Fees and charged
We were not given the fact that when payments would start or the fees involved. We have had way too much money taken out of the account to set this finance up in the first place.

Hi Darelle,
After reviewing our files I understand you were specifically upset about the $495 setup fee on your Chattel Mortgage (Commercial Loan).
The process is slightly different for residential, but as part of our standard commercial loan procedure, we inform every customer three times about the fees associated with a loan.
1. Formal Approval: We have a series of dot points in our formal approval email that specify loan repayment, fees, term etc.
2. Loan Contract: By law, we must list all fees associated in the schedule section of the contract.
3. Finalisation: Once a loan settles, we send a confirmation email detailing exactly how much will be deducted from the customer’s bank account.
It’s also part of our process to ask a customer, upon receiving the approval email, if they have any questions about the loan. A very common question that gets asked is “Are there any fees?”. According to our notes, Nathan and yourself specified you had no questions.
Nobody enjoys fees, but the vast majority of our customers understand they are an unfortunate reality of obtaining finance. Receiving our first 1 star review is upsetting, but I guess there is a first time for everything.
Regardless, I thank you for your feedback and moving forward we as a team will try to be even more clear to our customers about fees.
