I was a little put off by the greeting. I arrived a 9:45 am for my appointment. The young women seemed like they just woke up, they were chatting and just seemed unprofessional. Once I got out of my examine, they seemed a little more a lert. The other young man in the back looked like he couldn’t wake up.

Quick service. I was able to walk in, get an eye exam, and walk out with two pairs of glasses the same day.

Took too long a wait despite setting an appointment. The glasses took almost 1 month to be ready.

The staff members who helped me out. They were all very nice, listened to what I wanted, and help me find what I needed within the budget I had. Thank you!

What didn't go wrong is the right question. On the original visit the salesman/marketing man that helped us must have thought we were dumb. Buy 1 get one free or 60% off each, $139 and $169 somehow added up to $931. Thankfully the store manager/director set him straight, he kept dropping till we ended up at $288 with what we needed. Then, sunglasses took 13 days (that was fine with us), we were notified, yesterday, went to pick both pairs up and the regular pair that was ready 10 days ago had been misplaced. The store was very shorthanded, 2 people there were trying their best, I give them credit. Got text and email today other pair was ready, called to verify and couldn't find it, had not arrived. What would you think? Would you shop there again?

Great job! The second pair of glasses wasn't found....but otherwise it ended up being a positive exp!

The staff was so good and just plain friendly. They answered my questions and got my glasses in time for a trip. I have never used them before but would definitely recommend then.

Only received one pair of eye glasses. Aside from that very well pleased.

I liked the selection of frames, information I received about options for lenses, as well as the friendly staff. I did not like that it took 45-minutes to verify my benefits information, and checking out was a challenge since the payment pad was not properly secured to the checkout counter. I would prefer my benefits to be verified prior to my appointment to make it more convenient. I would also like a hassle-free checkout experience.

This company can improve by refunding me my $70 on my eye exams (two!) Don't go here!! Don't fall for their deals, cheap products & wrong eye prognosis (twice!). Went in for READING / computer glasses, I came in to pick up they gave me progressives (with Dr. that meets you on a TV screen). Went back a week later to meet with Dr. in person. Come back in two weeks for pick up. came in glasses were blurry, tried at home for a couple hrs, made me nauseous. Brought back in asking, can I just get my money back? sure, two weeks later no refund. I called asking where is my refund? Oh you need to bring back the lenses. Uhh I asked the girl if you wanted me to do that, she said "NO". Month plus later got my refund minus $70 for exam. I said you're charging me for two exams that you didn't get right? Yep... Thx for your reply to make things right Stanton. To do so, plz refund the $70 Stanton DID reply to me saying sorry, this is not right, what can we do to make it right? I said, refund my $70.. Have not heard back...

Went and got my glasses today 😊, they did an amazing job. Such an awesome place. Friendly and great service.

I went to Stanton om Madison Ave in Fair Oaks with my own frame just to get a plain sunglass lens, no prescription. After filling out the paperwork and paying for this I was told the glasses would be ready in 2 weeks but they always come early. I started checking on the status about the 14th of March, getting a recorded message saying they would be ready on the 20th. That makes it 3 weeks, definitely not early. Today I once again called and I was transferred to a live person in some foreign coumtry. He put me on hold to check on my glasses because there was no info on the computer. When he came back he said they would be ready on the 25th. I asked why and he said that is what he was told and was there anything else he could do for me. I will never use Stanton Optical again. The customer service is very poor.

Should I be truthful and say that it was one of the worst exams I have ever had, or should I water it down.

At 7350 Madison (2024 year):
The Stanton frames/lenses side is good, unfortunately the exam side is not good.
The general shared staff of both sides are friendly and do their jobs good.

I went in to get a small change to my prescription.

The Dr dude he talked randomly about bent trees for about 20 minutes ''before'' then briefly examining my eyes.
Then he said NO change.
Dude was very unprofessional. He barely tried testing any adjustments to my old prescription before saying NO change again. (To simplify the poor experience I had with them, which has happened repeatedly at different visits. The Dr, he refused to be helpful).

Also the lenses in the exam machine were dirty/foggy as always; its the same with the telepresence machine, foggy.

I'm done with "California Physicians Eyecare Group".
(The current eye exam company within many Stanton Optical locations in Sacramento.)
Some of their exam doctors are ok, but many of them do not listen to the customer/patient about eyesight needs.
I had to pay almost $100 dollars for that visit, To end up getting nothing changed in my prescription.

Another sign the country is going down the drain.

Hi I went to Stanton optical to get glasses after a tele video doc checked my vision they told me i didn't qualify for the $79 fr 2 pairs because i needed reading glasses. So the charged me $135 for progressive lenses. They Lied to me! When the progressive lenses came in they were Horrible at best. Couldn't see up close or at a distance. Anmol Bahia was extremely RUDE to me after I wanted a partial refund for the difference. I told her I was lied too and they will lose any future business. Anmol Bahia stated SHE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT MY BUSINEESS!

So they had me see the doc and I again said I want Distance only. The doc said the first prescription was wrong and wrote a new one fr distance only. The $79 pairs. Which are OK now. Anmol Bahia said they won't refund the difference for ridicules reasons. Anmol Bahia was VERY RUDE talking over me. Go somewhere else as they bait and switch and treat you horrible if you have a complaint. There corporate office is a JOKE. RUN THE OTHER WAY!

Update they did finally refund me $56 after seeing my reviews. One set of glasses had the lense pop out the first day. Apparently the tech left the clamping screw loose. The manager was very friendly to me. I have to wonder about the customer service policies. Cheers

2 glassed for $79, oh how I wish wish wish this were true. Just got an amazing deal for one pair, only $210.00 at Stanton Optical there is an explanation for everything, this year the glasses were only a replacement off a prescription that was taken exactly 2 years ago. No work or exam took place this time around, just a replacement pair off the 2 year old exam and ONLY $210, love it. Two years ago, the single pair of glasses going off the similar deal which was one pair for $59, same day. However, two years ago I paid $165 for one pair delivered 2 weeks later. Please choose wisely on where you get your glasses from.
