I had a very good experience at Stanley…
I had a very good experience at Stanley College. My trainer Meetu has great knowledge and supported me the whole time during my training. She explained everything clearly and was always helpful and kind.
I also want to thank Laila in the creche. She does an excellent job in the creche and made me feel comfortable and confident leaving my child there.
I am very thankful to the staff at Stanley College for their support and care.
Serious governance and delivery failures in Diploma of Nursing
This review is based on serious concerns regarding the delivery, governance, and overall learning experience of the Diploma of Nursing at Stanley College (Mirrabooka, WA).
Despite my strong commitment to my studies and consistent engagement with all academic and assessment requirements, I ultimately withdrew because I lost confidence that this qualification was being delivered in a fair, transparent, or professionally acceptable manner.
A critical issue was the retrospective amendment of unit requirements, specifically HLTENN038, without timely, clear, or adequate communication to enrolled students. Accurate information could not be obtained through Stanley College channels, and I was forced to seek clarification directly from ASQA. This raises serious concerns about procedural fairness, transparency, and student equity—particularly where assessments were completed in good faith under the requirements in place at the time of submission.
More broadly, program delivery appeared disorganised and, at times, chaotic. This included:
Frequent grammatical and quality errors in learning materials
Ongoing LMS failures that disrupted classes and left students in limbo
Lecturers leaving classrooms to resolve system issues
Large cohort sizes without proportional staffing
Classes routinely left unsupervised while assessments were conducted elsewhere
This consistently undermined structured learning and meaningful student engagement.
There was also a clear double standard in expectations. Students were strictly held to punctuality and attendance requirements (e.g., mandatory 8:00am starts), yet teaching staff did not consistently meet these same standards, with classes sometimes starting significantly late. This imbalance demonstrated a lack of respect for students and contributed to a strong sense of being undervalued. Students were openly told that if they were unhappy, they could “just leave,” reinforcing a culture where concerns were dismissed rather than addressed.
When instructed to escalate concerns to the relieving Dean, my formal complaint was met with silence. No acknowledgment. No resolution. No support; effectively confirming the absence of functional student support or complaint handling processes.
Comments such as “If you can’t handle complex situations, maybe nursing isn’t for you” are dismissive and inappropriate, particularly when used to deflect legitimate concerns about poor course governance.
For context, I have extensive experience managing high-pressure, complex environments, including frontline and support roles with NZ Police, Victim Support NZ, and within complex-needs dementia care. I also hold qualifications in Psychotherapy, Dementia Care, Individual Support, and Occupational Therapy Assistance—all of which were rigorous, well-coordinated, and professionally delivered. Stanley College did not meet these same basic standards.
Nursing education should be demanding, but avoidable confusion, inconsistent standards, ineffective communication, and absent student support are unacceptable, especially in a regulated qualification that directly impacts patient safety and professional readiness.
The overall experience was profoundly disappointing, and I feel genuinely cheated of the quality of education I reasonably expected. Prospective students should carefully consider these issues before enrolling.
An Exceptional School!
Mabuhay!
Stanley College has truly been an exceptional place to study. I came to Australia intending to take Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, but later decided to shift to Certificate III in Individual Support and eventually the Diploma of Community Services. At the time, I had no professional experience in this field—only a genuine passion for helping people in need.
One of the reasons I felt confident stepping into the care industry was because of our main trainer for Certificate III, Romi Pradhan. Her teaching ensured we were not only knowledgeable but truly job-ready. She provided us with the skills, confidence, and understanding needed to enter the workforce prepared.
I first met Mohammad Seidu during our Manual Handling Training, where he was one of the instructors. His depth of knowledge and extensive real-world experience stood out immediately. He shared practical, real-life work scenarios that helped shape us into capable and responsible carers. With the guidance and skills I gained from my trainers, I was fortunate enough to be hired by the same facility where I completed my Work-Based Training.
During my Diploma course, I had the opportunity to learn from several trainers who were all highly knowledgeable in Community Services. However, Mohammad Seidu truly stood out. Beyond teaching the course content, he motivated and supported us during challenging times, advocated for us, and genuinely cared about our success. He ensured we stayed on track and finished the course, while also teaching us valuable leadership skills that go far beyond textbooks—preparing us for roles as team leaders, coordinators, and professionals in the field.
I am proud to have completed my Diploma of Community Services at Stanley College, and I am genuinely excited to continue my journey here. I cannot wait to begin my Bachelor’s degree and further grow both personally and professionally.
Thank you, Stanley College, for having such dedicated and inspiring trainers. Having Mohammad Seidu as part of the Diploma program made a lasting impact on our journey. We are truly grateful.
Mohammed Seidu Heads Up🎉
Mohammed is an exceptional lecturer in the Diploma of Community Services program. He demonstrates a high level of professionalism, patience, and genuine care for his students learning and development. His friendly and approachable manner creates a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and participate actively. Mohammed consistently explains complex concepts clearly and provides practical examples that enhance understanding. His dedication and supportive teaching style have greatly contributed to my learning experience and overall success in the course. Kudos to Stanley for having an incredible lectures…

Finance Controller (Dean Prospero )
I recently had the pleasure of working with Financial Controller (Dean Prospero) and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for his assistance. From the very beginning, he was incredibly helpful and patient, taking the time to thoroughly understand my case and address all of my concerns. His professional approach was outstanding, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about helping me navigate my financial situation.
I work full-time in the aged care…
I work full-time in the aged care industry and enrolled at Stanley College to study for a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) as part of the Traineeship Program funded by the Australian government. Initially, I was unsure about how I would adapt to studying in a classroom setting after a long break from formal education. However, Stanley College has provided a comfortable learning environment with experienced and supportive teachers, making my transition back to study much smoother and more enjoyable.
My primary teacher was Mohammed Seidu, who has extensive knowledge and experience in the field. Although I work in the industry, every time I attend Mohammed’s class, I find myself taking notes because there is always something new to learn. Each visit to Stanley College enriches my knowledge and enhances my skills.
I am proud to have successfully completed my Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) and have now enrolled in Certificate IV in Ageing Support with Stanley College to further expand my knowledge and career opportunities in the industry

Liz Goonawardene was an outstanding instructor during my Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery at Stanley College. Her hands-on approach and clear explanations helped me build both my cooking skills and confidence. Liz was patient, supportive, and always ready to offer individual guidance. She created a positive and encouraging environment, making the learning experience both enjoyable and effective. I highly recommend Liz to anyone pursuing a career in cookery.
No Compassion, Only Greed: My Painful Experience with Stanley College
My experience with Stanley College has been nothing short of heartbreaking. In 2022,I lost my mother due to the pandemic. Despite the immense pain I was going through, I pushed myself to finish my studies. However, the college showed no empathy or support during this incredibly difficult time. Instead, they made my life harder when I needed understanding the most.
In 2023, when I had to extend my visa, my agent first told me that I was eligible for a student visa, only to later inform me that I wasn’t. My only option left was a COVID visa. I had emailed my agent to cancel my COE before the required date, but they failed to act on it. I then had to contact the college myself, and that’s when they told me that I was responsible for the full cancellation fee. Even after I provided proof that my agent was aware of the cancellation, they refused to acknowledge it. All that seemed to matter to them was money, and they made it clear that they would use students' visa situations to pressure them.
Now, they’ve sent me to a debt collector and are demanding more money, which is beyond unjust. I have been treated terribly throughout this whole ordeal, and it has caused me so much unnecessary stress. I truly believe that God sees everything, and one day, they will realize the harm they’ve caused, not just to me but to others too, all in the name of their greed. I pray that they understand the pain they inflict on individuals just to satisfy their financial interests.
I would never recommend Stanley College to anyone. It’s clear that they care only about taking money and making it impossible for students to leave without paying every cent. I feel like they've completely exploited my situation, and I hope others can avoid the same heartbreaking experience.
SCHOOL HYPOCRISY
A lot of Bad Reviews, I wonder why lols! Cause they act as if they care about the students and the moment you withdraw your application they automatically send you your cancellation fee (TOTAL ROBBERY BTW) without even responding the emails you’ve sent them before about the commencement postpone. Instead of 70% Cancellation fee they ask for 100%! And guess what? I specifically had a talk w someone to only apply for Cert IV and paid for Visa extension purposes (One of the reasons for offering me the postpone btw) AND THEY’RE ASKING ME TO PAY FOR BOTH CERT IV AND DIPLOMA BAHAHAHA! Thank you for the undying support and care for the students stanley college! 🙄
Dodgy college
Dodgy college, ignoring all the withdrawal emails and sending cancellation fees afterwards, stay faraway from this dodgy land.

Bad implementation of policies
Bad implementation of policies, they give students pressure for nothing, their education is a waste of time
worst college ever
worst college ever. No respect to staffs.
no flexible classes, as students have to stick with the schedule which were provided and even if you want to change you have to get through a lot to change. And might not be able to change as well. And moreover if you have anything like to change the course, just forget about your money as they rob and you won't get the money back.
