Awful company to deal with, Shocking customer service
Awful company to deal with, and complete liars. Paid to have our garden turfed in September 2024 when we purchased the house. We was told to stay off the garden for 6 months which we did. In spring 2025 we mowed the garden for the first time and what we found was not the best. There was roof tiles sticking out of the ground, sections of scaffolding poles and a ridiculous amount of rocks. We instantly starting noticing issues when it rained as one side of the garden slopes. Move forward to summer and apparently these issues were caused due to the warm weather and I need to learn how to maintain a garden. Customer service said they would do an inspection in 3 months time as the ground was too hard to dig down at the time. At this point the whole garden was dead even after me watering the garden, re seeding, aerating etc etc. Fast forward to march 2026 and I was told an area manager was coming out to investigate the damaged garden, I was at work and watched this so called inspection through my garden camera. No inspection at all, just walked around the garden filming it and chatting to his mate. As he walks off he says it’s a pretty shaded garden this ain’t it. No mate it’s a sound facing garden and we get sunshine on the garden most the day. Received an email saying complaint is over and further action will be taken and if I wish I should report to warranty provider.
This may seem like a small issue to them but for us we wanted a bigger house and a bigger garden for a children.
There is a whole list of issues we have had with strata but I’d be here all day mentioning them.

We have just collected our keys for our Oporto on the Desire site in Leeds. I could not speak highly enough of Betty! Betty exceeded our expectations from start to finish! After viewing different new build sites, we can confidently say Betty was the main reason we chose Strata. We particularly liked her calm approach rather than pushy sales people which can be off putting when chosing your dream home! Her customer service, patience and kind nature was second to none and she is an incredible asset to Strata. I'm a very picky person and she made sure every box was ticked and any concerns were taken and resolved. Hoping the aftercare matches our experience with Betty🤞🏻thanks again!

The engineer from Strata addressed the snagging list for my property today. Most items were resolved, though a couple of them require follow-up action. Dave Innes demonstrated great professionalism in managing the process. Much appreciated, Dave.
Strata After Care
As part of the aftercare Strata provides, Simon came around today to do a 6 month inspection of the house, to look for any issues that needed sorting.
Simon was so friendly and fantastic at his work. Nothing was too much trouble and his walk around was thorough and detailed, even picking up on issues that we had missed and never pointed out! Really fantastic service!

FROM ONE ISSUE TO ANOTHER WATER LEAKEAGE
Since we moved in to Strata, its been one issue to another issue, I can overlook little issues as I wasn't even expecting it to be perfect, but issues like movement constraint and water leaks are highly unaccepted. The most recent issue issue, there was a water leak on the ceiling of the guest toilet, the engineer came to look at it and said he cant find any leaking, and also lied that I told him I poured a bucket of water on the floor. I have sent over 5 emails back and forth with their customer service and all they keep saying is that because there is no leak there is nothing that can be done, Last night I had my bath there again, and there was water on the ceiling again same place. and you are telling me there is nothing that can be done, so are you saying I bought anew house and I can not use my bathroom, this is ridiculous. Please, does anyone know any authority, firm or bodies I can report this to. the other time to they had to cut my window so i can pass my furniture through as there was very minimal movement allowance on the stairs.

Jeff couldn't have been better - came to do my 6 month settlement assessment, found all the little bits (some I'd missed myself), and took care of them no trouble. Efficient, great work, and genuinely brightened my day. Much appreciated.

Reserving our first home!!
Reserving our first home has been one of the most exciting and life-changing experiences for us, and Lorna has been an incredible part of that journey. Her support, guidance, and genuine care made the whole process feel so special. We still have a long way to go, but if Strata continues the way they have started, we know we are in very safe hands.

No major difficulties with Desire in Leeds, large size ,well-made houses at an affordable price for the quality and area, communicative customer service (no problems from start to finish) ,we are happy in our new home :-)
