Absolutely — trimming the remaining slack after you’ve set your desired width is recommended. Just be sure to leave about 2" past the hole you’re using so the strap maintains its strength and durability.

It works as advertised

It works as advertised! First round of golf I’ve played in years where my shirt tail didn’t come out. Who cares about the shirt tail coming out? Those of us who have a remote on our belt. Only complaint is the button on the belt is a royal PITA to punch through. Hoping by the 5th time it’s easier.

Thanks so much for the feedback! You’re absolutely right — the first time pushing the button through can be tough, but by the third time it usually breaks in and becomes much easier.

A quick tip: many golfers don’t remove the button at all. They simply slide the strap down when they’re done and “jump” into it when putting it on. It’s a popular shortcut that avoids having to punch the button repeatedly.

And we totally get your point about the shirt tail — golfers who wear a rangefinder or GPS remote on their belt really do need their shirt to stay tucked so it doesn’t snag or cover the device. That’s exactly why so many golf customers love the Shirt‑Tucker: it keeps your shirt secure, your gear accessible, and your look sharp on the green.

I used to have to re-tuck my shirt after every single door, I’m constantly reaching overhead to service spring systems or leaning over tracks. These keep me looking professional and put together even after a 10-hour shift of heavy lifting.
