So pleased I found this space - clean, spacious and really secure. And very price competitive versus similar storage places in the area. Entry is managed through an app, which is is brilliant. I found the staff really helpful and flexible, especially Caroline who talked me through everything.

I was pleased with the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. They were always ready to assist me and give me advice.
The storage unit was convenient and easy to reach.
Just one negative remark; viz the ongoing and increasing cost of the facility. Nearly £300 per month is surely to high a rent

I used Shurgard in Herne Hill, London. It was really great and I actually really enjoyed going there. Clean, secure, everything works, kept very cool. So I would give it 5 stars as a storage facility.

HOWEVER - the price increases are pretty shocking. They get you in on a cheap deal, and then ramp it up, knowing that your stuff is in there and you are highly unlikely to do anything about it. I was offered a 50% off deal for a few months, which was cool, I knew it would go up to 100% after that initial period. It was more what happened after that. I don't think there was a period of more than 3 months where the pricing stayed the same and some of the jumps were really significant, upwards of 20%, and never with any explanation of why - it's just, here's your bill this month.

So - be prepared for that if you are in for the long term. If you need a short term solution, get a good deal and it's great.

Caroline was nothing but an absolute gem. So so kind, helpful and welcoming. Although I was incorrectly charged it was refunded within 24 hours and problem solved very easily. Would recommend using this service
