Delivery was slower than expected but the problem was with two items.
A pair of scissors shown and listed to be the same as a pair I already own were not the same. The blades were wider and the handles were clunky and badly made.
The packaging and inner leaflet with the templates was in a very poor state. It looked like someone careless had used them for a long time.
I was told I could return the items and hope the warehouse would refund the cost of doing so.
I was never asked to review. They don't use trustpilot.

I love the program, presenters are great especially John and Stuart. I've purchased several items in the past, including an embroidery machine without issue. I am planning on upgrading my sewing machine and was going to purchase from Sewing Street but my latest experience makes it unlikely I will. I placed an order on 19th February and despite confirmation it was 'on its way' it still hadn't been shipped on 27th. I needed the items for a project the following weekend so I phoned and requested to cancel the order so I could buy elsewhere. I was told this wasn't possible as it had been sent that morning. Tracking showed 'in transit' for the next week, then this morning showed 'tracking unavailable'. I phoned again and was told their tracking still shows 'in transit'. I was told they will email the supplier but as they are not there over the weekend they won't receive the email til Monday (another weekend I can't start my project!') I asked if this happens a lot and was told that unfortunately it isn't uncommon as items are sent from different suppliers and not directly from Sewing Street' I posted on the Sewing Street Fans page on Facebook giving the heads up for anyone thinking of ordering items they need quickly. A few minutes later someone had commented on my post but when I went to read it my post had been removed. I posted again, politely asking why my post had been removed and again this was removed. I feel removing my posts with no attempt to respond adds insult to injury and my custom is clearly not valued.

I placed an order on 22nd Jan (1st order). Still waiting on 27th Feb. Phone calls and emails are getting nowhere. Told to wait till 19th Feb to give them time to deliver it. Waited and still not received anything. They said fill in form for refund. They have not sent any form. Will not shop with them again. Quicker getting things from abroad.

The paper pattern was posted on the 9.6.26 after it was delayed due to printing issues. As of 22.6.26 the paper pattern still not received. Email says to contact after two working days, customer service state I need to wait 15 working days before querying delivery. I have used many pdf patterns previously and have never had an issue with downloading and printing. Very disappointed not to have received my paper pattern. Would not order from them again

Sewing street do a fantastic job motivating customers to try new crafts and techniques. The presenters are fabulous and knowledgable and the demonstrations on tv are great albeit a little too short to be really useful in all cases.
What lets sewing street down is their delivery set up. At peak times, one understands some delays, but over two weeks delay in processing, leave alone delivery, is appalling. On top of that, during the Christmas period they have super sales events at great prices but not enough stock for all the sales that have gone through and there are numerous shortages after they’ve accepted the order and this happened order after order, one day to the next. It’s very disappointing as mostly they are presents at Christmas time.
They have outside vendors who send orders directly and they take days and get it wrong or miss out items and then one has to chase sewing street, who then chase the vendor and the time it takes to resolve is horrendous. It’s even worse if the courier delivery loose your parcel. It takes weeks, to get any resolution. Haven’t had the resolution yet after waiting and chasing sewing street for weeks. It’s always the customer who has to pay up and then hope and pray the order gets to them at some point. It’s deplorable.
I wish the back end service matched what the super presenters offer, a great experience. I fear sewing street is miles away from any sort of customer focused business at the moment.
I hope they take a long hard look at their service standards and re-do the delivery network and the staff needed to get the orders out. One would think as an online Sales outfit, they’d have figured this out but no, they’re far from even being average.
I write this review after experiencing issues with over 40 plus orders in a few months as I set myself up to be a sewist.
It’s a great concept, the TV show and the presenters, which gives small crafters a lot, both customers and vendors, but they could do with some changes in their own set up to make it more efficient and customer friendly.
At the moment, they’re great when the sales are low but fall apart when there’s a peak.
It would be great if we, as customers, were less accepting of the multiple excuses and bad customer service, given by businesses, but we should do it politely but emphatically, that’s if we want customer service to come up to the standards that were prevalent in the early 2000s. Just a thought.

I love the presenters , the choice of fabrics, notions etc and the opportunity to discover/try new crafts. However their customer service lets them down and slow delivery is frustrating. I can place an order on amazon or etsy and receive it within a couple of days - but with sewing street it can be 12 days.

Order has never arrived, waited requisite 10 working days before I could apply for refund and I'm still waiting for acknowledgement that they are doing something - like returning my money. Disgraceful service by any company, and their delivery service is diabolical. Emails are from an outside company - anything rather than a straighforward customer service it seems. Further to the reply from Sewing Street The above review was written after I had contacted them by both emails and phone - and I'm still waiting - they always start their communication with apologies even the deliveries you do get contain apologies for the delay. It would be better if they could deal with any expected delays before they happen.

Sewing Street is like a cult,loads follow it faithfully like moi!
It has a piece of virtually everything connected with sewing & more!
I have it on every morning even if not watching it all..I listen!
Great presenters & love the tips bits.I can do a French seam now!
The only bit I am not joyous about is selling clothes..I want to learn to make stuff,but no big deal..
Love you all,have been with you since the beginning,way back.
Keep it going,times are tough for a lot of people but this is so educational & good to have a go at things.

I watch this show most mornings either whilst doing my jobs or just chilling. The presenters are excellent and make me laugh a lot of the time. There is a good variety of demonstrators and projects. The fabric is good quality and affordable. Keep up the good work.

I can't fault this program and website. I have bought many items since I first discovered the program on tv just by hubby flicking through channels about 3 years ago. The presenters and guests are fabulous with laughter and banter. Just what we all need in gloomy times. I buy from sewing street because I know I will be getting quality products and not cheap rubbish that you can't touch and feel with online shopping. Buyers can trust what they buy. The behind the scenes also deserve praise due to their hard work to pull off perfect shows. Blips just make it all the more special. The customer service teams are also brilliant. You get emails to tell you your parcel has been dispatched so you have an idea when to expect them. Phone calls are answered promptly, and queries are dealt with there and then. All in all, it was a good and pleasant experience and I would highly recommend the sewing street team. Get watching peeps.

Love Sewing Street!! The shows are fabulous & items absolutely amazing. I love the fact that you only have to pay for postage once during the day - which can mean it’s difficult to stop shopping on said day but have yet to be disappointed with what I’ve received. Only slight frustration and this doesn’t affect my score is that it seems people work out somehow to buy stuff prior to it being shown on the show? How? Sometimes I don’t get to watch the live shows and have missed out on bits that I would have liked to purchase??

Sewing street are amazing. The program is excellent and very helpful. I only buy my sewing supplies from Sewing street.They demonstrate the products so you know what it’s for and how to use it so you can make an informed decision before buying it. One postage and packing all day is amazing.The customer service is excellent, you get a quick response

good variety of presenters and tutors/teachers/guests.
John is the presenter who asks the right questions, is honest about the fabric, items etc., Very good prices on all fabric and notions.
The customer care is not as good as it used to be as when you have a problem you end up with having to explain to different people and they dont seem to link together your problem. I do mute one presenter that is very screechy and overdos her exitement.
I dont like the amount of space the side and bottom info takes to the screen.

Sewing street is my daily go to, all the presenters and guests help me through the day, they are informative and have very good interaction with each other which is quite often comical. The ordering process is easy, delivery is somtimes delayed; if this is the case I usually receive an e mail informing of late dispatch. Sewing street feels like a family, and my companion through cancer treatment and ill health. On the whole the customer services are helpful, unfortunately there is the odd person that should work elsewhere. I do not get out to craft shows so sewing street keeps me up to date with new products.

I have been a member of Sewing street since the beginning and even before when it was Sewing quarter. I tune in to the channel every morning to watch the great demonstrations by excellent presenters and guests. I have purchased so many different items from sewing machines to rulers as well as an abundance of fabric over the years, shopping at least twice a month. I have found delivery to be excellent if something has been delayed I will get a email of notification. My only gripe is that some suppliers dispatch their goods from their own warehouse. When this happens you usually do not get a notification of dispatch due to data protection etc. But I know that approx 5-6 working days delivery is the norm. (Especially when you know they sell hundred and thousands of items each show.) I am very happy to use Sewing street especially as there are very few places to purchase fabric near me. Prices with Sewing street are very good and quality is exceptional, and I truly find their customer service team friendly and helpful.

I love Sewing Street and the presenters, it is the first thing I turn on in the morning! They cover a very good range of crafts and products, some are more interesting to me than others but all are very informative. I must admit to now being a bag-making addict, something I had never dreamed of, which just shows the power of Sewing Street
