No complaints here

I have read the previous reviews, and cannot agree with a single one. The drivers are polite and helpful, the buses always turn up, maybe a little late sometimes, but with traffic these days, it can’t be helped, and being an older person, we rely so much on Stotts around Holmfirth

Worst experience EVER

So, I honestly did not know where to write this complaint complaint however on the 5th November 2024 at 8.36am I got on the Scott's 383 bus and it was one of the, if not the worse experience of my life. I take lots if buses, I have throughout sixth form, uni etc. I was essentially with my mum who is classed as a vulnerable individual, the was she was treated the amount of racism it was crazy, I don't know how poorly she would have bee treated on top of that if I was there. The lady was absolutely disgusting. Throughout the 10-15 minute journey she was showing alarming signs of road rage and I did not feel safe. She was also spewing inappropriate language.

Drive like they own the road.

So many times around Holmfirth they just plough on through, don't give way, don't signal. Expect you to get out of the way.

Seems they hire cheap rate drivers.

didn't even follow the route

Third complaint to this company - last 2 no response at all.
Today 387 from Ashton due Sheffield road Hyde 14.45.
Never came so I got into my car to see the bus on Mottram road in front of me - had missed an entire section of the route along Sheffield road and Halton street, along which most customers are elderly and frail.

Walk, at least you can depend on yourself to get there.

I'd not give any stars if this site gave the choice. This company is a shoddy outfit, the buses run earlier than the timetable states, often up to 10 minutes , the few times I have managed to get one the driver was rude, even offensive , one told me the last bus to town doesn't go to town , he soon gave in when I showed him the timetable. I started videoing at the times they're due past my house and l have plenty of proof of the early arrival and failures to stop for people ( I live almost next to the stop), I once witnessed an incident where a driver was racially abusive to a customer because he did not know they don't take cards , how could a passenger know that if no sign to say so? The owners never answer the phone because they obviously don't want to hear complaints. I have sent my proof of the poor'service' to WYM.

Dreadful Service

One of the worst bus companies. The buses are falling apart, you often have to squeeze though half a door because the other one takes so long to open. It's like going back to the 90s with how old and dated they feel, especially when all of their competitors have Wi-Fi, USB ports and comfortable seating now.

This morning for the third day this week (it's only Wednesday) I had a bad experience. Monday I missed the bus because it drove past 6 minutes early and didn't bother to even try to make the time up. Tuesday was the same, I did manage to get the bus as I was at the stop early, but the driver clearly was annoyed that he had to stop and muttered something under his breath. Then today, the bus was actually on time for once, I put my hand out and the driver looks right at me and drives on.

How can a company get by when they're not even doing the bare minimum? Can you imagine if other sectors started doing the same to the drivers? Retail workers getting off their till when somebody puts their shopping on, waiters refusing to let you into the restraunt for absolutely no reason. It's mental. Don't train to be a bus driver if you don't want to pick up passengers, nobody forced you to do this.

It's an embarrassment that these fools are being tied into the same category as key workers helping people get to work during the pandemic. When in reality they can't even get themselves where they need to be on time nevermind anyone else. A note to the owners: monitor your drivers more, they're clearly not doing what you think they are, and behaviour like I've experienced will run your company into the ground.
