The design is good and works as intended. The workmanship is not worth the pricetag though. It arrived with two large dents that chip the paint and one of the screws for the blackboard doesnt screw in. It's something I would expect from a $30 amazon special.
Unfortunately it's not worth the effort to return it since the kids will trash it anyway.

I ordered two luxe boards and paid £90+ they are ok….. just ok! Stain does not appear to have been applied properly/neatly and areas have been missed or surfaces not smooth! These were supposed to be Christmas presents so I’m very disappointed as they look cheap! I have tried emailing So Wood but as yet have not had the courtesy of a reply….. Not a good first experience as they look lovely in the ads!

I made a two for one order early September. I hadn't heard anything so emailed asking what is happening with my order. They have one item in stock, but not the other. The other item isn't due in until November so they won't send the other item until then.
If they don't have items in stock, and not expecting them for a couple of months they should not take the order, or at the very least, send the one they do have.
Customers have a right to know when they are ordering that items will take two months to be delivered.

they changed design removing the shown bar across the front. their defence was as it to be pushed up against kitchrn bench its not needed, but unless your bench top is flush with the wall part this doesn't work, most benches have a lip which then leaves a gap so is a serious falling hazard. why they changed this design is beyond me. sadly unsafe

It has been 2 months since we placed out order and it has not arrived. Delays after delays.

Still have not got the leaning tower that was ordered in April. Lots of excuses that the product is coming.

I ordered an item from Sowood for my toddler in May with information that the item would arrive mid June. It’s now late June and I haven’t received a single update. I’ve emailed multiple times and reached out on social media but no reply, no response, and I still don’t have my item. I’m starting to think this isn’t a legitimate company and am really disappointed with the lack of customer service, despite their website saying that they monitor their inbox closely and reply within 1 day. I’ve now referred the matter to Consumer Affairs.

7 weeks after buying a product that was listed as ‘in stock’ I have still received nothing.

I emailed after no shipping update after 2 weeks and they replied to offer me a different product which I did not want. Another month passes I still have no updates, no communication and no refund.

Email sent 11/5 (7 weeks after purchase) to request refund and will be taking this to the ACCC and ombudsman of refund is not received in a timely manner.

SCAM of a company!

Edit: the order was received. There was no communication around any delivery issues. The process needs to be improved.

Scam company.

Ordered a $200 wooden kids tower with shipping protection.

Product has never arrived. No response from customer support. Scam.

I purchased these cheese boards as presents for family and friends. Everyone loved them. The personalisation option made the gifts extra special. Easy to order and received in time. I was even able to view before buying which was helpful (uk based outlet). I can recommend these boards and this company.

Bought a two drawer cheese board as a present for someone. It was so good I bought another for someone else. Quality is very good and people always ask where I bought it from. Highly recommended.

I ordered 2 x Two drawer cheeseboards from SoWood. When I unpacked the first one I was very disappointed with the quality. So I asked customer service about the way to return them for a full refund. It took several emails to actually get the correct address to return it to. I was given a totally incorrect postcode (SN for Swindon, instead of S for Sheffield), which if I had used it, would have resulted in the item going missing. Is this So Wood's way to avoid giving refunds I wonder?
I had to pay for the return myself, then when they did finally give me a refund they deducted nearly £10 from it. Apparently they do not give full refunds.
Not at all a happy experience. The dangers of buying from companies who advertise on Facebook.
If SoWood had given a full refund they would not have received a 1* review.
10.01.2026 A Postscript - I was contacted by SoWood who said that on reading my review they would refund the balance of £9.90, and asked me to revise my review. This was 4 days ago. So far no refund has been given. Why say they are going to give a refund, then not do it?
19.01.2026 - A further postscript.
On 16.01.26 Grace from So Wood has once again messaged me to promise the balance of the refund will be made. However; Nothing has been credited to me.
Obviously promises to refund are meaningless with this company. They cannot be trusted.
I urge everyone to steer clear of So Wood and not purchase products.

Dreadful never had a company supply a faulty item and suggest the customer can buy a new part them self

on 7th December still nothing despite emailing them three times and politely asking them to refund my money
no reply
So please do not order anything from this company
I am now going down the route of asking the bank to help

Late Delivery. It was instructed as guaranteed Christmas Delivery. However, this was not true. The order was delivered a couple of days after Christmas.

Dissatisfied with the service, most specifically since the shipping cost was not cheap & had to pay for extra fees as well when it arrived in my country.

Apart from this, when I contacted the company regarding such issue to share my experience I did not even receive a reply back. I do not expect such values from a company

Needed a replacement dish after I broke one. Responded very quickly and sorted everything out. Great service. New dish arrived safely.

Ordered one for myself and one for a Christmas present. Arrived when stated. Packaged well. The workmanship was excellant and I loved all the accessories. Very pleased.

Great quality product
Delivery did take a while, but the items were well worth the wait.

I saw So Wood on instagram and the cheeseboards were just what I was looking for as gifts for my grown up children. The two for the price of one was brilliant, placed the order and the boards arrived prompt and well packed.

My children were delighted Christmas Day and they both used the boards that night"

Despite me having missed the ability to order my "free" board I was still sent it when I queried it no questions asked! The product was lovely and top quality even better than it looked in the photos!
