Really easy to setup online, very intuitive and then customer service today from the Maidenhead team was very good as well

Gentleman in reception was very helpful. I ran out of sellotape halfway through packing things in my unit. They dnt sell
Sellotape but he suggested a couple of solutions and solved the problem for me. Very professional, friendly and polite

Karina was amazing start to finish, nothing was too much for her and she went around showing me all the different unit sizes and even went back again when I couldn’t decide between a 20 of 25 unit and then went over all necessary information, my unit of choice was booked in within the hour. We recently started renting a storage unit and we are happy with the staff, location, ease of use, security and price. It was great that I could visit the storage before making a decision, thank you for showing me around.

People who work here are lovely and helpful. The prices go up so often and it quickly becomes a ridiculous cost. They are counting on you staying beyond the promotional period. You have been warned!

Very convenient and staff with exception of Reece a delight to work with. Major complaint and highly significant: family have 3 storage lockers and we have all experienced price increases of 40% plus overnight. Completely unacceptable and I urge any prospective customers to discuss price increases prior to committing to rental - example of recent price increase £282 per month to £396. Spoke to Skender (manager) and nothing he could do. Apparently price increases are linked to an algorithm and thats that. Absolutely appalling and unethical as far as I’m concerned. Shurgard competitors increase rents by around 5% annually so not sure what Shurgard are thinking but definitely not customer friendly.

Excellent service, initially by Reece, who took us through the process despite us arriving minutes before it was due to close!

Web site made it really simple to arrange and book a storage unit with great communication throughout. A particular note about the facility manager at Maidenhead, Zender, who was great taking time to show me around, explain everything I needed to know, and helped to switch the pre-allocated storage unit to another on a different floor.

I had been to the facility with a relative previously, but when I looked online Shurgard provided better information as well as clear prices and options. The online process to book the storage was easy and when I went there the staff were very helpful and answered all my questions and took me to the space and explained the App and the security steps as well as the 15 day notice period. The facility is modern and well looked after. The App is simple to use and is part of a good security system. Staff are friendly and helpful and I am very pleased with the choice getting 50% off the first month rental. I did look at alternatives for the compulsory contents insurance and received a refund of the Shurgard insurance included in the order. This was straightforward to get and caused no problems.

Mixed feelings about the storage unit experience so far....
Multiple issues before moving into the unit with keep getting unit reservations cancelled, then first night I moved in to realise door magnets back and holds open for at least 6 minutes leaving it wide open to the public, not very security conscious, them despite not speaking to anyone got an email next day to say I had requested to move out of the unit, so only positives so far was lovely guy I spoke to on the phone to resolve the issue of the unit supposedly being cancelled and the lovely younger guy who showed me around the facilities months ago
