Please delay your auto emails until orders received!!

The true review of a company is when something goes array as per my first order due to festive postal delays, and auto emails asking how I was finding my order before it arrived. I initially thought I had been scammed, but after query was raised I was instantly reassured, and the order did finally arrive and I am delighted with quality and products.

Silk scrunchie and comb

Love the scrunchie and the comb! The comb is perfect for popping in a handbag, and the scrunchie is a lot bigger than I’d expected - looks so good when I toss my hair in a bun. Shipping was very quick as well.

Great brush, great customer service! My daughter and I have a brush each, one of each colour and they are lovely!

This brush is beautiful and well…

This brush is beautiful and well designed! It really makes my hair feel lovely and the more I use it, it really helps get rid of the frizz which I always thought was humidity!
I ordered the brush, it came very quickly!

Amazing hair products

I bought the brush and scrunchies. The brush is superb for my unruly hair and it detangles and defrizzes my hair brilliantly. The scrunchies are lovely to wear too. I received my purchases really promptly too. Great company and super products

Beautiful hairbrush

Received my hairbrush quickly, it’s even more beautiful than the photos show. My hair is so smooth and much less frizzy - I’m ordering one for my sister too

False claims everywhere

I have a left review on their website after my purchase but they did not publish it which raises a lot of red flag and supports my initial thoughts about their falls claims all over the website.

I have purchased a “boar bristle brush”. Real boar bristle brushes are expensive so I was keen to try this affordable one. When the brush arrived, I could see straight away it’s not real boar bristles.

After I complained they sent me an email telling me how they ethically source real boar bristles etc. totally nonsense. I’m a hair dresser… I know my brushes! They probably just source it from China and repeat whatever heir supplier tells them.

They also make wild claims saying they sold over 1.000.000 brushes… yeah right. Another red flag!

Overall that’s not a good look and while I was tempted to buy one of their silk pillowcase, I’ll look somewhere else because it’s probably satin and not silk.

Firstly, your original review was not published on our website because it could not be linked to a genuine order — a common and fair practice used by most online stores, including Amazon. Silkie is a female-founded, independently run brand built on trust, transparency and a genuine love for creating products that make haircare feel effortless and luxurious. We take great pride in our customer experience and were disappointed by the tone and content of your review.

To clarify your concerns:

– Our Ultimate Smoothing Brush is accurately described on our website as containing a blend of natural boar bristles and nylon pins — combining the shine-enhancing benefits of boar bristles with detangling functionality. These bristles are responsibly sourced, and we are always happy to answer customer questions about our materials.

– The claim that Silkie has served over 1,000,000 customers refers to our entire product range, across our website, Amazon, and trusted retail partners — not to one individual product.

– Our silk products, including pillowcases and scrunchies, are made with certified 100% pure mulberry silk. We do not use or substitute satin. We are OEKO-TEX certified and work with reputable suppliers to ensure quality and authenticity.

It’s unfortunate that these points were misrepresented, especially when we had attempted to engage with you privately to resolve the issue. If you would still like support, we are here to help — but it’s important to us that our community sees the full picture.
