Faulty product, blamed the customer, 160 euros gone
I ordered a product from Shelter Shop and it arrived faulty. From there the experience only got worse.
Their customer service is slow to respond, and when they finally do, they turn the problem around on you. Instead of taking responsibility for a product that did not work, they put the blame on the customer.
I returned the item as instructed and I am now 160 euros out of pocket. To get any resolution, they expect me to collect the return in person at their store in Poland. I live in the Netherlands, so that is simply not realistic. Telling a Dutch customer to drive to Poland to sort out a faulty product is not a serious way to handle a return.
What stands out most is the attitude. A defective product can happen anywhere. How a company responds afterwards is what matters, and here the response was delay, deflection and a refusal to make it right. A strange way to treat the people who buy from you.
I would not order here again, and based on this experience I would advise others to think twice, especially if you live outside Poland and might ever need to return something.
