Welcome to Scots Law Talks - where we believe that knowledge of Scots law should be open to all. Our mission is to provide the public with knowledge and to encourage enthusiasm about law, as well as to empower students to pursue their dreams in higher education. Our talks explore the intricacies of the Scottish legal system and shed light on important topics, such as law, crime and justice. Our events and workshops offer attendees the opportunity to engage directly with important topics such as crime, law and justice through interactive sessions. Our pre-university preparation courses are designed to empower students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel at higher education.

Definitely worth attending
Wasn't sure what to expect but what a great night. For the whole two hours your attention and thought process is actively engaged. An evening well spent far better than sitting in front of the TV. You actually learn something about Scottish Law. Will definitely be going to other events.

Thought provoking
We both enjoyed the evening in Montrose. It's a serious subject but delivered with a light touch. Very thought provoking.
Looking forward to the third event in Crieff. I only wish it were closer to home.

Fun, informative and important
I have been to two of the talks so far, and Lindsay has done a brilliant job getting the public involved and putting information out there in such a fun way.
The talks give a behind-the-scenes look at decision making within Scottish Justice System with real cases. The talks are interesting, informative, involve the audience and cover such a important part of something that impacts us all.
They are more than just talks/presentations and are well worth getting involved in and I am looking forward to coming to some more!

Interesting interactive talks that introduce you to Scots Law. Lindsay is such an engaging enthusiastic speaker who makes a sometimes grim topic into a great night that is informative with some humour. Both Lindsay and Marc are welcoming and thoughtful to guests needs. I look forward to more thought provoking talks in future.

Another great talk
This is my 3rd time at an event by Scot’s law and the latest talk certainly didn’t disappoint. Very thought provoking and leaves you wishing the event didn’t have to end! I’d definitely recommend these talks if you have even the slightest interest in crime and law.

Fabulous! Wish the evening was longer!
My husband and I attended the “The Guilty Mind” event in Montrose. It was our first time experiencing this, so we weren’t sure what to expect really, but we thoroughly enjoyed it! Lindsey was friendly, engaging, funny and enthusiastic with the case studies and information given being interesting, informative, thought provoking and in one instance, a little too close to home for one audience member😆. We’ll definitely attend another evening, we just wish tonight went on a little longer!

Fascinating event, well worth going…
This was a very interesting and informative event. It was well presented and participation was encouraged but not essential.
The cases were real with information on the outcomes. The poll on cases was very interesting too. I would highly recommend this event. Lyndsay was a very exceptional speaker.

Great evening
If you are interested in the law in any capacity, then I can’t recommend these talks enough. This is my second time and I will be back again. I could listen to Lynsey talk all night, she is very engaging and the 2 hours fly in. The content is always thought provoking and the audience participation keeps it interesting.
