Ordered 2 packs of 200 coloured fairy lights supposedly charging via solar or USB on 25 November. Package delivered by EVRI on 3 December. On opening the package found that the boxes were falling apart and had clearly been a returned product given the state of the original packaging. The lights were not as ordered and were only able to charge on solar and not also by USB.
Immediately tried to contatc SPV lights be telephone only to hang on for an eternity and then put through to voicemail to leave message. This evoked no response. Email were also ignored. Attempted to implement a return. Accepted and given a returns number and guided to a web address to print off a returns label. No such label available as link solely created another return request.
Company do not respond to telephone, voicemail or email attempts to contact them. Absolutely no customer service and clearly only out to make money by fraudulent methods.

Ordered on 23rd November but not delivered until 3rd December (shown as posted on 1st December?)

When I ordered, I was never able to contact the company when the delivery became very protracted - no answer to emails or calls.

A year later, the light (2 year warranty) failed. Guess what? I can’t get any response from the company…

I’ve written off the cost and will look elsewhere for a replacement. Zero stars for customer service.

Had been really pleased with service and product until experienced problems with lights exploding which is definitely a safety concern - sent photos but did not receive any response. Due to previous good service I have ordered replacements but these have not arrived. Looking at other reviews it seems that the company has severely dropped standards which is a shame

I bought some solar lights to put outside in the garden. During the summer both lights exploded at different times with such a bang, and bits flew around the garden. It was very frightening and luckily I was not in the garden at the time. I did report this to say the lights were very dangerous. They were helpful at first but no refund. Also the small fairy lights I bought only lasted 4 weeks. So I would not recommend these lights.

Lights are fine..decent price..very disappointed with how long it took to deliver..tracking stated parcel was at depot on Sunday.. didn't receive it till the Wednesday after

Approximately 11 months old and only 1 of the 4 solar lights purchased still works. Very poor quality. The remaining light works very low power at best.

Lights exploded, contacted company, sent photographs and then sent lights back to the company, with promises of a refund. this was June 2025. Numerous emails since, no reply

Haven’t received my order over 4 weeks now, company doesn’t answer phone, or if you leave voicemails they don’t ring back.. left 3 emails still no reply, seems legit

Lights exploded and initially email was answered and after a long drawn out affair replacement lights sent. Both were faulty and since then no reply to emails. No one ever answers the phone and the promise of a return call if you leave a message is a complete lie. Despite various letters sent using Consumer Scotland templates still no answer. Avoid them like the plague. They are awful

One of my security solar lights exploded …. Zach initially responded and acted quickly but now emails are being ignored and phone doesn’t get answered!! I was promised a refund but this is still outstanding over a month later.
Other products bought failed after a couple of weeks!
Company is a complete shambles, customer service non existent. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM SPV LIGHTS!!

Solar Spot Light delivered with part missing. Sticky Pads delivered totally wrong size.

Numerous emails with pics, msg's, phone calls. All ignored.

Attempted to return the whole order but was blocked when trying to access return label.

This company are a disgrace and should be stopped from trading.

I now have an unworkable light, Sticky Pads that dont fit and cant return!

Case opened with PayPal. (Wonder if they get any better response than I did)???

Save your hard earned cash and frustration! Just AVOID.

I have e-mailed spv lights as 2 of my lights exploded , one was blown of the wall breaking the plastic and hit my partner on the face , lucky it wasn't his eye . I don't hold out much hope receiving a reply after reading all these reviews but me thinks trading standards should be involved .

I have 8 of these lights at my stable yard. Came up today to find one had exploded! They are on my outer fence around my training arena . Extremely dangerous avoid ! Company not answering phone as I want a refund

I have four of these lights that have functioned only occasionally. This afternoon, one of them exploded with a a massive bang sending fragments of plastic in all directions. Extremely dangerous - had clearly burned. Others being removed and will take failed one to trading standards. THESE LIGHTS ARE DANGEROUS DO NOT USE.

I’ve dropped 1 star for SPV as their delivery & communication from delivery partners Evri is quite poor, I waited 7 days for delivery (in these times that’s a long wait) barely any updates and no tracking until delivery day? Package arrived quite poorly packaged, box was damaged, and lights escaping from box… on the plus side, I’m very pleased with the lights themselves, I bought them to go under the canopy of my new garden swing , and they do look lovely 🥰 so apart from slow delivery & lack of communication I’m very happy with my dandelion lights.

Avoid this company !!! we purchased 14 solar fence panel lights last year, early this year 2 failed, they were not interested in exchanging under warranty !
Yesterday 1 of the lights exploded at around 6.30PM
We will be removing the lights today 17th June 2025 and have already contacted trading standards as this is a widespread issue, google or go on facebook to see for yourself, these lights are dangerous!!!!

This company doesn't even deserve one star and shouldn't still be selling potentially dangerous products! Two of the 4 solar lights I purchased at the end of last year exploded. Initially when I e-mailed my concerns to SVP there was some response from them. They said to send a picture (which I did) and they would refund me but no mention of why the lights exploded. As time went by with no refund or further response I requested the matter be escalated to a Manager and was told it had been escalated. Again weeks go by and again no response. Please be aware that months down the line and numerous complaints of exploding lights on Facebook this company is still selling these lights. Also my complaint on their Facebook page was deleted!

One of the lights exploded with some of the parts landing approx 10 meters away from its fixing in our patio area. Very fortunate that no one was hurt as my wife was sunbathing on the patio at the time.

Would not even give a one star review,they sold me dangerous lights that exploded I emailed them and the character called Zach was very apologetic and said he would withdraw the batch from circulation.and he would pass on my information to financial department for a refund,than never came ,and don’t answer.
