I’ve been using Skydo for the past few months, and it’s been a great experience. Payments come through smoothly without any hassle, and the conversion rates are really solid. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Skydo Technologies Private Limited (RBI-authorised Payment Aggregator) for unjustified holding of my funds, misleading guidance, and lack of proper customer support.

Issue Description:

I was actively encouraged by a Skydo executive to increase my transaction size and process higher-value payments through their platform.

Based on this guidance, I collected a payment of USD 1260 from my client in the USA.

After receiving the payment, Skydo suddenly placed the transaction under compliance review without any prior warning or clear justification.

I was informed that their compliance team would contact me within 1 business day, but no one has reached out till date.

Despite repeated attempts to contact Skydo support, I have not received any proper response or resolution.

I would also like to highlight a broader concern:

Professionals like us work day and night, often across time zones, to earn foreign income and bring valuable USD into India. This contributes directly to the country’s economic growth and foreign exchange inflow. However, such actions by regulated entities create unnecessary stress and discourage genuine contributors.

This situation has caused me significant financial hardship, as I am dependent on these funds for my EMIs, household expenses, and my child’s school fees.

Additionally, I would respectfully request RBI to review the handling of customer funds in this case. The prolonged holding of funds without clear communication raises concerns from a customer perspective. While I do not have evidence of any wrongdoing, I request that an appropriate audit or verification be conducted to ensure that all regulatory guidelines are being followed and customer funds are handled transparently and responsibly. This is submitted purely as a concerned citizen of India.

Further concerns:

No compliance issues were raised during my earlier smaller transactions.

No risks were disclosed when their executive persuaded me to increase transaction value.

There is a lack of transparency and accountability in grievance handling.

I request the RBI to:

Investigate this matter urgently

Direct Skydo to release my funds immediately if no valid issue exists

Review and ensure compliance practices are fair and transparent

Take appropriate action if any regulatory gaps are identified

I request your urgent intervention in this matter.

Just got done with the first settlement with skydo, I am gonna say their team killed it beyond expectation specially Mahima so mentioining name coz she deserves it (Just like you i looked at negative reviews and cofronted them but got the real reason behind) If you're a genuine freelancer or a real usecase the Skydo won't be locking your account they need to report and be compliant. They've got the RBI license and that's for a reason which has to be preserved. Must say loved skydo

I have been using Skydo for a couple of years now. Skydo has helped process and settle cross-border payments fast. They have a transparent pricing structure, so there are no surprises when transactions go through. The UI is clean and easy to navigate as well. The whole process to sign up with Skydo and get the first international payment credited to the account literally took only 2 days.

We were expecting an international intermittence and shared our Axis bank current account details for SWIFT transfer. But only after the swift remittence came to the bank, we realised that we were supposed to inform the bank upfront and do a *physical* KYC, along with a bunch of forms which have to physically sign with seal. It was not possible for us to be physically present and that's when we started exploring options and found out about Skydo.

I signed up digitally and the platform pulled up all the relevant information from MCA portal using the company PAN and CIN. Then we were assigned an account manager and the video KYC and compliance process went very smooth and fast. The whole thing took less than 30 minutes. It felt very modern and magical compared to what we had to go through with Axis Bank.

We got a new virtual account which we shared with our client and got remitted the next day. The dashboard is intuitive and easy to use. Would very highly recomment Skydo for international remittences.

After completing KYC, submitting all documents, and even receiving international payments, my account was abruptly closed. The explanation given — that my “business does not require international payment services” — makes no logical sense.

Repeated requests for clarification were met with vague responses about “risk appetite” and “compliance,” without any concrete reasoning. If a business is considered outside policy, that should be determined before onboarding and processing payments — not after.

For freelancers who depend on stable international payment solutions, this lack of transparency and sudden account closure is highly disruptive and unprofessional.

Proceed with caution.

First of all I was very skeptical as I was seeing the negative reviews about Skydo on google, but when I personally used it and experienced their service then I understood that this is a genuine company and that the people in the negative reviews may have some issue with their KYC or maybe something the MuleHunter.AI detected suspicious in those accounts and they were disappointed and blaming skydo for this. However, if you are a genuine person with genuine KYC and genuine credentials, since Skydo is RBI Approved and has Payment Aggregator–Cross Border (PA-CB) from RBI, you first Google yourself what this means, then you will stop blaming Skydo. Overall it is saving us money which the banks will eat. Right now my review is a 5 star for them, in the future if any hiccups or issues, I will update my experience in this same review otherwise it will stay the same. One thing more, the skydo back-office Team and well educated and understand the needs of the customers very well. Here many banks have failed in my personal experience but skydo has won big time.
