Stay away from Sixt !
We’ve been renting cars worldwide for over 30 years, and never have we had such a poor experience as with Sixt at Ljubljana Airport.
The employee who handled the return was unprofessional, visibly stressed, and overwhelmed by the number of customers returning cars at the same time. She was short-tempered with us and others, and the entire process nearly made us miss our flight – in part due to Sixt’s late office opening hours.
To make matters worse, more than two weeks after our holiday ended, we were sent a charge for a scratch on a wheel cover. This was despite having received a return receipt confirming that the vehicle was in perfect condition at drop-off.
The provided photos even show mud on the tires – a clear indication that the car had been used by someone else after us, as we had it washed immediately after refueling on the morning of our return.
Moving forward, we will only rent from Avis and Hertz – and stay far away from this fraudulent company.
