10 years of problems
It's the quality and service after installation that matters and they did not do either well.
10 years ago I had an installation (that looked fine) but after just 6 years the windows started 'blowing' ie condensation between the layers.
From 12 windows fitted, 6 had to be replaced under the 10 year guarantee. A further 2 have failed recently after the 10 year guarantee expired in April 2025.
They replaced the 6 without quibble but it was hard work for me. On 2 separate occasions the replacements were wrong - internal Georgian bars misaligned - it took them 5 months to get them right.
Another time a replacement order got 'lost'. The Customer Service Manager told me they are too busy to acknowledge an order so you have no way of knowing until you chase weeks later. You do not get a replacement installation date until they arrive in their warehouse. I think they sub-contract all manufacturing. He also told me in 2021 that triple glazing windows are more efficient but don't last as long. The salesman failed to mention that!
I found they often don't return calls and when they do their landline is poor quality like their windows.
When I requested to escalate my concerns to senior management I was told the Directors don't get involved. That alone should be a red flag to any prospective customer.

We did replace six sealed units for you under your 10-year warranty, without any quibble. Unfortunately, some of these replacements were received incorrectly from our suppliers during the pandemic period, when global supply chains and manufacturing were heavily disrupted. This created longer-than-usual waiting times, and our phone lines were also under unprecedented pressure. While this was far from the service levels we strive for, we did work to resolve each issue for you as soon as possible once the correct items arrived at our depot.
We understand your disappointment regarding the two units that have recently failed outside of your warranty period. Our products are covered for 10 years, which is in line with industry standards. All sealed units will eventually deteriorate over time, whether double or triple glazed, but we do not have evidence to suggest that triple glazing is less durable.
We are sorry that you feel communication with us did not meet your expectations. Our aim is always to keep customers informed and supported, and we regret if at any point you felt this was not the case.
Your comments have been taken on board and will be shared with our senior management team, as we are continually working to improve both our service and communication.

From the initially enquiry at your Colchester showroom where friendly and efficient staff advised us on colours making it easy for us to make a choice 9OLive Grey). Through the ordering, surveying and financial sections which were swift and seamless. To the actual installation with swift and efficient scaffolding provided by Colchester Scaffolding followed by your Roofline team of Paul and Lee. Who travelled from Kent each day and worked tirelessly and efficiently on a daily basis to complete the job to a highly professional standard. They even explained what they were doing and why at each stage of the installation. Therefore we would not hesitate in recommend SEH BAC to anyone looking for quality products and outstanding efficiency

Very pleased with the new porch door…
Very pleased with the new porch door and windows. The installer did an excellent job. However we're having to get the lock changed as there is a thumb turn mechanism on the inside of the door, instead of a key lock, and this is a security risk. We hadn't spotted this on the quotation. Also we kept being asked by the surveyor to sign the same contract over and over. Having said that the new door is much admired and a friend has asked who installed it as she needs a new door.
