After struggling to grasp year 7 maths topics, we decided to set my daughter up with a tutor from Spark tutoring to grow her confidence. Mia has been fantastic - always encouraging, instilling confidence and clarity. My daughter has developed a lovely rapport with her and is never afraid to ask questions or get it wrong.
Communication is easy and clear and Mia offers flexibility for sessions, allowing us to move and change when necessary. We are pausing over the summer for a bit of a break but my daughter is looking forward to starting again in September.

We've had a great experience with Spark, from the start they have communicated well with us. Our tutor finds the balance of building confidence and knowledge within lessons by targeting gaps in knowledge and reinforcing what she already knows. He works at her pace so their is plenty of time for questions or explaining concepts if needed. The sessions are scheduled at a time that fits us and are planned to cover all the topics. Our daughters class teacher has noted an improvement in her confidence and risk taking after starting these sessions. We are continuing over the summer holidays to prepare for Y7.

I can’t recommend Sparks tutoring enough. We joined based upon a family friend’s recommendation several months ago and are thoroughly impressed
My (15yo) daughter has thoroughly benefitted from the tutoring. Being online has made it much easier to maintain continuity with lessons wherever she may be (my home or her mothers)
It was very reassuring and impressive that Sparks took time to ‘match’ her with the right tutor & her engagement in lessons reflects this
It has also been very easy to contact the team & Faye when we have queries & they have also been very quick to respond

Finally I really appreciate the fact that if for some reason we cannot attend a lesson they can be banked or moved instead of just being lost
I think this really demonstrates valuation of their customers & customer relationships
Though initially I was skeptical of non-face to fade tuition I’m really glad we tried Sparks as for us it has worked so well

Really pleased with the tutoring my son has received so far. He used to attend a face to face tutor but was always a struggle to get him there as he hated it.
With the Maths and English tutoring he had with sparks he never complains and is always happy to join the session.

The tutors are always very friendly and are happy to work on topics recommended by his school or that he is working on in school.

Another positive is that’s they are flexible with dates and will bank or rearrange sessions so you don’t lose money which is really helpful.

Would definitely recommend.

Great service thanks. Very speedy response to help get the best out of my son in the last 8 weeks of GCSE revision. Tutor was well matched to my son and he enjoyed sessions.
Had a few issues with the app setting up and it kept snoozing me so I missed some notifications, but that may have been my lack knowledge. Would be improved if parents could track exactly the number of lessons accrued and when they took place in the app but overall I was very happy.

From the very beginning, Spark have been so patient and informative about the process and answering my many questions! In just a couple of months, my son has gone from not wanting to engage in any type of revision or focus, to writing pages of work and actually being motivated in a subject he really struggles with. Umair has bought to life my sons GCSE text's and gave a different view point of teaching which has been a game changer. The sessions are well planned, interesting, and humanised. As a parent, I have been able to see the impact this has made. We honestly cannot thank Spark enough for tailoring the learning for our son and helping fast track him to his GCSEs. We have just completed a few months of study in maths and English, and the transformation has been incredible. He went from having zero confidence to genuinely believing he can pass.
In his whole life, we have never seen him sit down and do work at home, but our amazing tutor Mary brought out the very best in him from the moment they started sessions. He clearly doesn’t want to let her down and has been really trying. We are so grateful. She completely understood how he needed to be supported, and they built such a strong bond.
We are really going to miss her, but hopefully we can come back and book her again for our daughter when needed.
We cannot wait to see how exams go, and we will be sure to come back and share an update when the results come out in August.

The team was very responsive to our requests and my son enjoyed the lessons from the tutors, who were very engaging. What I would have liked to see was an actual log of the lessons received so we know how many lessons were actually given.
