Racial profiling
I was at a No Frills on Oct 2, 2026, approx. 1:15 pm.
A security officer followed me around the store. Clear case of profiling. I noticed him, so I went to the cold cuts aisle; he followed me, then the aisle next to it (isle 1). He followed me. Back to cold cuts, then back to isle 1. Every time I switched back and forth, he was right behind me, not 3 seconds later. Back and forth between 2 aisles for 6 mins straight.
When I confronted him, he said he was just walking his regular route. I did not travel very far into the aisles, so apparently his "regular route" was 10 steps to monitor 2 aisles of the store, back and forth. I asked for his private security license card; he told me he didn't have one, but he pointed to his license # on his vest.
Then when I went to check out, he was there right behind me, so I ran another test. I went back to another aisle and came back to checkout. When I got back to checkout, he was gone. But 2 seconds later, he came back and stood 2 aisles away until I left the store.
