Sharp Aquos Google LED LCD TV Model 50FN2KA
I bought a Sharp Aquos Google LED LCD TV Model 50FN2KA from my local Asda store on May 26 2023. I paid £329 for the TV which turns out was just money down the drain. On November 8 2025 the TV screen went black. I did some research online and found that the TV screen going black was a very common and much reported fault with Sharp TVs. I went through all of the TV reset actions I could find but could not resolve the problem. I also found that the life expectancy of a LED LCD TV was between 5 and 10 years. I had to purchase a new TV (certainly wasn’t a Sharp product) so I opted for a Polaroid Roku TV 4K UHD model P43U3421SKB (Produced for Asda). I purchased the new TV from my local Asda store and paid £172. The new TV performs so much better than the Sharp Aquos Google TV and better £ value.
Since my Sharp TV was less than 2 ½ years old I decided to let Sharp know about the problem in the hope that they could provide some technical assistance. On November 15 2025 I used the Contact Sharp Customer Support online enquiry form to provide feedback on my issue. The Sharp website advises that ‘someone will get back to you soon’. Days later and I have had no contact from Sharp so I don’t know what they mean by ‘soon’. I’ve now got to arrange to get rid of the Sharp TV at my local recycling centre.
I think that Google and Asda need to think very carefully about how they select the suppliers they deal with. The Sharp to Google software interface for this TV is absolutely useless and I’ll certainly not be purchasing Sharp products in the future.

Am 22.08.2025 habe ich den Kundenservice kontaktiert, weil die Fernbedienung von meinem SHARP Smart TV nicht mehr reagierte.
Im Laufe von mehreren Wochen habe ich immer mal nachgehackt, ohne dass ich eine Antwort bekam. Schließlich bekam ich am 15.10.2025 ein Einsendelabel, mit dem ich den Smart TV mit Fernbedienung einsenden sollte, was ich auch sofort tat.
Am 13.11.2025 habe ich das Gerät zurückerhalten.
22.08.2025 bis 13.11.2025 ist zu lange. Ich rate daher vom Kauf eines SHARP-Gerätes ab, so lange diese Firma das als Kundenservice versteht.

I have a Sharp microwave (YC-MC422). It is supposed to be 42 litre capacity but this is a lie - it is 32 litres.
It has been designed by engineers who don't cook and is essentially useless as a kitchen tool. Many automatic functions (which no-one needs) don't work. The oven takes ages to get to temperature (max 220 which is hopeless). The grill doesn't grill unless you put something within 4cms.
I could go on.
I have tried to get this feedback to Sharp but it would be just as useful to send it to my cat (dead btw).
If it breaks down then getting it fixed by Sharp would be impossible.

If I could rate Sharp customer service -10 I would!! For months I have had issues with my washing machine, emailed, called NUMEROUS time and no response, EVENTUALLY got someone to talk with, engineer sent who advised it’s the barring , new parts ordered and arrived, engineer returned to find out the new drum wasn’t delivered… tried again to get hold of people again, no response , again eventually eng said will be with me this morning at 7.30am-8am, nope, never turned up, called the number, no reply, text, no reply, eventually got hold of someone who said I’d get a call within an hour, you guessed it , no call! I am APPALLED with the service, utterly APPAULLED!!! Never EVER buy SHARP!!!

Bought Sharp TV in April 2025. By October 2025, the screen had large spots on 3 corners, then vertical lines running through it, then blackness. Phoned retailer (Curry's), told to contact Sharp. Sharp hard to get, eventually got them. Told they would repair tv, I would be without tv for 3 - 5 days. Why should I be without tv for something that was manufacture's fault? I rejected that. They told me I could get replacement from retailer (another story with them). Appalling manufacturing from Sharp. Poor customer relations (operative couldn't care less that I would be left without a tv). I now have a new Bush tv. Picture quality, sound def etc all totally superior to Sharp. Would NEVER recommend Sharp. I am still pursuing replacement for original tv.

Terrible experience with their washing machine, after less than a year of owning the machine I heard loud screaching noise, opened the machine and found a simple zip of my hoodie (still attached to the hoodie) stuck inside the drum, turns out it made a hole in the drum. the warranty provider Pacifica was absolutely useless, engineer ended up coming on the wrong date (so I lost a whole days of leave at work), even thoigh engineer submitted the report straight away it took Pacifica 3 weeks to get back to me after chasing every few days. Engineer report stated that the hole was not caused by mechanical fault and so warranty won't cover it. Surely a washing machine should be able to handle a simple hoodie with a zip??! DO NOT BUY SHARP WASHING MACHINES, ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH, AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, WARRANTY IS USELESS.

Bought a sharp 65" android tv (65fn4ka) after 2yrs the backlight went, had dodgy one replaced, worked fine for 4mths then went again (different one), this time 2 strips went, replaced them, then did it again after just 2 weeks. Now binning and going back to samsung.
Sharp washing machine
I've owned a sharp washing machine for nearly 2.5 years now, came with a usless 2 year warranty. I've had issues with the washing machine shortly after buying it from new. It intermittently won't spin or drain. As the fault is not always there, Sharp engineers have failed to fix it. So I still have it, but it's not reliable and at anytime it stops spinning.
I certainly would never buy another, again.

Acquisto frigorifero Sharp; il primo consegnato non funziona assolutamente.
Premetto che per questioni di salute devo prendere dei medicinali e ho dovuto chiedere ai miei vicini di conservarli nel loro frigorifero.
Dopo 1 settimana arriva il secondo frigorifero con una vistosa ammaccatura sulla porta principale.
Vado immediatamente in negozio Unieuro per segnalare l'accaduto - io sono invalida e faccio gran fatica a muovermi - e da quel momento il nulla.
Malgrado le mie difficoltà torno in negozio più volte, i commessi ogni volta chiamano l'assistenza Sharp la quale risponde in modo fumoso senza dare alcuna vera risposta.
Dal 22/07/2025 ho in casa un frigorifero che necessiterebbe di un intervento ma Sharp non risponde ad alcuna sollecitazione.
Non c'è nulla da fare, il post vendita di Sharp è semplicemente vergognoso!
No available technical support after purchase/warranty expires
I am having an issue with my washing machine. It's entering a pre-wash cycle on every program, and I have no idea how to turn this off. I called Sharp (and got through to the home appliances not microwaves team) and was informed that there's no technical support available and I'll have to go to the retailer. The retailer can only provide the manual, designed by Sharp, which doesn't have the information I need.
I find it hard to believe there's no technical support at all for post-purchase consumers unless we pay for extended warranties, and that they only advice in the form of repair visits. This is astonishing customer service and will make me think twice about ever purchasing Sharp again. It's pretty evident that Sharp have been licensing out their brand (which is why they have 3 different consumer lines, one for TVs, one for home goods, and another for microwaves) which means there's no consistency of service.
Definitely going for Bosch next time. The price mark up is worth it for the better service.

Bought a new Sharp TV. It has been a problem from day one,if I had £1 for every time it has locked up and needed powering down I would have enough extra cash to buy a decent one. I should have gone down the change route but because I mounted it on the wall and have been in and out of hospital numerous times I never got round to it. Now my illness has taken over and I haven't the strength to take it off the wall.

Don't buy from Sharp electronics, I didn't look at reviews so I must take my experience on the chin. Products SEEM good value but, they are badly made, fail after warranty runs out, can't get parts, spares, built to be extremely difficult to work on, and the customer service is pure lip service.

I have purchased 2 Sharp TV’s over the past few years, 2nd by accident as forgot the first 1 plays up.
The first Smart TV the remote stopped working to turn tv on & off, have to use the button at back of tv. As the remote does operate other feature. Newest Sharp TV purchased just over a year ago, is a nightmare, if you use the tv guide to change the channel there is no volume, you have to then turn the tv off & back on again. Apart from it losing connection from internet all the time, Sharp TV’s are not worth the money you pay for them, as any payment is a loss when the TV does operate as it should.

Website contact numbers are a joke
Dishwasher would not empty after approx 18 months of use. Contacted what I thought was Sharp but it turned out to be a company called Pacifica who sell guarantees and that's all they wanted to do. Not interested in organising a visit from an engineer.
We must have contacted different numbers that they gave us well over a dozen times and the number either doesn't exist of loops you back to Pacifica.
In the end we emailed Sharp and got a response within 24 hours and had a visit within 48 hours. Problem solved and it turned outit is thought to be a manufacturing issue.
Dishwasher now working but without the intervention from Sharp, we would not have had this situation resolved.
This experience has totally put us off buying products from Sharp. PLease take note Sharp, Pacifica are letting you down in our opinion.
Thrips between backlight and screen in a 8 month old 2024 model is a thing with sharp and they wish you good luck
I purchased a Sharp 50" screen in Denmark. Just eight months after purchase, thrips have managed to gain access to the space between the backlight and the screen. Sharp’s repair service has stated that this issue is not covered under warranty.
This appears to be a clear manufacturing defect in a 2024 model, yet Sharp assumes no responsibility. We submitted a support ticket directly to Sharp over two months ago and have received no response whatsoever.
In summary, potential buyers should be aware that new Sharp flat screens are susceptible to thrips, and when this occurs, Sharp does not care about you, your TV or your warranty.
Nie wieder Sharp...1 Stern ist noch zu gut bewertet
Wir haben im März 2025 einen Sharp Akku-Sauger bei Kaufland gekauft. Dieser war genau nach Ablauf der Garantiefrist (3 Monate) defekt. Der Bürstenmotor funktionierte nicht mehr. Von Kaufland wurden wir deshalb an Sharp verwiesen. Dann wurde es richtig interessant: Am 07.06.25 Email und Telefonat mit Sharp. Bis zum 13.06. nichts mehr gehört und noch einmal nachgefragt. Man teilte uns mit, dass das Typenschild und der Kaufbeleg nicht mehr vorliegen, und es noch einmal geschickt werden soll. Dies wurde am 14.6. von uns erledigt. Am 17.6. Rückfrage von Sharp, wer der Verkäufer war (???? dies stand natürlich auf dem Kaufbeleg). Am 19.6. teilte man uns mit, wir sollen den Service kontaktieren, und alle Unterlagen auch dorthin schicken. Das haben wir am gleichen Tag gemacht. Am 20.6. haben wir eine Ticketnummer erhalten, und wurden gebeten, alle Unterlagen NOCHMALS mit der Ticketnummer zuzusenden. Auch dies erledigten wir sofort. Am 23.06. erhielten wir dann ein Versandlabel für die Rückendung des Saugers, aber bitte incl. allem Zubehör. Am 24.06. haben wir alles (incl. Zubehör ????) zugeschickt. Nach vielen telefonischen Nachfragen haben wir den Sauger schließlich am 29.08. zurück bekommen. Den Sauger hatte man auch getestet, dies konnte man daran sehen, dass der aufgesaugte Dreck sich noch im Behälter befand.
Alles in allem lächerlich...so ein Aufstand für einen Bürstenmotor.
Für uns gilt: NIE WIEDER EIN GERÄT DER FIRMA SHARP!!!!!!!!!
