More than a water bottle—it’s a heated cushion!
I received this for Christmas and it is worth every single penny. Living on the Isle of Skye, I need something that can actually stand up to the weather, and this is perfect.
Why it’s different:
The "Cushion" Feel: Because of how beautifully these are made, it doesn’t feel like a flimsy hot water bottle. The quality and thickness make it feel more like a luxury heated cushion. It has a weight and "fill" to it that is so much cozier than anything else I’ve tried.
Unbeatable Heat: The natural skin stays warm 100 times longer than synthetic covers. I don’t have to reheat it nearly as often, which is a total game-changer.
Perfect Insulation: It provides a deep, steady heat that doesn’t burn through to your skin. It’s just pure comfort.

I ordered a large hot water bottle snuggle sack, which I understand was made to order. Nevertheless, it arrived a few days later perfectly wrapped. It was so beautiful that I ordered another one. The second is equally lovely and interestingly, looks very different. It’s so lovely to have goods made personally rather than idenitkit and mass produced.

Visited in person while on holiday and bought several sheepskin rugs - they are superb, very soft underfoot and were reasonably priced too.
I was subsequently tempted to buy their moccasin slippers and this was unfortunately less impressive. First pair in my size were too small - couldn't even get them on. Return for a size bigger was handled quickly, albeit with no communication. But...they're very thin and not at all comfortable. I've tried to wear them in for a month or more but the layer of sheep skin is very thin - even more so once worn a few times; nothing like as soft and luxurious as the rugs. The sole is thin too, which makes these uncomfortable; very little padding at all. I ended up replacing them with a pair from a supermarket which were less than half the price but far more comfortable (albeit synthetic and made in China).
I would still recommend for rugs, throws etc - just not the slippers.
Excellent service & prompt delivery. Extremely well wrapped & arrived undamaged - quite an achievement considering delivery took place at the same time storm Isha & Jocelyn were battering Scotland.
I made an order more than three months ago. Firstly, I was told that I will get pictures of the product before shipment - I did not receive any pictures. Secondly, I paid for shipment and now I am being surprisingly charged $120 by DHL. The response from the company was take it or leave it. I would never order from them again or refer this company. They are unprofessional.

Thank you for your review of a white rug we made for you. I am sorry that we did not send you pictures it is not something we usually do for a white rug, even one that is made to order like yours. The information must have been missed from your order paperwork for which i can only apologise.
Our normal lead time for made to order rugs such as yours is 8 to 12 weeks as stated on the website and your order form, we do try to let customers know if we are going to be outside that time frame, in this case we just squeezed in.
I note that you are being charged import duty and local government taxes by DHL not shipment as you seem to imply. Unfortunately, we have no control over the American Federal or Local governments tax regimes, but DHL are unable to release shipments until taxes have been paid.
I do hope that you like your rug when it arrives.

I visited today to take a look at a Sheep skin seat cover for my Motorhome drivers seat.
The member of staff ‘Grace’ was quietly professional searched out a number of seat covers of different shades and was very attentive.
I was only going to buy one cover but I ended buying matching covers for drivers and front passenger seat at a great price, both for about the amount I was expecting to pay for one.
In addition we bought a pair of gloves too.
Spoke to a lovely lady in the shop. Order dispatched in good time and arrived well packed. Excellent quality product, better than expected. Top marks all round, you guys should be very proud of yourself!
I bought some slippers last March as a special present for a special birthday, they cost £55, recently the stitching gave way at the back of one, despite being worn only occasionally.
I contacted SkyeSkyins and received a very unsympathetic email in response. Perhaps this is a regular occurrence, I noticed an earlier review with same problem.
The most disappointing aspect of the problem was that the company expected me to post the slippers back at my expense and send them money for their postage. Or alternatively stitch them myself.
Absolutely not impressed.

Thank you for your review of the 10 month old slippers, we are sorry to hear about your problem with the stitching. As my colleague mentioned and as per the previous review, we are happy for you to send them back for us to review and if it is a manufacturing fault, repair at our cost including postage both ways, rather than fair wear and tear where we would repair for free, but we would expect postage to be covered by yourself.
We sell a lot of items such as slippers, and gloves particularly, whose longevity is determined by their use, and it is difficult from your picture to tell how much wear and tear they had.
I look forward to receiving the slippers back so we can make a proper assessment and resolve this issue amicably.

My experience with Skyeskyns has been fantastic.
To start with, I emailed them to ask for their darkest/blackest version of the Icelandic Black/Brown, and they replied within a day to say they had put one aside for me, and even called up to ask how I wanted to proceed with the order. I opted for ordering online as I prefer to pay through PayPal, and this was easy to do following the instructions I was given by Sheila.
Unfortunately, I forgot to order the brush at the same time! It didn't matter, as very quickly after another email wherein I enquired as to how I could fix this; they replied swiftly and -after submitting payment over the phone- a brush was bundled into my order and sent. It arrived, tracked, right at the southern part of the country (a long distance), and I sit here very comfortably on it as I write this review.
Service was friendly, highly accomodating, and the item itself is absolutely worth the price. I'm looking forward to shopping here again at some point, and I want to give Sheila my thanks for indulging my request and the addition of the brush to my order.
If you're after high quality, natural sheepskin goods, this is the first place to look.
I bought a Large rare breed jacob sheepskin from Skyeskins. I couldn't of been more delighted with both the product & the service. I had a couple of lovely conversations with Sheila, their office administrator. She went out of her way to accommodate my wishes. I got to choose between two photos of available skins & am so pleased with the product. I will be buying from Skyeskins again. I'd say for smaller companies such as these it really is worth your while discussing your requirements so they can fullfil yours wishes.

Not cheap by any means, but my slippers were warm and comfortable.
Why only 3 stars?; because, when the stitching broke and the sole started to part company with the upper after just 9 months I wasn't so impressed.
I always think after sales service can be as important as a review of the product, and it was here that SkyeSkyns let themselves down.
They requested pictures of the issue which I sent the same day, and then they requested more pictures. Again I sent those the same day.
And that was it. I've heard nothing since and judging by the tone of their emails I don't expect to hear from them any more.
Needless to say, I will NOT be buying any more of their products and I would NOT recommend them to anyone else.

Sorry that you feel this way, but we did offer to repair/replace should you have sent the slippers back to us. This unfortunately was not an option for you. We would of course have been happy to refund all postal costs. This option is still open. Unfortunately, it was difficult to see for the seamstress by looking at the supplied photographs as to if this item is repairable.
