have been blown-away impressed with every aspect of StrideOn. We found them after searching for mobility solutions after my husband suffered a serious injury to his foot and was placed a cast for several weeks. The ordering process was so simple, delivery super-quick and the knee-scooter was a complete life-saver for my husband to maintain mobility and independence. The little basket meant he could take things from room to room, it was perfect and made a really difficult time SO much better. Return in provided packaging was quick and easy. The cost for this equipment was really reasonable and affordable at a time when our income was impacted by his accident. Great company to deal with. We shared details with the NHS fracture team and occupational health, as we so want others in his position to have the same opportunity to have the same experience.

Broke my leg and had my daughters wedding and a family holiday coming up. Found this company on line as didn't feel crutches would make me mobile enough. Hired a knee scooter and so glad I did. Gave me my mobility back and alot of independence. I cannot recommend stride on enough ,from ordering to being delivered and returning the product . Stride on delivered a first class experience.

A very friendly & knowledgeable firm who were able to provide me with the right equipment at the right time after breaking my foot. The knee scooter which I rented allowed me to get around my flat without putting any weight on affected foot. As the NHS crutches were causing pain to my hands & wrists the scooter was invaluable to my recovery. It arrived next day after ordering & was picked up promptly 5 weeks later. I'd highly recommend Strideon for anyone on my situation.
