Had a blocked drain .. called and spoke to Ryan who came out and inspected for us .. showed us the problem on his camera and explained best way to rectify .. no call out fee and fees were explained before he got started .. would recommend

Avoid this company at all costs, they are significantly overpriced, and after surveying the drains and passing CCTV down the drains, they left and I paid £580 three weeks later, I have the same problem back , so I call Ryan the proprietor who promised he would get back to me, excuse after excuse. Another 3weeks have passed and I call again to be told if he comes out to look at the drains again, he will be charging me again.
All in all I am in the position I was in February with the drains but £580 out of pocket, so as I said use this company at your peril

I contacted this company and explained that our rain water down pipes and soak away were blocked. Mike and Kristian arrived first thing the next morning and promptly cracked on identifying the problem. The engineers then proceed to efficiently work out a solution and put in place a plan to correct the defective drainage system. This also included creating a new soakaway.
You couldn't fault the quality 0f there work or how efficiently they completed the work tasks to correct the drainage problems.
I would certainly recommend them.

Ryan contacted me very quickly, having been made aware of my problems by my plumber, offered to come round promptly and was flexible with my availability.
Throughout the whole process I was given as much info and detail as I wanted, problems and solutions were explained clearly. I even got to see live down my yucky drain!
Costs were set out clearly before any work was done and very reasonable considering the problem I had. My insurance covered it no quibbles because all was so clear and straightforward and well documented.
I would not hesitate for a second to call Ryan and Southern Drainage out again should the need arise.

BEWARE OF THE COSTS. significantly higher than the competition, £20 higher per half hour and demanded payment before he left.
The 'no callout fee' and 'free quotation' cost £681 for 2 1/2 hours work. Ryan was very fast on the phone, very persuasive, but once his man was on site he wasn't going let him stop and do the 'free quotation', as he kept sayings 'he needed to see more' before he could quote'
WARNING, don't be rushed and panicked into not shopping around, everyone else if significantly cheaper. This industry is not regulated at all, so no-one to complain too!

Absolute scammers. Charged us 10x what we should have paid, didn't provide what they should have done if they were actually qualified and professional, and then tried to scam us into paying twice. Please don't use them.

Nice guys, but quote was very high, took cash and have yet to return it when the job was cancelled.

Absolutely delighted with the service received from Ross and Phil who attended our home this morning. Really friendly and helpful guys who explained exactly what needed to be done to unblock an outside drain. They arrived bang on time and cleared up behind themselves and actually gave out advice and potential remedies for us in the future should a similar thing happen again. That’s a first!!

I asked for a quote at 4am online and recieved an email with a very clear price and service description at around 7.30am.
Great timing, super helpful. Not had any work done yet as we're still in early stages but will certainly keep this company in my mine for their efficiency

When speaking to this company about coming round to look at our blocked toilet I was quoted a call out charge and a charge if a jet machine needed to be used.
They sent a man round called Elliott who told my wife the same as me that there would be a call out charge of around £90 and £150 or so if the machine needed to be used.
My wife agreed and signed a form. Elliott then advised the blockage was because our pipes needed de-scaling. Two and a half hours later he showed me the toilet being flushed. Which flushed better but definitely not as it was.
I had to go out so my wife had to deal with the bill-£87.50 PER HALF AN HOUR and £57.50 plant hire PER HALF AN HOUR!! Total cost £878.32. I was absolutely gobsmacked when I heard what the bill came to. At no point were these charges mentioned.
I called the office and they said my wife signed a form with the charges listed and that it was made clear from the conversation over the phone what these charges would be. They said all conversations are recorded so I asked if they could send me the recording of the conversation and a copy of the form that my wife signed. It’s been nearly a month on and surprise, surprise neither have been sent to me.
Not only that, when we put paper down the toilet the blockage was exactly the same.
We called them back, trying to get them back round but no luck. They haven’t been back. So we paid the best part of £900 for them to come round and not fix the blockage. In the end we had to call another company to come round and they fixed the problem in less than an hour. It had nothing to do with the pipes needing de-scaling it was a toilet air freshener that was flushed down and got blocked in the toilet. £100 to fix.
These guys are cowboys and rip off merchants-just don’t bother.

contacted a 91 year old with dementia and sold him cover for drains, etc. Rang them and told them to cancel immediately explaining that should remove him from their mailing list. They said they would and would not be taking any monies. They have since taken two months premium at £30 per month and no longer seem to answer their phone.

The company came to assist us with a blocked toilet. After about one and a half hours left saying it was done! We paid the £231 by bank card.
My wife went and tested after he had left and found it still blocked!! Rang him immediately and he returned and eventually cleared the blockage and gave a further invoice for £231 which my wife paid!! We had now paid twice!!
We only had ONE invoice confirmation from them and NO REPLY to a text sent by my wife.
We now have to contact the credit card company to try and reclaim the second invoice!!
So beware of this Company!!

Excellent service, very professional and knowledgeable. The drainage specialist was able to call very quickly and dealt with the blockage to my parents complete satisfaction.

What a fantastic service!! Quick to answer the phone, polite and professional right from the start, although busy still came out the same day (even though I phoned quite late in the day), gave excellent advice on what could be done and the most financially economical way for me to do it (and saved me a considerable sum of money in the process), did the job quickly to the very highest standard, open and honest about the cost (which was very reasonable).... even returned the next day to help with a different problem I had, and did that job fantastically as well. It's refreshing that in these times of seemingly poor service and lack of customer care that there are still some companies out there who take pride in their work and provide a really top quality customer orientated service. Ryan from Southern Drainage and Water is one of them and I honestly couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Top bloke Ryan had blocked drain he came out unblocked but was still an issue inside the system came back on Sunday morning took out broken u bend and replaced with a liner .he was clear on what he was doing the whole time on the job would recommend him to friends and family
