Sol4r was able to start the installation very soon after the order was placed and was flexible regarding minor adjustments required during installation.
Installation overran by a day. But this was more due to the size of the installation and dealing with a detatched garage requiring burying several cables.
Happy to recommend Sol4r.

Customer service above all else
I would highly recommend the team at Sol4energy. They delivered a full solar and garden room installation package for us and the customer experience for me personally is why I'm so happy to recommend them.
They walked us through the whole process and made themselves available whenever we had any questions. They even made a second visit to complete a final bespoke phase and were working with me the whole time to ensure that I was happy.
It is very rare to get a company that prioritise customer satisfaction above all else so I very much appreciate that and we are very happy with the work. Many thanks to the team!

Excellent Service from Start to Finish
I had around 17 quotes before choosing Sol4r Energy, and I’m glad I did. From the initial survey to the installation, everything was professional and well organised. The installation was completed in just two days, and all my handover documents arrived within 2 weeks. The Aiko 490W panels and Sigenergy system have been performing brilliantly. Friendly, competent and committed - what more can you ask for?
After much research, I decided to use Solr for my PV and Battery installation back in January. I’ve had solar before, so I knew what to look for and these guys ticked all the boxes on quote, survey and installation.
Most importantly, after the install, they have been responsive and committed to keeping the system running smoothly, despite some technical bumps due to the bleeding edge technology I specified.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Solr if you’re in the area and looking for a renewables company to help with your project.

Communication was good initially and prompt response and explanation of solar system at visit. However, on discussion and then quote given there seemed a significant difference in price. I emailed back and received no communication as to why.

Great Experience in Crawley
We had our solar installation completed by Sol4r Energy at our property in Crawley, and the whole experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish.
This was a large project on a massive roof, but the team handled everything with complete confidence and professionalism, they are genuinely on a different level.
Usman from sales was excellent throughout, always clear, responsive, and easy to deal with. On installation, Wasim and Asim were brilliant and delivered the job to a very high standard. Wasim even fixed an issue with our air conditioning system something completely unrelated to the install which just shows the level of skill and care these guys bring.
There was also a technical team member (I unfortunately didn’t catch his name) who went far above and beyond, fixing additional issues on our roof and working around all the cabling concerns I had, without charging anything extra.
The workmanship, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile is something you don’t see often. These guys are truly on a very different level.
Highly recommend Sol4r Energy to anyone considering solar.

Good value and professional company
Was recommended through a friend who had an excellent experience and service with them. They called at my convenience and talked me through the process. Came over for a more detailed survey and were flexible in my request to not have panels on the roof and install on the flat roof. Provided a detailed breakdown on benefits and potential savings. Were flexible on the quote and accommodated my changes and on installation day worked tirelessly to ensure install and commissioning was completed even through the we had all 4 seasons in one day with the weather.
Excellent communication throughout, and so far very good after care. Would highly recommend this company. Am now looking to get my AC and EV charger installed by them.

My Solar installation in Surrey
We had a SigEnergy system installed with Aiko panels by Sol4r Energy in January, and I couldn’t recommend them more highly. From the very beginning, the team was knowledgeable, transparent, and professional throughout the entire process.
All the system insights were clearly explained, and the relevant certifications were delivered within just two weeks, only the grid application took a bit longer, which is understandable. They also carried out a complex cable run that was executed to a very high standard, showing real attention to detail and technical expertise.

Unprofessional with poor customer service
We entered into a contract with Sol4Energy to install solar panels at our home. They did no evaluation to ascertain suitability of these panels for our property leading to a failed installation and causing damage to our property during installation.
It has been a very frustrating process to claim just our deposit back (it took them 2 months to return our deposit back after numerous emails and calls). They also refused to take any accountability for damages caused to our property (even though the contract allows for this). They went radio silent and never returned calls.
Their sales process on the other hand is highly misleading where they make tall claims on the benefits of solar and their service (example our solar panels will take your EPC to a guaranteed A - which we all know is not accurate) and take calls at all times of the day giving a false sense of proactiveness. They are nowhere to be found if things go wrong.
In summary, a highly irresponsible and unprofessional setup that I would avoid at all cost. If you use them, please double check all proposals with a structural engineer on suitability of panels as they have no such capability. We never leave negative reviews for any business, but felt compelled to do so in this instance so future customers can avoid landing in a similar situation.

1. Suitability Evaluation and Installation Damage
We understand your frustration with the installation process and would like to clarify the steps taken. We conducted a thorough survey of your property, and your builder confirmed that the structure was suitable for solar panel installation. After the installation, there were concerns about leakage after heavy rain. We do not believe this was caused by the panels themselves, and our head of installation provided relevant data to explain our stance. The complexity of the site under construction added challenges. Once concerns were raised, we acted quickly and removed the panels on your request.
2. Deposit Refund Process
We acknowledge that the delay in refunding your deposit was frustrating. The delay was due to our need to claim the refund from the distributor, who was awaiting confirmation from the manufacturer. While this was outside of our control, we understand the impact it had on your experience. We made several visits to your property to address concerns and absorbed additional costs to resolve the matter. We regret that this delay caused frustration and distress.
3. Sales Process and Claims
We acknowledge that there were areas where our communication may have been unclear during the sales process. While we aim to provide accurate, realistic expectations, we recognise that some claims could have been more transparent. We deeply regret any confusion this caused and will ensure future communications are clearer.
4. Communication and Accountability
We apologise for the feeling of poor communication during the process. At Sol4r Energy Ltd, we strive to maintain open and proactive communication. It was never our intention to be unresponsive, and we continued to address concerns until a claim was filed. We recognise the importance of clear and timely communication and are committed to improving this moving forward.
5. Structural Surveyor and Planning Permission
While we recommend a structural surveyor for properties, there was a miscommunication on this matter for your project. The property’s ongoing construction complicated matters, and the structural survey was overlooked. Additionally, planning permission was not obtained, which is generally outside of our remit. We will improve our processes to ensure that this step is reviewed and communicated better in the future.
6. Compensation
Following your complaint to HIES, we reviewed the situation carefully. Although we initially disagreed on the need for additional compensation, we followed HIES' recommendations and provided compensation as guided. We understand the frustration this situation caused, and we hope the compensation has alleviated the difficulties you faced.
Conclusion
We understand that this experience has been disappointing for you, and we regret that we did not meet your expectations. Flexible and good value installation
Very prompt service with regard to booking the survey and installing the panels, battery and car charger. Good price, much better value than the two quotes from the leading utility companies and much more flexible as to where they would install the panels so we could have 15 rather than the 10 or 5 max quoted by the other two. We are very pleased with the system and installation. Connecting the car to Octopus was painful - all email addresses for car, charger and octopus need to be the same which we were not advised of prior to setting up accounts but otherwise a very good experience.

Big investment choice made easy
Deciding to install solar panels is a big investment. I had several quotes and discussions with prospective providers to make the correct decision. Out of all of the quotes, Sol4r Energy stood out. They (Mark) listened to what I wanted and my concerns. Unlike other providers, Mark advised me on panels and more importantly, battery performance.
I then decided that I would trust Sol4r Energy with the installation.
No regrets whatsoever. Brilliant. Avtar and his team were very professional and talked me through the process of installing. Very clean and excellent work with the cabling.
The app provided is very good. It’s addictive to watch how much energy is being produced and used.
I have had a few follow up visits and calls with Salah to see how I am getting on with the system. I have been advised what I need to do next with certification so I can get on the right tariff with the right supplier.
I now have an excellent system that will reduce my costs by 75% so I am no longer dreading the next energy price cap cycle.
These guys are very passionate about the products. It’s a refreshing experience that they are not going to sell you any old product. They listen to ensure that you get the best possible product for your needs.
