Very good organization, magical experience. I suggest a private tour as you can get all information and get answered on all questions. Guide showed best spots that look unrealistic, wish we had more time to discover more. Maybe 2 days is a better option)

Mixed Experience on Cairo Day Trip from Sharm El Sheikh

We booked this excursion expecting a well-organized day visiting the Pyramids of Giza, the Egyptian Museum, and a relaxing boat trip on the Nile, as advertised online. Unfortunately, it fell short in several key areas and did not match what was described.
The biggest issue was the hidden extras. None of the main attractions—entry to the pyramids, the museum, or the Nile boat ride—were included in the base price. We had to pay for everything on the spot, which added up significantly. The boat trip, in particular, felt like a complete rip-off: £81 for what turned out to be just 23 minutes on a small motorboat (not even a traditional felucca sail). It was rushed and offered little value.
The day felt very hurried overall, with no clear itinerary provided in advance. We were told to “take our time” at each spot but had no idea how long we had or what came next, which made it stressful rather than enjoyable.
Lunch was another disappointment—not at a proper restaurant or café as we’d imagined, but in a half-finished apartment block. To get there, we drove down a rough, debris-strewn road past fly-tipping and even the carcass of a dead horse outside. That said, the Egyptian food itself was tasty and authentic, and the host/cook was incredibly hospitable and welcoming, which was a bright spot.
No bottled water was provided throughout the hot day; we only got drinks when we paid extra with lunch.
Driving through Giza and parts of Cairo was intense—chaotic traffic and rundown areas that made us wonder if we’d ever get out—but strangely, we never felt unsafe.
On the positive side, our driver was outstanding; we can’t praise him enough for his skill and calm demeanor. Our guide, Marium, was very knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the sites.
The highlights—the pyramids and museum—were incredible and worth seeing, but the organization, unexpected costs, and mismatches with the advertisement left us frustrated. This was definitely not as advertised, and we’d advise future travelers to clarify exactly what’s included (and what’s not) before booking. If you’re set on this trip, go for the sights and the great staff, but be prepared for extras and a rushed pace.

We booked glass boat and Nas Mohammed trip/tour through Mohammed Mahdy who was recommended to me by my sister. Me and my family had the best experience at a very affordable price! We were made to feel very comfortable and even though we do not speak their language they made sure to explain everything to as as best as they could. Thumb up to Mo and the entire glass boat and Nas Mohammed Yacht(Adam) crew!!👌👍🤜🤛

I just wanted to pass on my thanks to you and your team. Everything has been excellent. Hend made the day very special for me and my daughter, we feel very lucky to have had her with us. Her knowledge, passion and desire to make our day special was first class. We both loved her to bits!

What a tour! If you book this be prepared for very long and tiring but extremely enjoyable day! Definitely worth the money!

We were picked up from our hotel at 4am as promised and the plane to Cairo was spot on time! We then went on to have an absolutely fantastic day in Cairo! Our tour guide Hend was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She made sure that the whole day ran seamlessly which meant in a day we visited the pyramids, the Egyptian museum, had a lovely lunch, visited a bunch of shops where we bought some lovely items as momentos of our trip and gifts for people at home and, before heading back to the airport, we managed to squeeze in a sunset boat trip on the Nile! She was also very good at getting those all important angles in taking pictures of us! Our driver Mostafa was also very friendly and his driving skills and patience for the challenge of driving in Cairo are not to be underestimated and were very much appreciated!

Also, Mohamed (the main contact for booking this tour) was always contactable via WhatsApp and was very responsive and helpful. He also made the effort to come to meet us in person in the middle of the tour to check how things were going which we thought was great!

All in all a very enjoyable experience! Highly recommend!

Let me start with the good points:
The driver, Mohamed, was excellent. He had to wait over 2 hours at Cairo airport due to delays with the flight from Sharm.
I got to see the Valley Temple which I had not expected. This surprise alone went a long way to counteracting much of the negativity of the day. Breathtaking.
We paid extra for a private tour. The private tour, as advertised on the website, allows for freedom for the tourist to spend the day as they please. Unfortunately nothing could have been further from the truth. Our guide, Haned, was always in a rush and keeping us moving. She clearly had ulterior motives and those motives were to make sure we got into her sponsored papyrus and oil shops, which we absolutely did not want to do. This was meant to be OUR tour, not hers. The meal that was included did not include drinks and was located on the second floor of a fast food restaurant. It was edible and no more.
Then it was the shops - a papyrus shop firstly. We bought a small, affordable, undesired bit of papyrus.
We were then escorted to an oil shop and told to take a seat. My temper was beginning to rise at this point. This was not the dream day and tour we had longed and paid for. I politely informed the staff there that we were not going to purchase anything from the start. This clearly did not go down well but at least it got us out of a shop we had zero interest in seeing.
Despite my expressed desire to go to the new museum sited at Giza, we were driven 40 minutes to the old museum where our guide directed us to the things SHE thought was interesting. I was too tired to complain at that point.
I’d had enough and my fight was gone.
By this time we were exhausted, both physically and mentally, but there was a long time left before our 23.30 flight back to Sharm.
So we had little choice other than to opt to do a Nile cruise that was offered. It was ok. But again, not what we wanted.
Lesson learned for us is that we can organise our own trip without the need for travel companies spoiling a great memory.

Sharm Excursions on behalf of Suntransfers left us stranded in the middle of the night at the Gorgonia Beach Resort, Egypt! We had to arrange our own replacement taxi to the airport (at 5 a.m.!). We arrived at the airport over 1 hour late and had to run to the gate. Endless stress... stumbled... thigh fracture! The empathy of Sharm Excursions and Suntransfers was zero. After many emails, we were reimbursed around €40 for the transfer and around €60 for the additional taxi costs. Never again!!!!

Emailed them last week with a query regarding a potential £1000+ day trip and they didn't even bother replying to me

Poor experience overall with SharmExcursions for a pyramid tour. We were a family of 8 and just booked the pyramid tour with plane tickets booked ourselves from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo. On start, despite us having the Egypt visa which we mentioned at the time of booking, the van driver ignored us telling him the same and gave us the visas again demanding money for the visa. Not only that wasted time for us catching the early morning flights but it added unnecesary argument. We were hopeful rest will be ok but on reaching Cairo, the guide Mariam did not turn up at the arrivals as agreed. We had to make several phone calls and it took at least 45 mins in scorching heat outside the airport with children looking for the van, guide and driver. Mariam has very little knowledge overall as a guide and started rushing things despite we booking the cab for the day. The van driver and Mariam guide also has several arguments whilst us sitting in the van which added to the show. The trip was booked for the whole day but she wanted to rush and finish by 4pm and asked us to wait at the airport 4 hrs for return flight. For the Nile 30 mins boat which was optional but we agreed, she charged us on the day $100 for 8 of us which was not even worth $10 boat ride. We asked the boat man and he said he charged $5 total for the ride for which Mariam took $100 from us (this was very unethical). I wouldn't recommend SharmExcursions for giving us a poor experience for the entire trip to pyramids. Please look somewhere else.

Return flights to Cairo, return hotel transfers to/from Sharm El Sheik Hotel to SSH airport, tour guide /taxi driver around Cairo, lunch, admission fees into Pyramid Park and Museum)

Communication was with Mohamed via Whatsapp - he answered all questions thoroughly before and during the tour

He asked for the balance to be paid the day before the tour - in sterling/ cash only. Of course red flags set off in my mind - I rechecked the credit card charge and the name of the vendor was not SharmExcursions! Some
UK Limited Company in London! I reported to the fraud team and they said SharmExcursions was coming up in the fine print behind the UK company!

I hoped for the best beyond this point and paid over the hard cash to a cab driver demanding a receipt and itinerary. I had the receipt and I was texted the flight booking details (although all the dob and middle names were incorrect on second inspection!)

We were picked up in a mini van at 5am and dropped off to the airport. Cleared the several bag x-rays check points (needless and excessive). Having landed in Cairo (already had the e-visa via the official website) - cleared through but no one to meet us! After making a call to the operator - a woman presented herself as the the guide. We hoped into the taxi and asked to visit the Pyramids first before the overhead sun beat down at high noon.

At this point all the worries and stress of travel were over. Truly breathtaking. We took several photos (did not go inside the Pyramids - cost is £2 pp but you need to bend all the way down and up. The oxygen levels are also low in the chamber. There is a limit of the first 100 or so visitors allowed to go inside each day

We hired camels and a horse/cart. £60 for 15 mins for 4 of us. This was negotiated but felt it was more expensive than it should be. Our guide introduced us and I felt there was some percentage kick back for the guide upon sale. The guide also tried to make us buy headscarfs but at $10 each - there really was no need!

The camel handlers were 2 boys below the age of 14. Initially charging ahead at speed we shouted to slow down as the ground was very bumpy. Again epic photos from the viewpoint.

From there we expected to visit the Sphinx park, but instead, the taxi pulled over on a side road, and a few photos with the Sphinx in the background were taken.

We were then rushed into a nice restaurant where we could order anything on the menu (except drinks) We had a fantastic view of the pyramids and Sphinx from the second floor whilst dining

The food took about an hour to come out which wasted a bit of time

I was adamant to visit Sphinx up close and personal so paid $9 per ticket to enter the park and take further photos with the family

After leaving the historic site we moved on to a shop that demonstrates how to make papyrus. Another of the guides contacts in the hope a sale goes through and a kick back commission - we declined to be pulled in and waste money on overpriced paintings on papyrus

We chose the old museum despite having no air-conditioning, as we were looking forward to seeing Tutankhamen‘s treasures

The guide was edging us towards the new museum, which had full AC we decided against that

The guide, then tried to sell us The Nile cruise tickets - initially quoted $50 per person for a five star cruise. We said too expensive.
She then went down to a three star cruise at $35 for head. Again we said no!

The tour operator then actually showed up, apologised that the Sphinx admission fee was not covered by the £190 per person and offered a five star Nile cruise at £20 per head including a full buffet and entertainment i.e. traditional Egyptian dancing and belly dancing which finished up around 8pm.

Returned to airport by 9pm for a long wait until 11.30 flight back to Sharm
Back at hotel by 1:45 am.

Absolutely tiring gruelling hot (34°) day, but it was worth it as we have now visited one of the seven ancient wonders of the world.

Despite parting with a large amount of cash and red flags going off each time we were taken somewhere to spend even more cash! The overall day, the execution of the tour operator was actually timely and comfortable. The guide was very polite and knowledgeable but constantly on her phone yapping to a friend! She indirectly hinted her previous guest gave big tips. All taxi drivers are not shy to ask for tips either. Given there was chaos all around and persistent sellers at the Pyramid sites and around town. We had a very memorable day and Sharm Excursions came through. Use Tui 4 worry free trip.

£760 (Pyramid entry, lunch, & museum entry + 4 return flights) + Sphinx entry £32.21 + £60 for the 2 camels and one horse and cart (15 mins) + £80 for the Nile Cruise Buffet/ Entertainment (2 hours)

The world is full of scams and people taking advantage , companies with absolute shocking customer services , When you have parted with your money only then you find small print you wasn't made aware off and then all the unanswered phone calls ...all the automated on hold numbers and those annoying tunes they play whilst your at the end of your patience and just want to screammmmm ....
WELL BELIEVE ME THIS COMPANY IS NONE OF THE ABOVE .
If you are reading these reviews ,then like I was and rightly so , you are in 2 minds on the fact you are talking via WhatsApp and being given bank transfer details for your tours to begin there first process..

I was abit worried when I first booked this online as I wasn’t too sure about the company.But when I actually got to Egypt and Muhammad contacted me again via WhatsApp my worries were over. My private airport collection was standing right outside the airport with my name on a board , the driver and Both our tour guides were so professional in the jobs and knowledgable and friendly and really made it interesting for all of us. They are second to none in my opinion .
Mohammed was great he kept in touch with me all the time via WhatsApp and made sure we were happy and everything ran like we were on a VIP guest list .
Very professional ! I would recommend anyone interested in a trip to the pyramids or Luxor or any of there on line services to book with Eygpt excursions.
The correct exchange rate was used and the payment went smoothly with no drama at all. We booked two trips and the rep met us on time as arranged. transfers were again all professionally arranged and we had all fully explained as to the transfers, to the flight , all the info we needed was given by our guide who met us exactly when arranged to . The whole booking process was quite painless and easy to do. Communication with Mohamed was so reassuring . I soon realised this company was first class . Deposit was paid at the time of booking online. Which by the way is absolutely no problem and not in any way a scam ...believe me.....and be at ease on the subject as you will not be disappointed in the choice you make by using Mohammed's services ...Balance was paid in Hurghada. We had private collection at airport , I Would certainly recommend them to friends & family and I would book again.In fact we are coming back April 4th 2023 ....So I will be in touch Mohammed for the next tours we have spoken about ......

The private excursion to Cairo was worth every penny.

Having to leave your resort to pay the fee is common practice, so don’t be alarmed at having to do that.

We are returning to Sharm and will be using Sharm Excursions to book all of our other trips.

Excellent tour with Sharm Excursions. Price was great for family of four. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and such a lovely lady. She allowed us to plan our day around what we wanted to see and do. Also captured the most beautiful pictures. The owner paid a surprise visit and was so very kind.
When looking online for a good company to book this tour with, being so far away in the UK, it wasn’t the easiest of tasks. Sharm Excursions made this journey seamless and provided us with a day we will never forget. Can’t wait for our next trip!

We (a couple) stayed in Sharm El Sheikh for 5 nights. During our stay we planned to join Cairo tour from Sharm - one day Excursion by plane. The communication before the tour was excellent and smooth with the tour director Mr. Mohamed. He organised more than everything about the trip for us. We upgraded our tour to private tour which cost a little more but we had a private car, a private professional guide who can speak fluent English and knows Egyptian history very well. We had a private Nile river boat trip as well and lunch by Nile River which were included the reasonable price. Before travelling to Egypt, we had some concerns about our trip to Cairo but they organised it very professionally and we didn't experience anything bad. Thanks for the arrangements and the organisation.

By the way in Sharm we also joined the glass boat tour to see corals and colourful fish which was an amazing experience for us. In Sharm Mr. Essam from the tour company helped us very kindly and organised the trips in a professional way. He was always on time to pick up us from the hotel. The vehicles we used were all brand new and comfortable. To sum up, if you want to visit Egypt, I highly recommend this company to arrange anything you want.

My name is Alin, from Romania and I was in Egypt along with my wife and our 2 children (4 and 9 years old) in January 2022! Sharm El Sheikh, to be more precise.
I would like to start this review by saying that our expectations were exceeded by Sharmexcursions.com during our week in Egypt, we were very happy with the tours organized by them!
We'd heard that Egyptians were very welcoming people, but Mr. Mohamed and his team were way more than that! They were there for us every time we needed, even with the smallest details! Even though some plans changed due to an unexpected storm, Mr. Mohamed managed to reschedule absolutely all the planned trips! We could clearly feel that they were there to help us, to guide us, to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
Glass boat, swimming with dolphins, safari, camel riding and dolphin show - were the tours they organized for us.

But the highlight of the week was "Cairo One Day excursion by plane"! And the guide that Mr. Mohamed recommended for us, the amazing Emy - it was exactly what we needed! Yes, the pyramids were breathtaking, the whole tour was enlightening but Emy was the very heart and soul of that day! Her information about literally Everything was astonishing but she also knew how to pace herself and keep our kids interested. Ema and Tudor adored her!
For us it was this "personal touch" that we really appreciated! For example there was this one time when our 4 year old son needed to go to the bathroom. And the timing could not have been worse! We were at the airport, in the middle of a convoy of at least 15 buses, waiting to leave, escorted by the police. And Emy open the door and she asked around for the nearest toilet. Which was not close at all! On the way there I asked her: what if right now they need to leave the airport - all 15 big coaches with tourists from all over the world! And she said: well, they'll have to wait, it's about a 4 year old boy we're talking about! She won our hearts right then and there! The whole day passed as if in a moment thanks to her. Thank you Emy, for everything!

At the end I want to thank you for all your work and attention to details in making our trip so wonderful. It was quite an adventure and we all had such a great time. See you next time!

Had the most amazing day, our guide Amy is the best, so knowledgeable about everything, and the most helpful person. The tour through the museum was outstanding, Amy, gave great details of all the artifacts, and got us in all the best positions for photos. Lunch on the trip was great, it was like a small banquet. Tour of the papyrus shop was very interesting, Make sure you barter for the price. Then we went to the pyramids, (if you have Amy as your guide, let her take the photos, Outstanding)
The view's around the pyramids are excellent, and not to be missed, if your lucky you can get the sunset.
We have been so lucky, given so many great memories to cherish forever.

Sharm Excursions organized an amazing experience for us - working with us to customize and personalize our trip. Transfers to/from the airport were smooth and our tickets were arranged in advanced. Our guide in Cairo - Mahmoud, was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable and relayed the information in a way that was not like listening to a history lesson. He really brought it to life. The lunch restaurant we went to was one of the best meals we had our entire trip! We will definitely use Sharm Excursions again when we visit and would highly recommend you do the same!
